2006 Dodge Viper Srt-10 Coupe - No Reserve!!! - Highly Modified Show Car Winner on 2040-cars
Clearwater, Florida, United States
2006 Dodge Viper SRT-10 coupe 1 of 127 coupes made in 2006 that were black with no stripes My Viper won 1st Place Best Domestic at FL2K 2013. It has also been featured by HRE and Stance:Nation. Body has 46,xxx miles. Motor only has 4,000 miles on it. Mileage will change slightly as I might drive it to work this week and plan on taking it to Cars & Coffee. This car has $29,000 in aftermarket modifications, not including the $8,000 I spent to rebuild the motor. With the mixture of the blacked out car and Snakeskin Green accents, this car is a real head turner. The paint was professionally wet sanded and buffed 3 months ago, so the paint looks fantastic! The car sounds and drives just as good as it looks. If you want a quiet car, this is not the car for you...it sounds the way a Viper should sound! Before I bought the car, there was an insurance claim for $1200 back in 2010 to have the front bumper repainted (I can email a copy of the CarFax that I obtained 2 weeks ago). I bought the car stock 2 years ago with 39,xxx miles on it and the car now has 46,xxx miles on it. All the modifications have been done within the last 4,000 miles when the motor was rebuilt due to #3/4 rod bearing failure. This car needs nothing! No expenses have been spared to make this Viper stand out from the rest. The car has been used as my weekend driver on nice days and driven to car events. I just took it to the drag strip for the first time a couple weeks ago and ran a 11.70 @ 124mph with a 1.9 60' in 90 degree humid Florida...this car has a lot more in it! Exterior Modifications:
Wheels/Tires/Suspension:
Performance Modifications:
Interior Modifications:

I will sell the car for $2,000 less than selling price if you want the OEM 18"/19" 10-spoke wheels (I'd prefer to keep my HREs for my next Viper). If you have any questions, please contact me at 727-foureighteight-4708 or tommy8897 at hot mail dot com. |

Experience the Woodward Dream Cruise in a Dodge Challenger Hellcat
Thu, Aug 20 2015While Autoblog was consumed by coverage of the increasingly important Monterey Car Week last weekend, there was another big even going on. The Woodward Dream Cruise is significantly lighter in terms of news, but there's no denying that it's a far bigger, and far more egalitarian than what the wine-and-cheese crowd experience on the links at Pebble Beach. The Dream Cruise crams tens of thousands of cars and over a million spectators along a four-lane ribbon of asphalt between Ferndale and Pontiac, MI. What's remarkable aren't these numbers, though, so much as the distances they travel. Owners and admirers come from far and wide, across the United States and in some cases across the globe, to take in the spectacle. This year, local radio and television coverage featured fans that traveled from Japan, Australia, and Europe, just to take in the cruise. Of course, we realize that not everyone can make the pilgrimage to Woodward Avenue. With that fact in mind, we decided to bring a bit of the Dream Cruise to Autoblog with a time-lapse video of the cruise route. You can experience the good (a Lamborghini Gallardo, Chevrolet Chevelle, and Oldsmobile Cutlass 442), the bad (the traffic jams), and the ugly (no, your 2003 Ford Focus does not qualify as a classic, get the hell out of the cruiser lanes). So join us, as we turn off 8 Mile Road behind the wheel of our 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and run north, through Ferndale, Pleasant Ridge, Royal Oak, Huntington Woods, Berkley, Bloomfield Township, and Bloomfield Hills, before ending up on Wide Track Drive in Pontiac.
Edmunds ranks the best used cars for 2013
Sun, 15 Sep 2013When people ask us what car we would recommend for them, it's usually not easy to answer. To make a useful recommendation we must consider which of the numerous vehicle segments fits their needs best, and then choose one of the many vehicles offered in each segment. For some people, new cars don't meet their expectations of value, because they lose so much of it the moment they are purchased and driven off the dealer lot. For them, there's always the used-car market, where great deals can be found, but cars' histories of reliability and maintenance records - and perhaps that Certified Pre-Owned warranty - become ever-important factors playing into purchase choice.
To help out, Edmunds has done us the favor of assembling a list of the best used vehicles money can buy, covering model years 2006-2011, according to what it considers the most important criteria when shopping for used autos: reliability, safety, value and availability. That means unreliable, unsafe, super-expensive or limited-edition models don't appear on the list, but instead cars from each segment that are more likely to satisfy the general population.
There are some real goodies on the list, including but not limited to vehicles such as the capable Honda Fit, the cultish Honda Accord coupe (which can be had with a 240-horsepower V6 and a six-speed manual transmission some years), and the powerful Chevrolet Corvette. While Edmunds' choice of the Volvo C70 for best used convertible baffled us at first (not that it's a bad car), it redeemed itself by stating that the Mazda MX-5 still is an unofficial top choice if you don't require more than two seats.
Chrysler recalls AWD 300, Charger, Ram 1500 over ZF transmission
Tue, 24 Dec 2013What do the Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger and Ram 1500 all have in common? Yes, they're all Chrysler products, and two of them are based on the same platform. And we're sure you could find more similarities between them all, but the common trait we're looking at here is that, while they all come standard in rear-drive form, they're also available with all-wheel drive. And it's the transmission in those models that's the subject of the latest recall notice issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The output shaft on the eight-speed automatic transmission supplied by ZF to Chrysler for the AWD versions of the 300, Charger and Ram 1500 is apparently prone to fracture. That in the end could leave the vehicle without power and could, according to the NHTSA investigation, increase the chance of a crash. The vehicle could also roll away if even if left in Park without the handbrake applied.
That's why Chrysler is calling in 4,194 examples of those three models from the 2013 model year. Dealers will be responsible for inspecting the transmissions and, where necessary, replace the entire unit. See the full recall notice below for all the details.
