This 1974 Dodge Sportsman is amazing!  It has belonged to the second owner since 1975.  Before that a Manager or owner of a local Dodge House. So I am told. Since 1991 it has been kept in a garage and under a cover so it only has 63k miles.  When I got it, it was not running.  It needed a new gas tank and lines.  Carb overhaul, tune up, battery, new fluids, muffler and a/c charged (blows cold and really hard with original compressor)  Other than that I believe this to be really close to it's original condition. This vans conversion package consist of a u shaped sofa and table.  Sofa does fold into a bed. If needed the rear area containing table and sofa unbolts and slides out in minutes.  I would replace the tires due to age but see no dryrot on them.   They are a sears special's installed on this van  probably 25 years ago.

The Vans previous owner did a really good job preserving the vans original appearance.  The roof is insulated and does not sag.  There is no rust whatsoever.  There are a few small dings and one small dent.  See pictures I have tried to illustrate these area's.  If you need more picture's, no problem.  Send me an email and I will send as many of whatever you would like to see.
I have a detailed log book from 1975 showing all upkeep and maintenance being done way ahead of time.  In it is the date, mileage and maintenance or repair completed.  Included in this sale will be another bench seat, four duplicate hubcaps, spare tire and cover, two vent windows for rear doors, original documentation and two sets of keys.

I see no problems with this van. everything seems to work as it should.  Really cool and really rare.  I bought this van to use as a backup work van.   Realizing it was way to nice for that I decided  to use as a game day transporter for my sons baseball team. We are now looking for a short bus or shuttle bus and need the money from this sale to proceed with it's purchase.

Because I am not at a computer throughout the day, I will be returning emails later in the day.  I am not a mechanic but will try my best to answer any technical questions.  I have no problem assisting anyone with shipping when I can.  I have bought trucks on ebay so I have an idea of the process. Please, Please do not bid if you have not made arrangements for the payment of this vehicle. There are 10 excited and eager boys who are watching this auction in hopes of a good deal for there next "Player's Lounge".

General Lee Dodge Charger replica jumps Dukes of Hazzard-style in Downtown Detroit

Sun, Feb 26 2017

Ouch. That was our first reaction after we saw the video up above, in which stunt driver Raymond Kohn goes full-on Bo and Luke Duke in a specially prepared Dodge Charger right in the middle of Downtown Detroit. The jump looks good – and, courtesy of the whistling-Dixie horn of the Charger, sounds good, too – until you see the landing. Like we said, ouch. The ramp stood just five feet tall, but since the bright orange '69 Charger was traveling around 55 miles per hour when it launched, the car soared 25 feet in the air over a distance of 134 feet. That's pretty impressive. Apparently, the car was modified to take the brunt of the landing forces at impact to help keep Kohn safe (relatively speaking, of course). The stunt was a promotion for the 65th annual Autorama Show, which is taking place this weekend at the Cobo Center in Detroit. Scroll down to watch a video interview with Kohn that was shot right after the stunt, and stick around till the end to see the automotive carnage close up. This content is hosted by a third party. Race Recap: Rolex 24 at Daytona was fast and feisty

Mon, Jan 26 2015

Let the record show that victory at the 2015 Rolex 24 at Daytona went to the No. 02 Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates Target/Ford EcoBoost Riley DP driven by Verizon IndyCar drivers Scott Dixon and Tony Kanaan and NASCAR drivers Jamie McMurray and Kyle Larson. The winner did 740 laps to cover 2,634.3 miles in 24 hours and 57.667 seconds. That's a statement to this year's pace in spite of 18 cautions, two more than last year: the Michael Shank Racing Ligier got pole with a time of 1:39.194, slower than last year's pole time of 1:38.270; however, the winning car last year only did 695 laps. The fight for top honors was shaved to a four-car battle over the first third of the event. The No. 02 Ganassi car took the lead on the first lap, swapping it well into the night with the No. 01 Ganassi car, the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Corvette DP, and the defending champion No. 5 Action Express Corvette DP, all of them staying within about 20 seconds of one another. The Action Express car had a fuel connector come loose and lost three laps getting towed back to the pits to have it reattached, but was back in the lead 18 hours in. The No. 01 Ganassi car dropped out with recurring clutch problems 22 hours in, retiring not long after. A race-within-the-race is where the concluding action happened, a seven minute, 30-second dash from the end of the last caution to the checkered flag. During the penultimate pit stops with an hour to go, Dixon was in second place followed Jordan Taylor in the Wayne Taylor Racing DP into the pits but beat him out, taking the lead. The Action Express car was in third. In the last pit stops of the race, Dixon gained even more time, getting a four-second advantage over Taylor. Then a full-course caution came out twenty minutes before the finish when a Prototype Challenge car hit the wall and caught fire, bunching up the field. That closed the pits, but the Wayne Taylor Racing car had to pit during that yellow because of a miscalculation of driver time. No driver can be behind the wheel for more than four hours in a six-hour period but Jordan Taylor was going to go over, so he came in to swap out for brother Ricky. That cost the team any chance of second place, since they took an additional drive-through penalty for entering closed pits. When the track went green again, Sebastien Bourdais in the Action Express car stayed all over Dixon for the final five laps but couldn't get around him.

2014 Dodge Dart Blacktop glosses over performance

Tue, 14 Jan 2014

The Dodge Dart is a decent little car. It's honest, basic transportation, and many of us at Autoblog are genuinely fond of the Alfa Romeo-based compact sedan. For 2014, not a whole lot changes in the Dart world, save the addition of this new Blacktop edition that makes its debut here at the Detroit Auto Show.
It's all very simple, this Blacktop package, and doesn't actually alter performance in any way. Instead, buyers are treated to blacked-out exterior bits like 18-inch wheels, the crosshair grille and headlamp bezels. Inside, black/tungsten or black/red cloth seats are available, with red contrast stitching throughout the cabin.
Adding the Blacktop pack to your Dart SXT with the Rallye Appearance Group will set you back a scant $295, and while it's just an appearance package, it all looks pretty nice to us.
