I am the second owner of this 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 Power Wagon, and purchased it last year in flawless factory original condition.  It has never left the dry high desert of New Mexico.  It has only 40,109 original miles, no hard use, clean and clear title, clean Carfax, and no accidents or incidents of any kind.  When purchased it already had the ARE paint-matched camper shell, trailer brake controller, and dash mat installed; I added Carr side bars and Super Hoop side steps as well as a full bed carpeting by BedRug to complete my vision of the perfect truck.  Having just purchased a new house, I have to let my prized truck go to a new owner.  The truck comes with two sets of keys for everything, the vehicle keys have a remote start function, and an immobilizer is installed on this truck.  The hitch shown in the pictures is NOT included in this sale.  To clear the title of any loans, it is now held by Grants Auto Sales, a licensed and bonded New Mexico car dealer.  There are a couple minor paint blemishes, they are photographed in high detail at the end of this listing.

The Power Wagon is a special edition off-road version of the Dodge Ram 2500, only offered with the 5.7L Hemi V8 and four wheel drive.  This truck is the standard cab, long bed version: a rarity since most Power Wagons are crew cabs and the standard cab was discontinued in 2010.  In addition to the features offered on the 3/4 ton Dodge Ram the Power Wagon includes:
  • Electronically controlled locking differentials (front and rear)
  • Electronically disconnecting front sway bar
  • Integrated 12,000 lb electric Warn winch
  • 17 inch diameter Alcoa forged wheels
  • Large 33 inch diameter BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A 285/70R17 tires
  • Bilstein Monotube Gas Charged Shocks
  • Extensive skidplating: front stabilizer bar, transfer case, fuel tank, special skid plate crossmembers welded to the frame with open bars bolted to them across the midsection.
  • 2.4" factory lift in front, 2.0" in rear (additional 0.4" front and rear due to larger tires). Softer rate springs.
  • strengthened torque converter
  • 4.56:1 axle ratios
  • Revised clutch fan
  • Strengthened steering gear
  • Low range throttle mapping changed.
  • Clearance Lights
  • Tow hooks
  • Fender Flares
  • 545RFE 5-Speed Automatic Transmission
  • New Venture 271 Transfer Case with 2.72:1 low range, manually shifted
  • AAM 9.25 Front Axle, AAM 10.5 Rear Axle with AAM 11.5 Axle Shafts.  Rear differential is a helical-type limited slip when not locked.

Watch dual-engined Dodge SRT4 do a FWD burnout, a RWD burnout, then AWD launch

Wed, Dec 3 2014

There's something fantastically insane about racers who go out on their own and build something unique. Just take this crazy video from last year of a twin-engine Dodge SRT4 at a drag strip that can burn the rubber at either end – or both ends – at a moment's notice. With tires sticking out way past the fenders, a massive cooling system at the front and no back window to speak of, this Dodge is clearly meant solely for speed. Though it's real party trick is being able to spin the front or rear wheels independently. The setup makes for three quite showy burnouts. When it came time to actually get down the track, things got somewhat awkward. Like other twin-engine creations we've seen, the separate powertrains make for some odd sounds and a weird look launching down the strip. Still, there's no doubt that the engineering behind this Frankenstein is very impressive. Scroll down to see this monster in action and another of it in a very mismatched race last year. Dodge performance trio thrashed on Roadkill

Tue, Apr 14 2015

Of all the shows that Motor Trend does, Roadkill is probably the last one we'd pick to evaluate the latest performance automobiles. That's not a slight against David Freiburger or Mike Finnegan, who host the show: they're certified gear-heads and the go-to guys when it comes to hot rods, rat rods and anything grungier than it is shiny. But as exemplary as they are of Detroit muscle, the Charger Hellcat, Challenger Hellcat and Viper are also shiny new pieces of metal. Still, since it will now be sponsoring the show, someone at Dodge apparently thought it would be a good idea to hand Freiburger and Finnegan the keys to the company's top performance models. So to ring the best out of them, they solicited help from some of their colleagues at MT, gained access to a closed-down air strip, devised as many ways as they could to destroy the tires, and proceeded to set about doing exactly that. Watch the grin-inducing mayhem unfold in the half-hour clip above. Related Video:

Dodge recalls 27k Darts for bracket that can disrupt transmission module

Thu, Sep 17 2015

Dodge is recalling 27,520 examples of the 2013-2015 Dart with dual-clutch gearboxes. The mounting bracket for the transmission control module can affect the part's operation and cause the compacts to suddenly shift into neutral. According to the automaker, 23,688 of them are in the US, 3,376 in Canada, 5 in Mexico, and 451 elsewhere. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports these examples carry build dates between February 24, 2012, and June 16, 2015. There are also no reports of accidents or injuries. Because of the way the bracket is mounted, the part can put too much force on the control module's circuit board and cause it to shift out of gear. The engine and airbags remain operable if this happens. To fix things, dealers will install a redesigned mount and replacement module. Related Video: Statement: Mounting Bracket September 14, 2015 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - FCA US LLC is recalling an estimated 23,688 cars in the U.S. to replace certain control modules and mounting brackets that may contribute to a loss of motive power. The Company is unaware of any related injuries or accidents. An FCA US investigation prompted by a small number of warranty claims discovered a control-module mounting bracket may apply too much force and disrupt the function of a circuit board within the module. This condition, unique to certain cars equipped with dual dry-clutch transmissions (DDCT), may cause the transmission to shift into neutral. However, the engine remains on and the vehicle's air-bags, as well as other safety features, are unaffected. The condition may also be preceded by the illumination of a dashboard warning light. Customers who observe this are urged to contact their dealers. The campaign is limited to certain 2013-2015 Dodge Darts equipped with DDCTs. Additional vehicles will be recalled in Canada (3,376), Mexico (five) and outside the NAFTA region (451). Affected customers will be advised when they may schedule service, which will be performed free of charge. Service will entail installation of a redesigned mounting bracket and replacement of the control module. Customers with additional questions may call the FCA US Customer Information Center at 1-800-853-1403.
