1970 Dodge Challenger.  383 4 speed from the factory.  This is a project car that was running and driving when parked and has been sitting since 1991. The car was started last week, the engine sounds good with no engine noises. Missing rear valance, drivers head light bezel, center council front hood trim and rear deck trim. The car came from the factory with a 4 speed, now has an automatic. I have taken out the old carpet to show the condition of the floors. Cleaning part of the floors, seems they were painted from the factory with a light overspray. There is no rust holes in the floors although the drivers rear show no paint and has surface rust. There are pin holes on the outer rear valance under the rear window and the window chrome is sitting there for the picture, found it in the car when taking out carpet. Found many things in the carpet, tools, oil filter, window crank and more. Have not started the car through the fuel tank so will try to drive the car later. The interior is dusty and dirty, needing to be cleaned. The dash pad is cracked, the headliner is out although the headliner seat belts are in tact. The body is in very good condition, good body lines, seems to have had body work on drivers front fender and hood from same incident, with the only body rust on the rear passenger quarter (lower rear) and a small hole in the front of both doors. Do not have a working key for the trunk so there is no knowledge of condition. The doors have very good gaps and open and close well.

Travis Pastrana signs with Dodge for another year, brings partner Bryce Menzies [w/video]

Sun, 14 Apr 2013

Dodge and SRT Motorsports announced that the Dodge Dart will be returning for its sophomore season of the Global Rallycross Championship with a two-car team fielded by Pastrana Racing. Travis Pastrana drove his GRC Dart to victory lane in the fourth race of the car's inaugural season, and his race team is looking for even more success with the addition of off-road racer Bryce Menzies behind the wheel of the second car.
The 2013 GRC season kicks off on April 21 in Brazil with plenty of dirt-spewing, ramp-jumping action. Scroll down for a video from the cars' main sponsor, Red Bull, and a press release from Chrysler.

Dodge pulls New Girl and The Office stars for new Dart spots

Wed, 06 Aug 2014

Dodge is hoping that a heavy dash of humor helps it move some more units of the Dart with a hilarious ad campaign called Don't Touch My Dart. The spots star actors Craig Robinson, best known for his role as Darryl on The Office, and Jake Johnson from New Girl as neighbors and friends playing a game of one-upmanship over Robinson's new car. Johnson is envious of the ride and just wants to touch it.
The ads are pretty funny if you're a fan of somewhat absurdist humor, and Robinson has just the right amount of over-the-top seriousness to really make the commercials work. They have kind of a Roadrunner and Wile E. Coyote vibe with Johnson constantly in inept pursuit of what he wants, but he clearly isn't getting it.
The first four spots in the campaign are already online, but according to Dodge this is just the beginning. The company says that it's planning about 24 different versions of these ads in various lengths to play on TV and online. You can check out the ads titled First Scratch, Birdhouse Police Garage Door and Voice Touching below, along with the brand's release about the new ads. There's also a pretty good gag on its YouTube page with Robinson protecting his Dart.

QB says University of Alabama offered him a Corvette to play football

Fri, 16 May 2014

The University of Alabama Crimson Tide football team could be in some hot water, following a pair of posts on social media.
The first post was sure to raise a few eyebrows on its own. It's an Instagram of sophomore running back Derrick Henry standing in front of his new Dodge Challenger (we're guessing it's an R/T based on the fender stripes). Complete with a custom set of wheels, the image was enough to trigger more than a few questions about where an unemployed student-athlete came up with the money for such a purchase. Now, this could be harmless. Henry, flush with a full-ride to Bama could have convinced his parents to get him something nice with his college fund.
The second post, though, is a straight-up accusation. It comes from former West Virginia Mountaineer and current CFL quarterback Pat White, who posted the following on his Facebook page.
