2004 Dodge Viper Srt 10 Mamba Edition Convertible Black Red Low Miles Near Mint on 2040-cars
Angola, New York, United States
Looking for a viper? Look no further... forced to sell my VERY RARE and near mint 2004 "Triple Black" (Black exterior, black roof, black & red limited edition mamba interior) Dodge Viper Convertible, Mamba Edition, only 200 made in 2004, even has a plaque attached to the console near the shifter showing the Mamba series number (see photo), true collector car and one of the most sought after Viper models. Almost 100% stock with only a few classy chrome accents added to the inside which simply adds to the look, nice touch (see photos). Car is totally clean, inside and out, VERY low miles, clean car fax, clean title, and runs like a dream. Both the interior and exterior will turn heads, nothing like a polished black Viper convertible to get their attention. Photos just taken 3 days ago, as you can see the car is in superb condition, garage kept under a custom car cover (included!), never rain driven, stored winters. Forced to sell, feel free to contact me with any questions you may have or if you need more photos, I would be more than happy to answer them. I have sold on Ebay before, but never anything this big or expensive, I would rather deal in person if possible, not even sure how to do this otherwise, never dealt with shipping a car before or collecting payments this size, but willing to learn if you really want the car, contact me PRIOR to bidding if you can't personally pick it up.
NOTE: In some of the photos it appears there are leaves or marks on the car, there are NONE. Those are all simply reflections, even the photo of the wheel makes the wheel look like it has leaves, again reflections.. the car and wheels really shine like a mirror, so the photos are deceiving, as I said you need to see it in person to appreciate the condition. OFFERS! I will entertain offers from Buyers who will pick this up in person, but they must be VERY CLOSE to the selling price. I paid WAY more for this car than I am selling it for, and figuring the very low mileage, overall condition and extreme rarity of this model the asking price is very fair. Funny story, just took a drive in it to drop my wife off to pick up her truck at the Mercedes Benz car dealer to pick up her SUV from service, when I dropped her off a couple salesmen came over to look at the car, but the best thing was the owner of the dealership was walking by, he also came over and introduced himself and checked out the car, he offered me close to what I am selling it here for on a trade in towards a new car, the owner and salesmen loved it... gotta love Vipers.. Go American! |

MotorWeek relives '80s coupes with Dodge Daytona, Ford Escort EXP
Thu, Aug 6 2015Get ready for a wave of nostalgia and the rapid realization of the huge progress in performance cars over the last 30 years. For its latest Retro Review, MotorWeek takes a look back at two, front-wheel drive coupes from the '80s that seem to have entirely vanished from the roads today. Both the 1986 Dodge Daytona CS and the 1986.5 Ford Escort EXP were considered affordable, sporty options in their day, but the passage of time hasn't been kind to either of their specs. The Daytona certainly looks the part of a performance machine with a body that's reminiscent of other '80s coupes, like the third-gen Chevrolet Camaro. However with 146 horsepower and 170 pound-feet of torque from a 2.2-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, acceleration wasn't exactly a strong suit. MotorWeek complained about copious torque steer, as well. The optional CS suspension upgrade package on this Daytona was apparently a nod to Carroll Shelby who was working with Dodge at the time. If anything, the Escort EXP withstands the test of time even worse. As a two-seat coupe, you might have expected Ford's engineers to really turn up the performance to fit the sporty image that the exterior conveyed. That didn't really happen, and depending on which model buyers ordered, they got either 86 horsepower with a 1.9-liter engine or the "high-output" version of that mill with 108 hp.
John Schneider's General Lee Dodge Charger up for auction
Thu, Jun 25 2015Over 150 years after it was first adopted, the Confederate flag is disappearing from license plates, state-legislature flagpoles, and even toy cars across the American South. While some are ready to bury those Stars and Bars forever as a symbol of racism and slavery, others will miss them as an emblem of freedom. Regardless of where you stand, the emergence of this particular vehicle on the auction block couldn't have come at a more poignant time. It's a 1969 Dodge Charger, and as you can see it's been done up just like the General Lee from The Dukes of Hazzard. While it may not be one of the cars used in the original television series, it's not without its provenance. The vehicle is the last of four that were customized by John Schneider, the actor who – long after the rebel flag ceases to fly – will forever be remembered for his portrayal of Bo Duke on that timeless television show. It's painted orange, emblazoned with the number 01 on the doors, the words "Bo's General Lee" above each window, and that controversial flag on the roof. It also features signatures and messages inscribed by Schneider, as well as by Sonny Shroyer (who played Deputy Enos Strate on the show), and by sportscaster and former pro basketball player Jalen Rose who once owned the car. It appeared alongside Schneider in commercials and films, and in the pages of the Mopar Collector's Guide. Now it's set to be sold off to the highest bidder this weekend by Invaluable Auctions and Julien's Auctions, where it's expected to fetch between $200,000 and $300,000 – assuming the latest controversies don't hinder its chances.
Dodge not being dropped by Chrysler, CEO reaffirms
Mon, 16 Sep 2013Dodge isn't going anywhere. Despite some rumor and speculation over the future of the crosshair grille and the cars that wear it, Dodge brand boss, Tim Kuniskis, sat down with TheDetroitBureau.com, explaining that the marque isn't going anywhere. His sentiments echo those of SRT boss Ralph Gilles, who told a group of enthusiasts in July that "Dodge is here to stay!"
Dodge's death won't be "a part of a master plan to consolidate brands," Kuniskis told TheDetroitBureau.com. Instead, the brand, which is ultimately under the command of Fiat/Chrysler CEO, Sergio Marchionne, will likely ditch some of its badge-engineered models, like the Dodge Grand Caravan. A more focused Dodge, which was something Gilles has already hinted at, will likely see it exploring areas of the market that haven't been exploited by other Chrysler brands.
Kuniskis, not surprisingly, wasn't willing to delve into any detailed product plans, telling TDB that the size of the brand's lineup "remains to be seen." Regardless of how big the brand actually ends up being (it is presently Chrysler's volume brand - and not by a little), hopefully the statements from Kuniskiss can put the rumors of a Dodge closure to bed.
