This is a one-owner DODGE RAM 5500 equipped with a Six Speed Manual Transmission that was primarily used to pull a three car wedge trailer. I upgraded to a Freightliner Columbia Truck and no longer need this truck. SMOKE FREE Vehicle, no major dents or dings on the truck, it has a few small rock chips in the paint on the hood and by the bottom of the driver side and passenger side doors and a small scratch near the driver side door handle, the bed has some surface rust which a can of black paint would take care of. Interior is free of rips, tears and stains. OEM floor mats in front and rear.The Transmission, Flywheel, Clutch, Throwout Bearing was Replaced @ 145,680 miles, the Turbo and DPF was replaced @ 116,300 miles. The Alternator and Fan Clutch have also been replaced recently. The truck has a 12ft flatbed with a goose ball hitch which was redone/reinforced before the bed was installed on this truck (it would be possible to mount a Fifth Wheel to the bed) the bed mounts were also redone/reinforced and an Auxiliary 55 Gallon side mounted fuel tank which has a fuel pump that pumps fuel into the 52 gallon rear main tank was added. The GVW Rating on the door is 19,500 pounds. Some of the Features 19.5 tires, Diesel Exhaust Brake, Integrated Trailer Brake Control, Power Driver Seat W/Power Lumbar, Fog Lamps, Full-Size spare tire, and integrated 115 volt inverter, Winter Front Grille Cover. Consumer Reports says these are the worst new cars of 2014
Thu, 27 Feb 2014Consumer Reports has announced its annual list of worst vehicles, a cringe-inducing contrast to its list of top vehicles. Ignominiously leading the way in 2014 is Chrysler, which has a staggering seven models listed.
Jeep nearly sweeps the small SUV segment by itself, with its Compass, Patriot and 2.4-liter version of the new Cherokee, while the only midsize sedans listed by CR were the Chrysler 200 and Dodge Avenger. The new Dodge Dart and the Dodge Journey round out CR's condemnation of Chrysler.
Ford is taking heat as well, with the Taurus, Edge and their counterparts from Lincoln all listed as the worst vehicles in their respective segments. Toyota doesn't fare much better, with its Lexus IS, Scion iQ and tC also making the list.
2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat gets brace of new videos
Wed, 21 May 2014Yesterday's big announcement focusing on the new Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat had plenty of stuff going for it - information, pictures and the rabid enthusiasm that always accompanies such an eagerly anticipated reveal. What it was lacking, though, was a proliferation of videos of the new model.
Sure, yesterday's news came with one clip, but today, Dodge has come through with five videos. We've arranged them in what we think will be the most entertaining order, covering the powertrain, before moving on to exterior and interior design, then on to a full CGI dissection of the SRT Hellcat before capping things off with a piece on the non-supercharged Challenger SRT392.

Dodge Charger Hellcat hitting 60 in 2.9 seconds on drag radials?
Thu, 02 Oct 2014The Dodge boys and their cousins from SRT have shoehorned the same 707-horsepower, 6.2-liter supercharged V8 into both the Dodge Challenger and Charger. The former being a two-door, it's lighter than the latter four-door sedan. So it would stand to reason that the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat would be the quicker of the two, right?
Only that's not necessarily proving to be the case. On stock rubber, yes, the coupe beats the sedan: Dodge quotes a 0-60 time of 3.7 seconds for the Charger SRT Hellcat and 3.5 for the Challenger. Same gap across the quarter-mile: 11 seconds flat for the Charger versus 10.8 seconds for the Challenger. But according to recent reports, the story changes when you put both on drag radials.
While visiting Chrysler HQ in Auburn Hills, MI, TorqueNews.com caught wind of performance figures for the Charger Hellcat on drag tires: 0-60 in a mind-blowing 2.9 seconds and a quarter-mile in just 10.7. The latter figure just barely pips the Hellcat-powered Challenger's NHRA-certified figure of 10.8, making the Charger not only the fastest sedan on the market, but also the fastest muscle car. What isn't immediately clear, however, is whether the drag radials in question have any tread on them and are street-legal, or if they're pure slicks confined to a closed strip.
