Selling our 2003 Dodge Ram with the 5.9 Cummins High Output engine. This truck has the 48re transmission with the 305hp / 555ft-lbs TQ. I've personally owned this vehicle for a little over 2 years now and its been my daily driver as well as my heavy hauler. 95% of the miles on the truck are light duty unloaded daily driver miles, while the other 5% are pulling a 12k lb trailer. I have serviced the engine, transmission, brakes, and rear end regularly. The transmission got it's band adjustments along with a fluid exchange about 8,000 miles ago. The previous owner had kept an extensive service records and receipts and they are available for whoever is interested in buying this truck. This used truck is not perfect, but I will highlight the good and the bad below. I have 100% positive feedback here and have sold many vehicles and other things on eBay in the past. Bid with confidence and feel free to ask questions.
The Good:
1. Engine runs great - no smoke, leaks, serviced regularly, valves adjusted, runs flawlessly, never chipped!
2. Transmission shifts flawlessly - Fluid exchange, band adjustments, serviced properly and regularly, no leaks
3. Steering / front end - Very tight front end....Ball joints, tie-rods ends, and rack 'n' pinion all in great condition. Great steering feel!
4. Brakes - front brakes just replaced...rotors turned and new brake pads, flushed brake fluid, rear brakes have 80% pad left.....no squealing, pulsating, or pulling to either side.
5. Interior - No rips, stains, never smoked in. Dash is cracked, other than that, interior is in great shape.
6. Exterior - 7 out of 10. No large body damage, however, the body has the typical rock chips and some scratches here in there, but nothing major at all. Great looking truck!
7. Bed - Short Bed with spray in bedliner, no goose neck hitch or 5th wheel ever installed.
9. Tires - 75% tread left on Michelin ATX "E" rated tires
10. Gets 18-19mpg mixed driving, 20-22mpg hwy, 11-13mpg towing a 30ft enclosed trailer 12,000lbs @ 70mph
11. I installed an autometer trans temp gauge on a single A-Pillar pod to keep an eye on the trans temps...When pulling I have never seen anything over 190*.
The Bad:
1. Door power locks stopped working in 3 of 4 doors. Driver front door is only door that pwr door locks/keyless works
2. Heat/A/C vents don't change with selector knob. It seems to be stuck on the front vents / floor vents. Heat and A/C work great, just the selector doesnt seem to work.
3. Dash is badly cracked. Common for Dodge Trucks. However, there is a nice $50 custom fitted microsuede dash cover that I recently put on the dash...It does look really nice.

Does the future of Fiat-Chrysler include Dodge?
Thu, 13 Jun 2013Wards Auto reports the future of Dodge is looking uncertain. Fiat has more or less laid out it's game plan for the next few years, and while the Chrysler, Fiat and Jeep lines are set to receive plenty of love, Dodge isn't so lucky. Fiat has already hobbled Dodge significantly by splitting off the brand's trucks into a separate Ram line.
Wards says that after the Avenger rides off into the sunset early next year, Fiat-Chrysler won't replace the model, leaving a gaping midsize hole in the Dodge lineup. The report also cites unnamed sources as saying that at least two other current Dodge products will move to the Chrysler line.
One of those could very well be the Grand Caravan. Chrysler has already made it clear that it plans to trim redundancy between its minivan offerings, but it has yet to clarify which other vehicle could sail under the Chrysler banner moving forward. Either way, such changes to the product line would theoretically leave Dodge with just four models.
Dodge Journey gets new $24,895* SE V6 AWD model
Wed, 12 Mar 2014While the Dodge Journey crossover remains largely unchanged for the 2014 model year, there are two new flavors of the seven-passenger CUV on offer: the butch-looking Crossroad, and the SE V6 AWD, pictured right, which makes its debut today. As its name suggests, this new Journey model features the automaker's 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, and offers all-wheel drive, which, with a starting price of $24,895 (*excluding $995 for destination), reduces the cost-of-entry for an AWD-equipped Journey by $1,800 versus the SXT AWD model. Scroll down for the official press blast.
2014 Dodge Journey Crossroad
Thu, 17 Jul 2014Watchers of the auto industry will notice a theme among the formerly bankrupted American automakers, General Motors and Chrysler. There are the post-bankruptcy vehicles, and the pre-bankruptcy vehicles. The former, in the case of Chrysler, include the Jeep Grand Cherokee, as well as the 200 and 300. For GM, there's the Cadillac ATS, Chevrolet Impala and Buick Encore, among others. These vehicles have the freshest styling, with sharp exteriors and well-crafted interiors, as well as advanced powertrains and well-sorted chassis.
As for the pre-bankruptcy vehicles, they tend to be easy to spot. Most suffer from inferior driving dynamics, cheaper interiors, poorer fuel economy and often homely looks (we know, there were some decent cars before the bankruptcy, but they were pretty heavily outweighed by the bad ones). Think late, last-generation Chevrolet Impala or Chrysler 200. Increasingly, though, we're seeing vehicles that split the balance between pre- and post-bankruptcy. Vehicles like the Dodge Journey.
The Journey debuted in 2007 as a 2008 model year vehicle, meaning it should fall into the latter category. But heavily breathed upon in 2011, it now enjoys a new, 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, a big, critically acclaimed touchscreen display and in the case of today's tester, a new-for-2014 Crossroad spec.
