General info: This 1998 Dodge Viper GTS (VIN 1B3ER69E6WV401546) has stock Viper Silver paint, black leather interior, 6-speed transmission, a clean title on CarFax.com, and 37,000 miles. The car is 99% perfect and has NO leaks, NO smoke, and doesn't use ANY oil . The car includes the owner's manual and original window sticker. The cleanest 30k+ mile Viper you'll ever see.

Mechanical aspects: This Viper runs perfectly with no flaws. Like I mentioned earlier, there are NO leaks or smoke, and it doesn't use ANY oil. I added K&N filters to it and put in new stock Champion spark plugs, and it also has tinted windows and EBC green brake pads/new rotors (less brake dust than stock pads.) Everything else is stock. The car has OEM Michelin Pilot Sport tires with 50% tread on the 335/35 rear tires and 75% tread on the 275/40 front tires.) The brakes are very smooth and solid without vibration. The transmission and differential fluid are full and clean. The transmission shifts smoothly without grinding, and doesn't pop out of gear or do anything else abnormally. The car hasn't used any oil since I've owned it. The factory Viper Gen2 V-10 engine is rated at 450 horsepower, but numerous dyno tests show that factory Gen2 Vipers have around 475 HP @ the crank. This Viper should make about 500 crank horsepower as it sits. The car has never been to a race track or a dyno as far as I know.

Interior:
Carpet/floormats: The car has aftermarket floormats with the 'Viper head' logo on them. The carpet is a 10 out of 10, with no burn marks, etc..
Seats: The seats that came in the car are also in perfect shape, with NO wear. These are the nicest seats that have been in any of the Vipers.
Dash/console/paneling: The console area around the shifter, radio, A/C controls, and gauges is in perfect shape with NO scratches. The rest of the paneling in the car (including doors) is in perfect shape as well.
Stereo: Has Pioneer CD/Bluetooth audio (and hands free phone)with amp and sub sounds real good.

Exterior:
The paint is VERY shiny and scratch/swirl free. There are NO dings on the car. The car looks 99% brand new, with no defects or problems on the body that need repair

Chrysler minivans under investigation for stalling after fuel refill

Wed, 10 Sep 2014

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, at least one man has reported that his 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan stalled unexpectedly on the highway shortly after being refueled. The unidentified man who contacted NHTSA regarding the issue cited as many as eight similar instances reported by other drivers.
NHTSA has announced that it will launch an inquiry into this issue, which could affect as many as 160,000 minivans from Dodge and Chrysler that were sold in 2007 (or more, if a problem is found that extends to additional models years, we'd assume). As of yet, there's no formal investigation, let alone a recall, on these vans, as the agency is merely determining if further action is needed.
Two months ago, Chrysler recalled nearly 700,000 vehicles, the majority of which were minivans, from the 2008-2010 model years to replace ignition switches after an investigation found that their weak springs and detent positions could fool a driver into thinking the car was in the "Run" position, when it's actually in the "Accessory" position.

We got an inside look at Mopar's cars that will be on display at the show, which also include a Dodge Challenger T/A concept, two crazy Jeeps and a Ram 2500 Outdoorsman that could change the way you camp. While these are some of our favorites, Mopar is bringing plenty to SEMA, so let us know your top choices in the comments section.

Dodge revives Challenger T/A and Charger Daytona trims for 2017

Tue, Aug 16 2016

Dodge is reviving the Challenger's T/A trim and the Charger's Daytona line for 2017. Introduced on iconic Woodward Avenue just days before the annual Woodward Dream Cruise kicks off, the new variants promise more performance hardware and sportier aesthetics. We'll start with the two-door. The Challenger T/A, available with either the R/T trim's 5.7-liter V8 or the fire-breathing 6.4-liter Hemi V8, is inspired by the Challenger T/As of old. That means a less restrictive, 2.75-inch active exhaust system and a conical Mopar air filter. But there's no clear bump in output – Dodge still lists the base 5.7-liter at 375 horsepower and the 6.4-liter model at 485 hp. But hey, they're going to look cooler. Unlike the Challenger Hellcat, which should have it as standard, Dodge is including a Satin Black hood on every Challenger T/A. In fact, Satin Black is a recurring theme on this Challenger's front fascia, roof, rear decklid, and T/A bodyside stripes. And yes, the 20-inch Mopar wheels are black, too – they're also an inch wider than normal. Dodge is offering the T/A in three different trims. The base T/A has everything we described above, while the T/A Plus adds some comfort features like heated and vented Nappa leather seats, an 8.4-inch UConnect system with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a six-speaker stereo, and a shortcut button for the Dodge Performance Pages. The T/A 392, meanwhile, adds the 6.4-liter V8, even wider wheels, and Brembo six-pot calipers. If you prefer smoking tires with four doors, there's the new Charger Daytona. No, there's not an enormous wing on the back. But Dodge added the same kind of engine/exhaust upgrades found on the T/A while upping the top speed from 135 to 150 miles per hour. Satin Black features prominently again, with hood and rear fender graphics. The roof is also black. Unlike the Challenger, Dodge is only offering two different versions of the Daytona – the 5.7-liter base model and the 6.4-liter version, called the Daytona 392. Prices for the Challenger T/A start at $38,485, including a $1,095-destination charge, while the T/A Plus adds $2,750. Adding the 392 means shelling out $45,090. For the Daytona, you'll need a check for $40,985 for the 5.7-liter or $46,090 for the 6.4-liter. Orders for the Charger Daytona open in September, while the T/A is a month later. Related Video:
