Braun Handicap Mobility Wheelchair Van Mint Condition Low Miles Power Ramp Clean on 2040-cars
Plainville, Connecticut, United States
This 2000 Model Dodge Grand Caravan is in excellent condition. It has the best wheelchair conversion available today and is made by Braun Corporation. The Entervan has the most reliable lowered floor system today. It is 10" lowered throughout and has a power ramp and door. With the push of a button the door slides open, the van lowers down several inches with the power kneeling system and the power ramp folds out. This van is in amazing condition. Runs, drives, shifts, handles the road like it did the day it drove off the lot new. The van has all new all season tires, all new brakes, and proves to have been very well maintained. The tires are even filled with nitrogen ($100) because it gives a better overall ride. The previous owner purchased the van with 4500 original miles on it so basically a one owner. Behind the wheel you will be more then pleased. I just sold a 2011 Dodge Caravan Braun van for $37k and to be completely honest with you, this van drives nicer then that one did. This van has no accidents either. There is no rust either. You are looking at a garaged, maintained, very clean van that will offer you the same service a van will that will cost double and triple this one. We have gone through this van with a 150 point safety and service inspection and it passed with flying colors. Be rest assured braun corp conversion is built much better then the VMI conversions, AMS conversions, or IMS conversions. Ive had them all in stock and Braun is a nationwide company with hundreds of locations across the country. Please review our 100% perfect feedback. We pride ourselves on this as it reflects who we are and how we describe our listings. Dodge engineers trying to shoehorn Pentastar into Dart?
Tue, 19 Nov 2013The fact that the Dart's launch has been a pretty dismal affair isn't what we'd call secret. Judging by its mounting inventories and poor critical reception, Dodge's successor to its unloved Caliber has struggled since it hit the market. And while both of those are difficult problems to address, at least their cause is well known - the powertrain.
Even Fiat-Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne has acknowledged that the powertrain options in the Dart are substandard, admitting at January's Detroit Auto Show that the powertrains are "less than ideal." Leading with the 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder found in the Fiat 500 Abarth left a bad taste in the mouths of consumers thanks to the laggy engine and dead throttle response (to say nothing of the manual and dual-clutch gearboxes that needed more refinement). The addition of the 184-horsepower 2.4-liter Tigershark in the Dart GT has helped matters some, but apparently Auburn Hills doesn't think it's quite enough.
If rumors are to be believed - get that salt ready - a possible solution may be in the works. A report from Allpar is claiming that Dodge is considering fitting a Pentastar V6 into the Dart's engine bay. As the Mopar-obsessed website points out, the critically acclaimed Pentastar is available in three different sizes - 3.0 liters, 3.2 liters and the original 3.6 liters. We don't get the 3.0 here in the US, but the 3.2 can be found in the new Jeep Cherokee and the 3.6 has been seemingly fitted to every model Chrysler can shoehorn it into.
Chrysler recalling 700k minivans and Dodge Journey for ignition switch woes
Tue, 01 Jul 2014General Motors isn't the only automaker with ignition switch problems. Chrysler is fighting it too and is now announcing a recall of 695,957 examples worldwide of the Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans from the 2008-2010 model years, plus the 2009-2010 Dodge Journey.
According to a statement from Chrysler, the models have a bad wireless ignition node detent ring in the ignition switch, making it possible for drivers to appear to have the key in the "Run" position but for the spring not to fully engage. It can then slip back to the "Accessory" position and shut the car off. If this happens, the vehicle loses power steering, brake boost and the airbags.
There is some disparity about the number of vehicles affected under this recall. In its statement, Chrysler claims that it covers 525,206 vehicles in the US, 102,892 in Canada, 25,591 in Mexico and 42,268 elsewhere. However, the recall announcement posted by The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration lists an estimated 438,109 vehicles in the US. Chrysler spokesperson Nick Cappa told Autoblog via email that the reasoning for the different figures "will become clear at a later date."
