Up for auction is my 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 cummins.  I bought this truck brand new, sold it after about 4 years, and then bought it back 2 years ago.  Now I am considering selling it because 4 kids don't fit comfortably in it and I already have a 93 cummins that is my farm truck, so I don't really get to use it as much. I have never had any problems with it, other that within 6 months of buying it the fuel pump in tank went out and had to be replaced. It has 130,100 miles on it, but that may change before end of auction.  It is a 6 speed with a 4:10 rearend.  It is 4 wheel drive and it works, everything works...  I took pictures of it how it is, i'm not going to wax and detail it to trick anybody.  It is a truck and I have used it as a truck. I drove it in snow, on gravel roads, through fields.  I did not tear it up, but i used it how it was meant to be used. It has dents and dings.  It was repainted about 5 years ago and doors replaced d/t signs of rust along bottom of doors.  As far as rust now, there is a few spots coming though on quad doors, center of tailgate, left rear fender has bubble, and right front quarter panel with bubble spot (please see pics, but hard to see with it being red.)  There are no rips in any of seats, interior is very clean.  There are 2 racks in dash, that you prob couldnt see unless i showed you.  I tried to paint the instrument bezel cover but didnt do a very good job and it has one crack in it.  It has a kenwood head unit, its a higher end one, you can get xm and all that stuff if you want on it, but i never hooked it up.  It has the trailer break hookup.  The sunglasses thing snap thing is broke so it wont snap shut.  I have husky floormats it, the weatherproof ones.  Before i forget,  Last winter in a snow storm a chevy cavalier wanted to play chicken, so there is a dent and paint peel in front left fender that I never fixed, had grille guard on it so no other damage, so built new bumper because people are nuts and i have kids.  I was offered $16,000 trade in, and that was letting me take it home and remove all the aftermarket parts, but I'm to lazy to do all that.  This really is a great truck and super reliable, like I said, just no room, i'm sick of shifting, and I never liked having a shortbed. It is a H.O. (high output) motor.  I was going to bed liner spray the lower half of truck to stop any chance of rusting and actually have the stuff to do it, color matches bumper, if you would like it.  Feel free to ask any questions, and if you seriously want to talk, I can give you my phone number.  Please only bid if you are financially able. Buyer responsible for shipping, will not accept personal check, unless you want to wait for it to clear before you take truck, cash preferred.  Must pick up truck within one week of end of auction.  No warranty and sold as is.  Will add info as i think of it.  Would not let me put all pics on I wanted , so please get ahold of me if you want specific pictures. I would guess I have a little over $60,000 in this truck (was $38,000 new) but don't expect to get near that out of it, but it really is a nice truck. Again, please feel free to ask any questions.  Listing it locally, reserve right to end if sold before end of auction.

Custom made 3/16 in front bumper sprayed with bed liner.
Matching bedliner in bed x3, 3 coats, almost 1/4 in think.
Gooseneck Ball in bed (screw in removable)
3 different trailer hookups
moved block heater to rear of truck.
4 PIAA fog lights in bumper, not hooked up (will provide wiring)
12,000 lb winch in bumper, not hooked up (will provide all needed stuff)
Special order (non functioning) ram air hood. (it can be set up as functional, but i never did)
2 inch leveling kit in front (full coil, not the plastic adaptor)
Bilstein shocks.
MBRP exhaust turbo back
Aftermarket projection headlights
Aftermarket taillights and third brake light.
I have the airbag things for the back too, not on truck and used, but you can have them.
Actually, I will throw all the extra stuff i have for truck in it before it goes because I don't plan on having another 2nd gen (because of kids), have some headlights, stock intake, etc.. no turbo or anything, but what i have you can have.

Say goodbye to the Dodge Dart and Chrysler 200

Wed, Jan 27 2016

Fiat-Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne outlined an update to the company's five-year business plan Wednesday, and among the changes, the Dodge Dart and Chrysler 200 sedans will soon be phased out. The company's presentation to investors states that the "market shift from cars to trucks and UVs [utility vehicles is] now seen as permanent shift in demand," and FCA wants to respond as quickly as possible. Killing the 200 and Dart will allow FCA to build more Jeep and Ram models at the Sterling Heights, MI, and Belvidere, IL, plants where the sedans were produced. We already knew FCA was planning to shift 200 and Dart production to Mexico, to free up the Sterling Heights facility for Ram 1500 production, and the Belivdere site for Jeep Cherokee output. The Cherokee will move from its current home in Toledo, OH, to allow for increased Wrangler production. It's no shock that FCA wants to shift its focus to crossovers and trucks. In December 2015, for example, combined sales of the Dodge Dart and Chrysler 200 were 15,310. The Jeep Cherokee, which uses the same platform as the Dart and 200, outsold both models combined, with 24,049 sales. Both the Dart and 200 had troubles from the beginning. Marchionne recently blamed designers for the 200 not receiving a Consumer Reports 'recommended' rating, and the Dart was one of the lowest-scoring cars in a CR reliability study. Stellantis invests more than $100 million in California lithium project

Thu, Aug 17 2023

Stellantis said it would invest more than $100 million in California's Controlled Thermal Resources, its latest bet on the direct lithium extraction (DLE) sector amid the global hunt for new sources of the electric vehicle battery metal. The investment by the Chrysler and Jeep parent announced on Thursday comes as the green energy transition and U.S. Inflation Reduction Act have fueled concerns that supplies of lithium and other materials may fall short of strong demand forecasts. DLE technologies vary, but each aims to mechanically filter lithium from salty brine deposits and thus avoid the need for open pit mines or large evaporation ponds, the two most common but environmentally challenging ways to extract the battery metal. Stellantis, which has said half of its fleet will be electric by 2030, also agreed to nearly triple the amount of lithium it will buy from Controlled Thermal, boosting a previous order to 65,000 metric tons annually for at least 10 years, starting in 2027. "This is a significant investment and goes a long way toward developing this key project," Controlled Thermal CEO Rod Colwell said in an interview. The company plans to spend more than $1 billion to separate lithium from superhot geothermal brines extracted from beneath California's Salton Sea after flashing steam off those brines to spin turbines that will produce electricity starting next year. That renewable power is expected to cut the amount of carbon emitted during lithium production. Rival Berkshire Hathaway has struggled to produce lithium from the same area given large concentrations of silica in the brine that can form glass when cooled, clogging pipes. Colwell said a $65 million facility recently installed by Controlled Thermal can remove that silica and other unwanted metals. DLE equipment licensed from Koch Industries would then remove the lithium. "We're very happy with the equipment," he said. "We're going to deliver. There's just no doubt about it." Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares called the Controlled Thermal partnership "an important step in our care for our customers and our planet as we work to provide clean, safe and affordable mobility." Both companies declined to provide the specific investment amount. Controlled Thermal aims to obtain final permits by October and start construction of a commercial lithium plant soon thereafter, Colwell said. Goldman Sachs is leading the search for additional debt and equity financing, he added.

Dodge Dart Registry helps you crowdsource money for your next ride [w/video]

Wed, 23 Jan 2013

To be honest, we're surprised something like this didn't pop up sooner. Chrysler is riffing on gift registries for couples getting married or expecting babies and cross-pollinating it with a social media funding website like Kickstarter to help customers buy its 2013 Dodge Dart. The Dodge Dart Registry allows people to build and customize a new Dart exactly how they want it, then let other people purchase some or all of the components as gifts.
The registry lets you add features like dark headlights, dual exhaust, various wheels and even interior options without choosing a specific trim level. This sounds a lot like the system Scion uses to let its customers configure cars, and this could be a great idea for Dodge. Of course, this system has the added benefit of being a social media affair for you to share with your friends... you know, so they can help pay for some of the parts, too.
The best thing about the registry is that you can configure your dream Dart from the comfort of your home computer, which strikes us as much better than walking around Bed, Bath and Beyond for the better part of an afternoon with an electronic scanner. The one thing that Dodge doesn't offer? "Thank You" cards. Those are on you.
