Up for sale is my 1995 Dodge Ram flatbed. This truck has been used for my company truck for the last year. I really like it but due to a change in registration laws in my state, I need to downsize to a smaller truck.

I bought this truck here on e-bay from a dealer in Nevada and flew out and drove it home. It had a utility bed on it when I bought it and I had the bed changed to put the flatbed on from my old truck which was totaled by a drunk driver while parked in front of my house. Since I've owned this truck, I've done several things to improve it. One was to have heavier springs installed in the rear so it would hold extra weight. After I had the flatbed installed I made new sideboards and painted the bed and sideboards. Sideboards are heavy duty made of 2 by10 boards and 3 in. channel iron uprights. I put 2 new batteries in shortly after I bought it, and a few months later I replaced the crankshaft position sensor, had the AC repaired and fixed some transmission leaks and had a new windshield installed. I also recently had the front brakes replaced and a new pitman arm installed. The radio, AC, Heat, and power windows all work. The overhead compass and thermometer also work The power windows occasionally don't work and you have to tap on the door to get them working again. I think its a loose wire or possible a dirty switch.  The tires are in good shape and still have a lot of miles left on them. Mudgrips on the rear and regular tread on the front. All glass is good with no cracks.

I've recently gotten 21 MPG on one long trip unloaded and on the way home the same trip got 18 MPG with a 4000 LB load.  I've taken several long trips in it this last year, and it hasn't left me stranded anywhere or had any major breakdowns, I personally wouldn't be afraid to get in it and drive it anywhere in the nation. It's very reliable.

There are a few things about the truck that are not perfect but it's in pretty good shape for it's age. It has been re-painted in  the past before my owning it and was originally white. There are a few small dings where the white is showing through.  There are a couple cracks in the dash that are barely noticeable, and there are some stains on the carpet, that don't show because they are covered by the floor mats. The seat is good except for some wear on the drivers side that you can see in the photo. There are 4 holes drilled into the front bumper on both sides that were used to support a pipe rack it had on it that was put on by the previous owner. It is also missing the interior rear view mirror. I'm not aware of any major mechanical problems I have a spare belt and water pump that I will include to the new owner.

The mileage listed is current as of the listing date Oct 19, 2013 and is subject to change as it's still being used. If you want the current mileage before bidding feel free to ask. Buyer is responsible for any transport or shipping. I will help in any way I can but I prefer you make your own arrangements.

Update*  In late November early December 2013 I took this truck on a 3500 mile round trip from Garden City Kansas to Jacksonville Florida. My average fuel mileage for the trip was slightly over 18 MPG. On the return home I was hauling around 3500 LBS. As stated above, the mileage will be changing as it is still being driven. The autocheck report is showing 2 problems, one being a duplicate title. This must have happened before my owning it. All I know is that i did not have any problem getting a title issued in my name. The other problem is because the title is stating "mileage exceeding the mechanical limits" I don't know why this is showing as an issue. What do they consider as the mechanical limits?

Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat ringtone revs up [w/video]

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

The best (or worst, depending on your views) thing about smartphones is that you're able to carry lots, and lots of useful stuff around in your pocket. That means you can always have a phone, messaging service, email, flashlight, calculator, dictionary, encyclopedia, and literally thousands of other things on your person at all times. Now, we can add one more thing for you to carry about in your little slab of aluminum, glass and plastic - a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.
Now, you obviously can't carry around a 707-horsepower muscle car around in your pocket. That'd be ridiculous, impractical and uncomfortable. You can, however, carry around the noise made by said muscle car's 6.2-liter, supercharged Hemi V8, thanks to a new, free-to-download ringtone from the folks at Dodge and SRT.
We can't embed the ringtone here, so if you'd like to hear exactly how it'll sound when your phone goes off, you'll need to head over to the SRT Hellcat's page. If that's more trouble than it's worth, the same ringtone was attached to a tiny speaker on the press kit for the mighty Challenger, and was captured on video by our own Seyth Miersma (don't worry, he's already been soundly dressed down for shooting a video in portrait mode).

2014 Dodge Durango bows with eight-speed auto, updated looks [w/video]

Thu, 28 Mar 2013

Dodge has significantly updated its full-size Durango for the 2014 model year, giving the seven-passenger hauler a fresh look and a well-rounded boost of competitive features as it enters its fourth year in the showroom.
Cosmetically, it is hard to miss the revised front end with projector-beam headlamps and LED daytime running lamps, "floating" crosshair grille, a taller front bumper and a new lower fascia. The rear end of the facelifted Durango has been redesigned with the automaker's now-signature LED "racetrack" taillamps and resculpted rear fascia. All of the wheels are new too, with 18- and 20-inch options for each trim level with a variety of factory finishes.
Inside the cabin, buyers can select the automaker's latest Uconnect infotainment system with a full suite of infotainment features and connectivity accessed through an 8.4-inch touchscreen. Other optional goodies include a heated steering wheel, heated second-row seating and a Blu-Ray player capable of running unique programs on the twin individual rear monitors.

Chrysler killing off the 200 Convertible, Dodge Avenger

Sun, 23 Feb 2014

When Chrysler rolled out the first-generation 200 to replace the Sebring range in 2010, it included replacements for both the sedan and the convertible. The Sebring Coupe, however, was left out of the mix. And now that the second-generation Chrysler 200 is descending upon us, Auburn Hills is paring things down even further. But this time, it's the convertible that reportedly isn't making the cut. Shame, too, since the rendering above shows what could have been quite an attractive droptop.
As our compatriots at Edmunds point out, sales of the convertible model accounted for less than five percent of overall Chrysler 200 sales, and at those numbers, the considerable cost of engineering a new drop-top couldn't be justified. With the Toyota Camry Solara and Volkswagen Eos also gone from the market (well, the VW isn't gone quite yet), the discontinuation of the Chrysler 200 Convertible leaves the affordable convertible segment largely to the sportier likes of the Ford Mustang and Chevy Camaro and smaller European offerings like the Mini Cooper and VW Beetle.
The Chrysler 200 Convertible isn't the only derivative being left behind with the new model: so too is the Dodge Avenger. That will leave a glaring hole in the Dodge lineup, with nothing to bridge the gap between the compact Dart and the larger Charger. Whether the Dodge brand has any plans to replace the Avenger with another model, not to be based on the 200, remains to be seen.
