1992 Dodge Cummins Diesel W350 1-ton 4WD Extended Cab LE. Power windows, locks, tilt, Reese hitch, sliding rear window, and bedliner. 3:54 gear ratio, 270K miles. 50+ hp PD injectors, BHAF, power screw turned up, muffler delete, engine runs strong. Automatic-overdrive trans is a fresh rebuild with a new converter. This truck has had a detailed cosmetic and mechanical restoration in preparation for a 4000 mile round trip I took in it this summer. It involved a complete rebuild on the brake system including the vacuum booster and master cyl, new front rotors, calipers and brake pads, wheel bearings were packed and the front diff had a complete flush and oil change. Tie rod ends are new and the front springs have been re-arched with new bushings. The rear diff has new drums, brake shoes, wheel cylinders, wheel bearings, new gear oil. The rear drive line has all new u-joints. Tires were replaced this year and have approximately 7000 miles on them. It has new shock absorbers all around, the 4WD works perfectly and the transfer case has new oil also. The air conditioning system has been upgraded to 134a, and a new compressor, drier and fan clutch and belt were installed at that time. I also installed aftermarket oil pressure, temp and charging system gauges in addition to the factory gauges which are still functional.
It has new carpet and a Dodge 2cnd generation bucket seat system with console. The truck was painted this year to correct the faded paint and peeling clear coat and RHINO-Liner was sprayed on the lower rocker panels to prevent rock damage. It has not been wrecked and is a solid Southwestern truck with no rust anywhere, anytime. This truck drives great and runs great, the only thing not functioning is the cruise control and the digital display on the stock radio (radio works fine) and its got one rock chip in the windshield. It’s got plenty of power to pull a livestock trailer out of a muddy pasture, take a Bobcat to a job site, push a snowplow or pull your camper on a hunting trip. If you have any questions call me at 602-FIVE FIVE ZERO 3 0 8 0. If you would like to fly in I can pick you up at the airport, no problem. Cash is preferred. I’m glad to work with anybody but funds must be secure before the truck leaves. I have many more pictures of the truck posted online. Email me for the link since ebay wont allow me to post the link here. Thanks and I look forward to working with you. The truck is for sale locally so the auction may end early. |

2014 Dodge Durango Ron Burgundy ads already have 2.7M views [w/videos]
Mon, 14 Oct 2013The guy who once made the Dodge Stratus a punchline of sorts is now a spokesman for the 2014 Dodge Durango, and the move appears to be paying off handsomely for Dodge. Will Ferrell, acting as 1970s-era TV news personality Ron Burgundy, has teamed up with the automaker for co-branded advertisements between the refreshed 2014 Durango and Ferrell's new movie, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues. Like Ferrell's fictional character, the ads are outrageous, flamboyant and a bit random. They're also successful: Automotive News says that more than 2.7 million people have already watched the videos since they debuted on October 5.
Those views are similar to the numbers that AN's top viral video of the year (e.g. Volkswagen's "Get Happy" Super Bowl ad) received, but there will eventually be as many as 70 videos comprising the Burgundy-Durango spots. According to the report, the videos were created primarily as a viral campaign online, although some are airing on television, too. For Dodge's part, the cost of the videos was significantly lower than a usual television campaign thanks to the fact that Ferrell wasn't paid for the spots since they were made in cooperation with promotional efforts for his new movie.
We've already posted a few of the videos in our previous post, but scroll down for several more - and head over to Adweek for a little added background on how these spots came to be.
Autoblog's Editors' Picks: Our complete list of the best new vehicles
Mon, May 13 2024It's not easy to earn an “EditorsÂ’ Picks” at Autoblog as part of the rating and review process that every new vehicle goes through. Our editors have been at it a long time, which means weÂ’ve driven and reviewed virtually every new car you can go buy on the dealer lot. There are disagreements, of course, and all vehicles have their strengths and weaknesses, but this list features what we think are the best new vehicles chosen by Autoblog editors. We started this formal review process back in 2018, so there's quite of few of them now. So what does it mean to be an EditorsÂ’ Pick? In short, it means itÂ’s a car that we can highly recommend purchasing. There may be one, multiple, or even zero vehicles in any given segment that we give the green light to. What really matters is that itÂ’s a vehicle that weÂ’d tell a friend or family member to go buy if theyÂ’re considering it, because itÂ’s a very good car. The best way to use this list is is with the navigation links below. Click on a segment, and you'll quickly arrive at the top rated pickup truck or SUV, for example. Use the back button to return to these links and search in another segment, like sedans. If youÂ’ve been keeping up with our monthly series of the latest vehicles to earn EditorsÂ’ Pick status, youÂ’re likely going to be familiar with this list already. If not, welcome to the complete list that weÂ’ll be keeping updated as vehicles enter (and others perhaps exit) the good graces of our editorial team. We rate a new car — giving it a numerical score out of 10 — every time thereÂ’s a significant refresh or if it happens to be an all-new model. Any given vehicle may be impressive on a first drive, but we wait until itÂ’s in the hands of our editors to put it through the same type of testing as every other vehicle that rolls through our test fleet before giving it the EditorsÂ’ Pick badge. This ensures consistency and allows more voices to be heard on each individual model. And just so you donÂ’t think weÂ’ve skipped trims or variants of a model, we hand out the EditorsÂ’ Pick based on the overarching model to keep things consistent. So, when you read that the 3 Series is an EditorsÂ’ Pick, yes, that includes the 330i to the M3 and all the variants in between. If thereÂ’s a particular version of that car we vehemently disagree with, we make sure to call that out.
Dodge pulls New Girl and The Office stars for new Dart spots
Wed, 06 Aug 2014Dodge is hoping that a heavy dash of humor helps it move some more units of the Dart with a hilarious ad campaign called Don't Touch My Dart. The spots star actors Craig Robinson, best known for his role as Darryl on The Office, and Jake Johnson from New Girl as neighbors and friends playing a game of one-upmanship over Robinson's new car. Johnson is envious of the ride and just wants to touch it.
The ads are pretty funny if you're a fan of somewhat absurdist humor, and Robinson has just the right amount of over-the-top seriousness to really make the commercials work. They have kind of a Roadrunner and Wile E. Coyote vibe with Johnson constantly in inept pursuit of what he wants, but he clearly isn't getting it.
The first four spots in the campaign are already online, but according to Dodge this is just the beginning. The company says that it's planning about 24 different versions of these ads in various lengths to play on TV and online. You can check out the ads titled First Scratch, Birdhouse Police Garage Door and Voice Touching below, along with the brand's release about the new ads. There's also a pretty good gag on its YouTube page with Robinson protecting his Dart.
