Sporting a dope paint job and some wheels that make a blunt statement about what the driver enjoys, it's a unique take on the popular customizing trend.
The owner may be kiefing it real with the theme on this Dodge Charger, but when your car looks like this, it's easy to weed out from the crowd. Chronic police stops must also make it a pain to drive on a regular basis, though. Even with the big wheels, we bet the driver still finds time to light 'em up. Want a new 2017 Viper? You'd better call Gerry Wood Dodge
Thu, Oct 6 2016As unfortunate as the news may be, the Dodge Viper is entering its final year of production. Slow sales and increased safety regulations have finally killed Dodge's big, brutish, and beautiful supercar. It will be missed. According to Motor Authority, those looking to pick up one of the last remaining models will have to travel to Gerry Wood Dodge in Salisbury, North Carolina. The dealer has apparently managed to secure the final allocation of cars for itself. All 135 or so remaining cars will be sold exclusively through Gerry Wood Dodge. While Dodge has already sold out of the limited-edition 2017 models, Gerry Wood Dodge put a team together to research and create their own unofficial limited-edition cars. These will be ordered in specific and unique color and option combinations. Dodge offers more than 8,000 colors for the Viper, so picking out a few unused shades couldn't have been too difficult. While these aren't official, it should provide some bragging rights to owners who manage to secure one of the special cars. Despite the exclusivity and hoarding the final few vehicles, Gerry Wood Dodge doesn't plan to add a dealer markup to the car. Chrysler set to make $266M-investment into 8-speed transmission production
Wed, Dec 10 2014Chrysler will shortly make a significant $266-million investment into its Kokomo, IN transmission factory in a bid to expand production of its eight-speed automatic transmissions. The gearboxes, which are built under license from Germany's ZF Friedrichshafen, have been well received by customers and critics, and according to an SEC filing obtained by Automotive News, the transmissions will eventually find their way to all of Chrysler's rear-drive offerings (Viper and heavy-duty Ram models, aside). According to AN, a Chrysler spokesman says the investment has not been confirmed, but once it is, it'll mark the company's latest in a growing line of investments at the facility. Chrysler has poured $1.5 billion into Kokomo since 2009.
