2001 Dodge Ram 2500 Quad Cab / Long (8 FT.) Bed Pick-Up.

2 WHEEL DRIVE.

360 5.9L V8 Engine, automatic transmission, 4.10 gearing.
141,200 miles (mileage may vary slightly).

I bought this truck a few months ago from a county here in Michigan where it was used for a parks department. I am the 2nd owner of the truck.

It has hand crank windows, manual seats, locks & mirrors, rubber floor, vinyl seats. No cruise control.
The dash is NOT cracked. Headliner has minimal damage.

All the glass is good, no cracks in the windshield. All 4 doors open but sometimes it takes more effort than usual for the right rear quad cab door to open...& right now its' stuck shut.

The truck has damage on the left rear 1/4 panel, rear, & right side. These are probably the worst spots as far as body damage.
It has the usual rust on the front door bottoms & some in the rear wheelwells. Front bumper is also dented.

There are a few problems with the truck: A/C comes on but the air isn't cold (might just need freon added?). Seats are damaged & were 'repaired' (taped) by the previous owner. One of the door speakers isn't working.
The truck pulls to the right a bit; not sure if it's just an alignment problem/tierod, etc. I never had it looked at.
Check Engine light comes on every now & then.
Transmission buzzes in reverse...but ONLY when it's cold. It still goes in & out of reverse fine.

All this said, I've driven the truck around locally on back roads, a few miles on the freeway going 70-75mph. I park it in the same place & there are no puddles from anything leaking. It starts right up on the first try & always has as long as I've owned it.
Oil pressure is good, no overheating, etc.

Tires are fair...about 60% tread I'd guess. Right rear is more worn...I'd say it's about 25%.

Clear (green) Michigan title will be available to the winning bidder.

Truck is sold AS-IS with no warranty expressed or implied. $200.00 deposit via paypal is due within 72 hours of auction close.
Remaining balance is due in U.S. currency upon pick-up or via paypal. Must be picked up within (10) business days of auction close.
Located in Allenton, MI, 48002....about an hour north of Detroit.

Due to the problems I've had with new(er) "members", I will not accept bids from anyone with a feedback of 5 or less unless you email me first.

2015 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack

Fri, 24 Oct 2014

We all knew That Kid. As a freshman, he was a big kid, overweight but surprisingly strong. Still, he was often picked on for his size. Then, he chatted with the football coach, who convinced him that his true calling was on the team's offensive line. After a season on the freshman squad and a summer of two-a-days, this mild-mannered, husky high schooler returned for his sophomore year as a big, imposing, solid piece of muscle. Needless to say, the same bullies that picked on him were praying he'd forgotten about them as a 10th grader.
That's the V8-powered 2015 Dodge Challenger. It arrived on the scene with a max of 425 horsepower and a bit of a weight problem. It completed its proverbial freshman year with a nice 2011 refresh, where the SRT8 was bumped up to 470 hp, but it still had some work to do.
Enter 2015, and fresh off three months of constant burpees and wind sprints, the newest Challenger is as big and powerful as it's ever been, but it's now got poise and potential, and my goodness, it's fun in a way that Dodge's muscle car has never been.

Chrysler readying Hellcat V8 with Viper-like power

Tue, 21 May 2013

A monstrous supercharged V8 engine could be in store for Chrysler and SRT products, if recent rumors are to be believed. Allpar is reporting that the forced-induction V8 - Chrysler's first, if this goes down - could make its debut this summer.
The story goes that the Hellcat would be based on a 6.2-liter Hemi engine, rather than on the existing 5.7- or 6.4-liter versions of the company's vaunted mill. In any case, the general consensus is that the motor will have gobs of power. Modest estimates call for between 500 to 570 horsepower, with some outliers predicting a figure as high as 600 hp. That figure would put the output would place the Hellcat awfully close to that of the 640-hp V10 in the SRT Viper, too. Allpar contends that a slightly lower powered version would allow Chrysler to keep costs below that of the more powerful Ford Shelby GT500, which might be a sweet spot.
The Hellcat could debut in a number of SRT products. SRT versions of the Charger, Challenger and 300 are all up for grabs, as is the rumored SRT Barracuda.

Legacy Classic Power Wagon First Drive

Wed, Oct 7 2015

Shortly before the US entered World War II, Dodge supplied the military with a line of pickups internally codenamed WC, those letters designating the year 1941 and the half-ton payload rating. From 1941 to 1945 Dodge built more than a quarter million of them, and even though "WC" came to refer to the Weapons Carrier body style, the WC range served in 38 different configurations from pickup trucks to ambulances to six-wheeled personnel and weapons haulers. The story is that soldiers returning from active duty badgered Dodge for a civilian version of that indefatigable warhorse, so Dodge responded with the Power Wagon in 1946. Even for those no-nonsense times the truck was so austere that the first three names Dodge gave it were "Farm Utility Truck," "WDX General Purpose Truck," and "General Purpose, One Ton Truck." "Power Wagon" was the fourth choice, not finalized until just before it went on sale. Nothing like today's Power Wagon, the original could be seen as either a glorified tractor or a slightly less uncouth military vehicle – hell-for-leather meant going 50 miles per hour. But it would go nearly anywhere. The civilian version was still built like it had to survive, well, a world war; power take-offs (PTOs) ran all manner of ancillaries; multiplicative gear ratios helped it produce enough torque to make an earthquake envious. Said to be the first civilian 4x4 truck made in America, any organization that needed a simple, sturdy mechanized draught animal knew it needed a Power Wagon. If that history, the aura of war, and the ruthless functionality attract you but the mean comforts and 70-year-old manners don't, then you need to get in touch with Legacy Classic Trucks. The Jackson Hole, WY, restorer retains every ounce of the Power Wagon's orchard-work aptitude, decorated with present-day amenities and the best components. Each job starts with having to find a usable donor. The city of Breckenridge, CO, bought the red truck in our gallery in 1947 and used it as a snowplow for the next 30 years. In 1977 a log-home builder bought it from the city and used it for another decade as a company hauler. That's the kind of grueling longevity that lets Ram put a five-figure premium on the 2500 Power Wagon pickup it sells today. Legacy Classics founder Winslow S.
