I have a 1998 Dodge Ram 3500 Regular cab 2wd 3500. The truck is in excellent shape for the year. The interior is in good shape with no rip in the seat and only a small crack in the dash. THe carpet has a few stains but it is in good shape with a set of weather tech floor mats to protect the floor. Everything works, cruise control, vents change position, heat works great, but the A/C is so/so it does work but doesnt blow really cold probably just needs a recharge, it does have power windows and locks that both work great. It does not have the typical dodge ram rust the truck is solid. It did have at one point a set of nerf bars on it and where they were attached to the truck there is rust but only on the front passenger fender. the cab corners, rockers and everything else is solid. The fenders are not cracked or damaged at all, the truck has minor scratches and a few small dents but nothing you notice. It is the 98 with the 12v cummins in it so it has the desirable interior with the old reliable 12v cummins it backed by a nv4500 5 spd transmission. It has a dana 80 rear end with 3.55 gears and a limited slip in it. The truck has 164k on it and runs great. Over the past few months I have replaced the over flow valve with an adjustable OFV from tork technologies so the fuel pressure is perfect. I replaced the steering gear box with an AC Delco reman and also replaced the pitman arm so the steering is tight. The oil pressure sensor was just replaced. I just changed the oil with rotella. I changed the transmission fluid with amsoil designed specifically for the nv4500. The truck also has a larger replacement open element air filter, and straight pipe exhaust. The pump has a set of 4k governing springs so the truck doesnt defuel at 2200 it has power well over 3500rpm, the pump has been tweaked and tuned with a #10 plate to NOT smoke and have great power. The clutch is in good shape and does not slip. It also has a gooseneck ball in the bed. This truck is in great shape and will make some a nice truck I dont have no use for it. The tires are also in great shape with around 75% tread on them.

Chrysler patents smarter minivan folding seats
Thu, 02 Jan 2014It's frightening to think of how quickly the mice would have overtaken us if we hadn't stayed one step ahead of them with better mousetraps. We'll never have to worry about that in our relentlessly re-engineered world, though. Case in point: Chrysler has been granted a patent by the US Patent and Trademark Office for an improved design of the already wondrous Stow 'n' Go seating found in the automaker's Town and Country and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans.
Introduced in 2005, the Stow 'n' Go was improved in 2008, and based on the drawings of this third-generation improvement, the new design appears to allow stowage of the second row of seats without having to move the front-row seats forward as much. It look like it also involves fewer operations and moving parts, with a portion of the seatback being incorporated into the flat floor when the seats are stowed, as opposed to having a completely separate cover.
It's possible that the innovation may appear on the next-generation minivans expected in 2015, but Chrysler isn't commenting on the patent.
Dodge to reveal Hellcat-powered Challenger in Detroit?
Fri, 10 Jan 2014On top of all the other performance car debuts slated for next week's Detroit Auto Show, we might be able to add one more to the list - the new, supercharged Hellcat V8 from Chrysler. According to new reports, the rumored 640-horsepower mill is likely to cross the Motor City stage in the engine bay of a Dodge Challenger.
As AllPar points out, though, there may be more news than just the fire-breathing engine. While we've seen spy photos of the Hellcat testing under the hood of the current Challenger, there's a very fair chance that it won't arrive until the muscle car is refreshed later this year. The question now is whether that refresh will be shown off alongside the new engine in Detroit, or if it'll be saved, perhaps for the New York Auto Show.
Other details dug up by AllPar include potential transmissions for the supercharged engine - the Mopar-minded site is expecting an eight-speed automatic or a Tremec six-speed manual. Prices, meanwhile, could be in the same elevated range as the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, at $70,000 to $80,000.
25,000 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Dodge Durango SUVs recalled over brake feel
Mon, 10 Mar 2014Chrysler has announced that it is recalling over 25,000 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango SUVs from several markets over concerns about brake feel under hard braking. The affected models are from the 2012 and 2013 model years, although the actual dates of production aren't available. 18,700 are in the US, while 825 are in Canada, 530 are in Mexico and a further 5,200 outside of North America.
According to a statement, Chrysler was informed of the issue by a component supplier for the Ready Alert Braking system, which primes the brakes in anticipation of an emergency stop. A component in the system was restricting the flow of brake fluid too much.
As Chrysler is quick to point out, the way the brakes functioned was in compliance with regulations and there are no reported cases of drivers losing braking power. Instead, the issue rests with what Chrysler calls a pedal feel that "was not consistent with customer expectations." So it would seem Chrysler is being proactive and fixing a problem not because there's a legal issue at work, but simply because it doesn't feel the way the manufacturer wants it to. Well done.
