2014 Dodge Challenger RT-Mr. Norm Prototype Cuda Edition new Challenger--- 5.7 hemi with automatic transmission. This is my personal car with only 5200 or so miles on it. It is Billet Silver with Matte Black graphics and Dark Graphite/Black interior. I handle the Mr. Norm sales and development of parts. This prototype car was used to develop our matte black cuda tailpanel-which is just becoming available to the public-not even on the website yet, our new 1971 cuda fender gills completed without any paint work required, and our vinyl 1971 Hemi Billboard & Hood graphics. Until this car, we painted all Hemi Billboards/Graphics on the cars, with this car we actually developed our hemi billboards & hood graphic in vinyl so our clients have the option to have them in paint or vinyl. The hemi on the door is actually two inches taller than the original one we used to use. The idea behind this car was not to do any paintwork to the car. All past models would have had paintwork completed for either the fender gills and/or billboards. There has been no paintwork done to this car, it is completely the factory paint on this car. This car has the following items added to the car: Mr. Norm 1971 Fender Gills without any paintwork Mr. Norm Hemi Billboards & Hood Graphic in Vinyl with flat matte black gas door to blend in with billboard Mr. Norm Matte Black Cuda Tailpanel with accents Mr. Norm Cuda Grill finish in the correct 1971 Dark Argent paint Mr. Norm Performance Suspension-Lowered 2 inches Hurst Automatic Shifter Arm and Ball 2014 SRT Forged Wheels and Tires-less than 40 miles on them This car has all the modern conveniences including climate control a/c, remote and push button start with the styling of a classic Cuda. This car turns heads and doesn't look like all the other challengers on the road. You will stand out and get attention with this car. Nothing that was done to this car that effects the factory warranty so you have the remainder of the entire factory warranty with this car. It drives better than it looks with the upgraded suspension kit. This is your chance to own a piece of automotive history. I have a friend at a local dealership that can/will handle all the paperwork for the new buyer-they will do a complete inspection of the car for the new buyer since they will be handling the sale paperwork for me. You can buy with confidence since they can/will be handling the transaction. If you need financing they can help with that as well or you can provide your own. Please feel free to call me at 81 three-78 nine 617 nine with any and all questions. Thanks and Good Luck |

Why the Charger Hellcat can't be ordered with a manual transmission
Sun, 16 Nov 2014Fans of truly irreverent amounts of horsepower will find lots to love in the form of the 2015 Dodge Challenger and Charger Hellcat models. Both of them send 707 ridiculous horsepower to the rear wheels; the only question is whether you want your absurdity delivered with two or four doors. Oh, and whether or not you want the option of a manual transmission.
If you prefer rowing your own gears, the choice is made for you; there is no manual gearbox option available on the Charger Hellcat, or any Charger model at all, for that matter. Wonder why? Well, besides the fact that almost nobody - sorry, clutch fans, but it's true - would choose to buy a Charger with a manual transmission, that is? The answer, according to an industry insider in a post written on Jalopnik's Opposite Lock forum, is the floorpan.
It's probably not a surprise to most of our readers that the Dodge Challenger and Charger share a large portion of their chassis structure, which is codenamed LX at Chrysler, but there are still some significant differences under the skin due to the shorter wheelbase and two-door coupe bodyshell of the Challenger, as opposed to the sedan shape of the Charger. One of the differences is the floorpan, the huge chunk of sheetmetal that makes up the floor of the car and props up such essential items as the car's seats.
Diesel Power finds the ultimate modified oil-burner
Sat, 24 Aug 2013For nine years, Diesel Power magazine has run the Diesel Power Challenge, this year's grindfest being "a week-long torture test that features seven events, nine trucks, 8,000 horsepower, and nearly 15,000 pound-feet of torque." The road to being crowned "the most powerful truck" starts with a dyno run, and then continues through the completion of a CDL-style obstacle course, an eighth-of-a-mile drag race while towing a 10,000-pound trailer, a quarter-mile drag race without a trailer, a fuel economy test in the mountains and finally a sled-pulling test through a 300-foot-long packed-mud pit.
What kind of trucks get into such a fight? Last year's winner, for instance - who upgraded his truck this year to prove he didn't "luck into the win" - drives a 2008 Ford F-250 Super Duty with a 6.4-liter Power Stroke V8 upgraded with a custom intake, Elite Diesel triple turbos and a two-stage nitrous system. Another competitor has a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 powered by a 5.9-liter Cummins inline-six, upgraded with Garrett turbos, dual-stage nitrous, a seven-inch exhaust stack and twin fans built into the bed to cool the Sun Coast Omega transmission. The numbers on that truck: 1,255 horsepower, and 2,063 pound-feet of torque at the wheels. Naturally, as the image above might suggest, things don't always end well.
You'll find all five videos covering this years challenge below. A scene in the dyno video sums it all up perfectly: a competitor leaves his nitrous on too long and the crew is treated to some ominous poppings, he leans out the window, throws both hands up and shouts, "Amer'ca!"
Dodge Vipers selling for $480k in China
Wed, Apr 29 2015Want to get your hands on a new Dodge Viper? Be prepared to pay dearly. It starts at nearly $90k here in the US, but that's nothing compared to what you'd have to pay for one if you lived in, say, China. CarsNewsChina.com reports on one Viper available in Beijing for an eye-watering 298 million yuan – equivalent to about $480,000 at today's exchange rates and representing more than a 500-percent markup. Part of that premium comes down to the Chinese tax code that charges a reported 60 percent for anything with an engine displacing over four liters. And the Viper's, we needn't remind you, is more than twice that. It naturally costs some to import a car to China as well, but most of the rest is pure profit. The Beijing dealership reportedly gets the cars from dealers in California, has already sold three and plans to import several more. The dealer can also get you (or wealthy Chinese individuals) a Corvette Stingray for a comparatively cheap 1.73 million yuan (or $280k). Related Video:
