2008 Dodge Sprinter 2500 High Top 144" Wb / Diesel on 2040-cars
Norwood, Massachusetts, United States
PLEASE READ ALL THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS VERY CAREFULLY BEFORE BIDDING. THIS IS A 2008 DODGE SPRINTER VAN. IT HAS 110k MILES. IT WAS LEASED TO A PLUMBING CO. SINCE NEW. THIS IS A GREAT WORK VAN FOR SOMEONE THAT IS FAMILIAR WITH THE MECANICAL ISSUES THAT THESE VANS HAVE. OVERALL COSMETICALLY, ON A 1-10 SCALE IT IS ABOUT A 7. IT'S PRESENTABLE, BUT IT'S HAS SOME POOR QUALITY BODYWORK AND PAINT WORK DONE FROM THE BELTLINE DOWN, AND ON THE REAR DOORS. I WAS TOLD IT WAS DONE TO CORRECT SOME RUST BLISTERING, NOT FOR ANY ACCIDENT DAMAGE. IT HAS A SMALL CRACK IN THE PASS. SIDE TAIL LIGHT, AND THE DIRECTIONAL LENS ON THE PASS. SIDE MIRROR IS BROKEN. IT'S FINE FOR USE AS A WORK VAN, BUT IF YOUR LOOKING FOR SOMETHING PRETTY, THIS ISN'T IT. THE INTERIOR IS IN DECENT SHAPE, BUT IT NEEDS A GOOD SCRUB (THE DRIVER WAS A SMOKER). MECHANICALLY, IT RUNS AND DRIVE WELL, BUT IT DOES NEED A COUPLE OF THINGS. THE SRS LIGHT IS ON. IT IS A RESULT OF A LOOSE CONNECTION ON THE DRIVERS SIDE SEAT BELT. IT SHOULD BE FIXED, AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. WHEN THE LIGHT IS ON, THE AIR BAG IS OFF. IT NEEDS A DRIVERS SIDE POWER WINDOW SWITCH. IT HAS A SHORT IN IT, SO IT GOES UP AND DOWN RANDOMLY ON IT'S OWN. IF I GET ENOUGH MONEY FOR IT, I'LL PUT ONE IN BEFORE YOU PICK IT UP. YOU CAN DO IT YOURSELF, BUT IT IS ANNOYING IF YOUR GOING TO DRIVE IT ANY DISTANCE. IT HAS A GLOW PLUG LIGHT FOR THE #4 GLOW PLUG (P0674). IT ALSO HAS A CODE FOR A STUCK INTAKE MANIFOLD RUNNER CONTROL (P2007). IF YOUR NOT A MECHANIC, THEN YOU'LL NEED ONE THAT DOESN'T CHARGE ALOT FOR LABOR. IT'S AN INEXPENSIVE PART (couple of hundred), BUT HARD TO GET AT. IT DOES NOT AFFECT THE WAY IT RUNS, BUT IT'S AN EMISSIONS ISSUE. THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS PERFECT, BUT I CAN FEEL AN OCCASIONAL RUMBLE STRIP NOISE. I CHECKED THE FLUID, IT WAS DOWN A 1/2 QT. IT HAD THE ORIGINAL BLACK LOCK TAB, SO I WAS THE FIRST TO CHECK IT SINCE NEW. (I WOULD SUGGEST A TRANS SERVICE SOONER THAN LATER). I DON'T HAVE ANY SERVICE RECORDS. THE OIL LOOKS LIKE IT SHOULD BE CHANGED. IF YOU BUY IT, AND PLAN ON DRIVING IT ANY MORE THAN A FEW HUNDRED MILES, I'LL BE GLAD TO DO AN OIL CHANGE (with the proper ESP oil). APART FROM THOSE THINGS, IT RUNS STRAIGHT DOWN THE ROAD AT 75 MPH. THE TIRES HAVE ABOUT 80% TREAD DEPTH, AND THE BRAKES FEEL GOOD. THIS IS A VAN WITH MANY MORE MILES LEFT IN IT. IT JUST NEEDS SOMEONE THAT HAS A GOOD WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF MERCEDES SPRINTER VANS. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS AT ALL, PLEASE CALL ME 781-820-3435 (9-6 EST DAYS). IT'S A LOT EASIER TO TALK ABOUT IT ON THE PHONE THAN EMAIL. I WON'T REVEAL MY RESERVE, SO JUST BID TO WHAT YOUR COMFORTABLE PAYING. PLEASE READ ALL THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS BELOW BEFORE BIDDING.
I AM A NEW HAMPSHIRE WHOLESALE DEALER.
THIS VEHICLE IS SOLD AS IS, WHERE IS, IN NEED OF REPAIR. NO WARRANTY EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED.
I REQUIRE A 20% DEPOSIT WITHIN 3 CALENDAR DAYS, AND THE BALANCE WITHIN 10 DAYS.
(PLEASE NOTE: I ALSO REQUIRE AN INITIAL DEPOSIT OF $100. THROUGH PAYPAL. I'VE BEEN TOLD BY EBAY THAT THIS WILL INSURE THAT I'M NOT TIED UP BY FRADULENT BIDDERS. THIS WILL OF COURSE BE APPLIED TO THE PURCHASE PRICE, BUT THE OTHER PAYMENT TERMS STILL APPLY AS WELL...IF FOR SOME REASON YOU CAN'T DO THIS, THEN YOU MUST CALL ME TO DISCUSS IT BEFORE BIDDING)
I WILL ACCEPT CASH, MONEY ORDERS, CASHIERS CHECKS, WIRE TRANSFERS, AND EVEN PERSONAL CHECKS, BUT NOTHING LEAVES HERE UNTIL ALL OF THE FUNDS HAVE CLEARED MY ACCOUNT (NOT JUST POSTED TO IT).
IF YOUR CONCERNED ABOUT SEEING THE VEHICLE BEFORE PAYING FOR IT, THEN PLEASE CONTACT ME BY PHONE TO DISCUSS IT BEFORE YOU BID.
IF YOU ARE NEW TO EBAY, HAVE NO FEEDBACK, OR NEGATIVE FEEDBACK, THEN PLEASE CONTACT ME BEFORE YOU BID. IF YOU DON'T, THEN I WILL BLOCK YOU FROM BIDDING ANY FURTHER UNTIL I HAVE HEARD FROM YOU.
IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS AT ALL, PLEASE CONTACT ME AT 1-781-820-3435 (9-6 EST) OR EMAIL ME. I WILL BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS.
IF YOU BID ON MY ITEM, AND IT HASN'T MET THE RESERVE, THEN FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME ABOUT IT. I DON'T ALLWAYS RELIST.
I WILL NOT REVEAL MY RESERVE, SO PLEASE JUST BID TO WHAT YOUR COMFORTABLE WITH.
THANKS FOR LOOKING, AND GOOD LUCK BIDDING.

Dodge Viper recall requires small-handed mechanics
Fri, 25 Apr 2014It has been over a year since Chrysler first announced its recall of 3,660 2003-2004 Dodge Vipers because the airbag could suddenly deploy. The repairs are finally beginning, and it appears to be a nightmare for mechanics.
According to the automaker's filing with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the airbag control module can fail, which causes the bag or the seatbelt pre-tensioner to deploy without warning. It took over a year to design the new parts, according to The New York Times. However, Chrysler finally has a new "jumper harness with an in-line diode filter circuit" ready to fix the problem.
The dilemma now moves to the mechanics who have to actually install the part. A 47-step guide from Chrysler explains that the procedure should take about two hours. It's not an easy job, though. Most of the dashboard has to be taken apart, and the instructions include this helpful bit of advice: "Installing the jumper harness and filter box into position is not an easy task. Patience, perseverance, and small hands are required." We wish the best of luck to them. The fix comes just in time for the Vipers to enjoy the summer sun.
From Maseratis to rental cars | Autoblog Podcast #511
Fri, Apr 7 2017On this week's podcast, Mike Austin and David Gluckman are in a huddle room (again), because the studio was already taken (again). We talk about the all-wheel-drive Dodge Challenger GT (again), as well as the Jeep Wrangler, Maserati Levante, Miata RF (again), and then David waxes poetic on mediocre rental cars (or similar). The episode wraps up with the traditional doling out of Spend My Money buying advice, with some input from an S2000 owner on advice discussed last time. The rundown is below. Remember, if you have a car-related question you'd like us to answer or you want buying advice of your very own, send a message or a voice memo to podcast at autoblog dot com. (If you record audio of a question with your phone and get it to us, you could hear your very own voice on the podcast. Neat, right?) And if you have other questions or comments, please send those too. Cars.com runs 11-second quarter with Dodge Charger Hellcat
Mon, Jun 1 2015The Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat and its Challenger sibling are two of the heroes of the modern performance world. With a headline-grabbing 707 horsepower from a supercharged 6.2-liter V8, their output even shames many supercars. But how quick can one really cover a quarter mile? Cars.com recently decided to find out by taking a Charger Hellcat to the drag strip to see if the sedan lived up to Dodge's 11-second claims. The results were quite impressive. After 13 quarter-mile runs of adjusting variables like the tire pressures and the car's various electronic aids, the Charger Hellcat managed a pass in 11.03 seconds at 126.61 mph – the pinnacle result of the day. This car was mechanically stock and wore the optional Pirelli P Zero tires. According to Cars.com, other quick sprints reached 11.09 seconds and 11.1 seconds, which even beat the site's 11.41-second best from a Challenger Hellcat last year. Getting the Hellcat's prodigious power down without losing traction was a challenge, even on the summer tires. Cars.com thought it had a run that could have dropped below 11 seconds, but then the wheels spun. Using the factory-recommended pressures, the Charger Hellcat was no still slouch with an 11.27-second time recorded, but taking things down to 25 psi proved the quickest at the strip. We already knew that the Charger Hellcat was a wonderful vehicle for eating up huge gulps of asphalt at high speeds and could verify its 204-mile-per-hour top speed (quite a bit faster, incidentally, than the Ferrari California T's 196 mph top-speed). Apparently, the 11-second quarter-mile claim is just as accurate. Also, for any curious owners, the Cars.com story divulges many of the tweaks required to reach this seriously quick time.
