Dodge Challenger Srt8 - First Year Ed. #5279 / 6400 - Sunroof Navigation Kicker on 2040-cars

First Year Edition #5279 / 6400 22,751 miles 6.1L Hemi V8 5-speed automatic transmission Navigation Kicker subwoofer Heated seats Sunroof K&N cold air intake Mopar T-Handle shift knob Car cover for winter storage Actual spare tire instead of air compressor / fix-a-flat New tires on rear Why I am Selling I bought this car in New York after my fiancee wrecked her CRD Grand Cherokee last summer. We put a lot of miles on it in the first few months, but I had her Jeep rebuilt and back on the road by September. We garaged this car through winter, and now we don't seem to drive it that much. We are having a hard time justifying the car payment, so it's time to sell it. It needs to belong to someone who is going to drive and enjoy it. Exterior I would rate the exterior an 8/10. It has minor scuffs and scratches that come with cars of this age and mileage. There are two significant scratches of note (see pictures): the first is on the hood at the front edge just right of the striping and is approximately 2"x5", and the second is on the driver's rear view mirror and is approximately 4" long. I have not tried to work these out. The car also has some errant wax on the lower trim. I intended to have it detailed, only to find my detailer has gone out of business. It could use a good wax and buff to make it really shine. Interior I would rate the interior a 9/10. The leather has some creases forming on the outside bolsters on the driver's seat (common for a car of this age and mileage), but I cannot find a rip or tear in any seat or section of the carpet. It has been kept clean the entire time it has been with us. We're in our 30s, we don't smoke, and we don't have kids. Modifications There are two aftermarket parts added by the previous owner: a K&N cold air intake and a Mopar T-handle shifter. All US SRT-8 and R/T Challengers come with a mini air compressor and a fix-a-flat blend for any flat tires because normal spare tires wouldn't clear the massive brakes. I went and got a hub adapter, 18" spare tire, a jack, and the lug wrenches needed to give this car a legitimate spare tire. I still have the mini compressor and I believe I have the Styrofoam insert for the spare tire well, and will gladly include these. I just didn't want the risk of getting stranded with no spare tire. Maintenance We have only used the Mobil 1 0w40 recommended on the oil cap. We have changed the oil when it tells us to. Given the average intervals, it should be due for an oil change any day. I will be sure to change the oil before it sells so any buyer doesn't have to worry about a change oil message on their way home. We also replaced the rear tires with Yokohama Parada Spec-Xs a few months ago. The front tires have about 20% of their tread left and do stick well. I would guess they have about 4-5,000 miles left. Replacements to match the rears can be found at Discount Tire. Accident History We have not had any incidents in the year that we have owned it. A title history check shows there is a minor accident or act of vandalism occurring before we owned it, despite still having a clear title. I cannot speak definitively as it happened in New York to the previous owner, but I cannot find a bad line on the car. Additionally, there was a large spot of stained clear near the fuel filler when I bought the car. It completely buffed out, leading me to believe this was an act of vandalism. Again, I cannot speak definitively, but I encourage you to inspect the car if you can and verify its condition. Shipping I love driving across the US. If you don't and want it delivered for less, we can work out a deal. I can also pick you up at the airport (ABQ) or work with any auto transport service you hire to move the car. I am extremely flexible and will do everything I can to help. Payment As mentioned before, we have a loan on the car. HOWEVER, I have arranged alternate financing to get the title released in the event it sells. I will need 7-10 days to process my funding and get the title released and in hand. I do not require anything beyond the deposit before the transaction to get the title in-hand and ready to transfer. Any payments of the balance must come in the form of cash or a certified check. I have a bank that is available Monday-Saturday, and we can schedule a time to meet there and complete the transaction. Inspections, Questions, etc. If you would like to have the car inspected or you have any questions, please let me know. I am quick to respond to emails, and I will likely load the eBay app on my phone so I can respond even faster during this auction. Please do not hesitate to ask a question or make an offer. The worst I can say is no. Thanks for looking at this ad! Disclaimers I have this vehicle for sale on multiple sites. It is for sale locally, and I reserve the right to cancel the transaction up to 7 days prior. If any cancellation occurs, full notice will be given and any monies exchanged will be returned. This is a used vehicle and comes for sale as-is. There are no warranties expressed or implied with the car. |

2015 Dodge Charger priced from $27,995, Hellcat from $63,995*
Sun, 19 Oct 2014Ladies and gentlemen, let's get the most salient bit of information out of the way right off the bat: $63,995*. That's the amount of money Dodge dealers will be asking for (at the very least, naturally) for a 2015 Charger Hellcat (*plus $995 for destination on all pricing figures). That rather reasonable sum will bring home its buyer a 6.2-liter Hemi V8 engine boasting a supercharger to post such gaudy figures as 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque, leading to a top speed of 204 miles per hour to go along with an NHRA-certified quarter-mile time of 11.0 seconds.
With that out of the way, the rest of the 2015 Dodge Charger pricing information breaks down as follows: $27,995 will deliver a sedan with a 292-horsepower 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Moving up one step of the ladder nets the buyer an SXT model with the same engine, but a nicer chunk of technology and optional equipment for a $2,000 premium. All-wheel drive adds another $3,000. Hemi V8-powered R/T models now boast an eight-speed transmission bolted to the same well-loved 370-horsepower engine as before, for a base price of $32,995.
The SRT 392 model that had hitherto been the top-performing Charger brings with it an asking price of $47,385 while bargain hunters can equip a Charger R/T Scat Pack machine with that same 485-horsepower 6.4-liter Hemi, albeit with somewhat less posh interior bits and pieces, the removal of the 392's adjustable suspension and hi-po wheel and tire package for $39,995.
How to update and secure a vulnerable Chrysler Uconnect system
Sat, Jul 25 2015If you own one of the 1.4 million vehicles affected by the recent Chrysler software recall, you may want to watch this video. In it, we explain how to get the latest infotainment software loaded onto the 8.4-inch Uconnect system. The recall was a response to the findings of researchers who were able to hack into and remotely control a 2014 Jeep Cherokee through its cellular connection. Although Fiat Chrysler has worked with Sprint to plug most of the holes on the carrier side, there are still some vulnerabilities that only this latest software version can patch. Owners have three options to get the update: download it now, wait for a USB stick in the mail, or take the vehicle to an FCA dealer. Chrysler will be sending USB sticks loaded with the software update to customers. Anyone with an internet connection and a USB stick of their own with at least 4 GB capacity can speed things up by downloading the patch from the Uconnect website. We cover that process from start to finish in the video, with the final portion still applicable to those using the FCA-supplied USB stick. If after watching this you still don't want to tackle the patch yourself, you can take your vehicle to the dealer to have it done. Also note that this process is the same for all Uconnect updates, not just the one patching the exploits. Our demonstrator vehicle is a 2015 Ram 1500 pickup. The procedure should be very similar on other products with the 8.4-inch Uconnect system, with only the location of the USB port varying. Once you have the USB stick with the software on it – either after having downloaded it yourself or receiving it in the mail from Chrysler – the installation process is relatively simple. It takes about 15 minutes to perform the update; we edited out the wait in the video. To check whether or not your car's 8.4-inch Uconnect system is running the latest software, go to System Information on the touch screen's Settings page and look at Software Version. The update related to the recall is version 15.17.5. Related Video: Recalls Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM Safety Technology Infotainment Videos Original Video hacking
Dodge Hellcats getting price hike
Fri, Aug 21 2015Dodge plans twice as many Hellcats on the road for the 2016 model year, they are going to be a bit more expensive when buyers sign on the dotted line. According to CarsDirect and confirmed to Autoblog by Dodge, 2016 Challenger SRT Hellcat costs $65,190, an increase of $4,200 over 2015. That figure includes $995 for destination and $1,700 for the Gas Guzzler charge. The latest Charger SRT Hellcat retails for $68,640, a $3,650 increase. Other SRT trims of the muscle cars also see a price hike. The 2016 Challenger SRT 392 is $51,190, after destination and a $1,000 guzzler charger – a $3,500 increase. The Charger SRT 392 also jumps $3,000, to $51,990. Even at 2015's prices, Dodge was having problems keeping up with demand for the Hellcat, and the higher price isn't likely to change that. And before you think the company is going plum crazy, the 2016 models of all four muscle cars come standard with Laguna leather seats and navigation. According to company spokesperson Dan Reid to Autoblog, both items had a "very high customer take rate," and the previously optional features are valued at $2,490. Dodge previously announced a discount for those who had a sold 2015 Hellcat order canceled in the switch to 2016. Those amount to $5,000 on the Challenger and $4,000 Charger, which seems like a sweet deal for those customers. Related Video:
