Here we have a rock solid at least mechanical wise Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel standard cab pickup. All the usual mechanical weak points on these model trucks has been taken care of including:

Freshly Rebuilt Trans - Less than 100 miles - Complete with Suncoast Billet Triple Disk Converter and Rebuild Kit - ATS Billet Flex Plate - Trans Go Shift Kit - B&M Aluminum Deep Sump Pan

BD Diesel Transfer Pump - Relocated to the frame rail instead of the side of the engine.

New Upper and Lower Ball Joints - Approx. 300 miles since installation

New Front Calipers - Approx. 300 miles since installation

Bilstein Shocks on all 4 corners

90hp BD Diesel Fuel Injectors

New A/C Compressor - Approx. 10,000 miles since installation

Front tires are new and have about 95% tread, rear tires about 35%. All 4 tires are load range E.

Now for the negative stuff. I like to let all my buyer know the good and the bad on a vehicle.

The paint....... well it does have some. This truck has been a southern truck all its life and the paint is in bad shape. Since it has been in the south rust isn't really an issue so all it really needs is a good paint job.

One thing these trucks were notorious for is cracked dashes. Well this truck has that. I have put a dash overlay on but the truck really needs a complete dash and support plastic.

Again if your looking for a work truck that will not let you down then this is it. If you are looking for something to impress a date this ain't it.

Rare Dodge Daytona found in barn heads for auction

Tue, Dec 15 2015

An American icon is headed to Mecum's Kissimmee, Florida auction next January. Charlie Lyons, owner of a restoration shop focused on old Chrysler products, got a lead on a two-owner 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona that had been sitting in a barn in Glenwood, Alabama for decades. Dodge built 560 Charger Daytonas (Canada and US production) to homologate the model for NASCAR racing, and then that car and the successor Plymouth Superbird terrorized NASCAR tracks for 18 months. The production car, however, 18 feet long and considered ugly, wasn't popular at the time, so many were beat up or simply disappeared. Around 385 are thought to exist today. Lyons said the first owner of this car was the town judge, who bought it for his wife. In 1974 the second owner - just 18 years old at the time - bought it for $1,800 so he could drive it to Panama City, Florida, for Spring Break, and had flames painted on the front fenders and the scallops trimmed in white. Otherwise this barn find is complete and stock, with matching numbers throughout, R4 Charger Red paint and a white tail, bucket seats, center console, three-speed TorqueFlite automatic, and 20,553 miles on the 440-cubic-inch Magnum V8. Hot Rod has the long story of how Lyons found the car and convinced the owner to sell for what he jokingly called "a shoebox full of folded money." Hagerty says a concours-worthy model can command $262,000. Mecum's pre-sale estimate for this Charger Daytona is $150,000 to $180,000. That sounds steep, but Mecum did sell another perfectly restored Hemi-powered 1969 Charger Daytona for $900,000 at this year's Kissimmee auction to actor David Spade. Related Video:

Dodge hoping Fast & Furious appearance gives Dart a sales jolt [w/video]

Tue, 28 May 2013

According to Automotive News, Chrysler is hoping Fast & Furious 6 will be kind to the Dodge Dart. While the compact sedan doesn't actually show up in the film, Dodge has partnered up with the movie franchise for a new ad featuring the Dart.
Chrysler hasn't exactly seen the high sales numbers it was originally hoping for with the new sedan, thanks in part to a couple of missteps. For starters, most early-production vehicles were only offered with a manual transmission. Analysts believe Chrysler squandered around 95 percent of potential Dart sales because automatic transmission options weren't immediately available.
Right now, the Dodge Dart rakes 19th among compact cars, pulling down 31,064 sales through April. Last month was the company's strongest, with 8,099 units moving off of dealer lots. Unfortunately, the model has also been handicapped by its older sister, the Avenger. With Chrysler throwing heavy incentives at the aging sedan, many consumers have taken advantage of a better deal with the slightly larger, more powerful Avenger.

2014 Dodge Durango teaser reveals new 'racetrack' taillights

Fri, 22 Mar 2013

Not wanting to let Jeep get all of the SUV attention for the 2014 model year, Dodge is unveiling a refreshed version of its Durango at the New York Auto Show. Teased in this image, all we can really tell about the 2014 Dodge Durango is that it will be getting Dodge's "racetrack" taillights similar to the Charger and Dart.
The chrome or painted strip currently between the Durango's Zorro taillamps have been removed to allow for a full-width LED array with "DODGE" lettering displayed more prominently above the license plate pocket. Parent company Chrysler also promises that the updated Durango will add "several new class-exclusive features," but stops short of saying what those are. Earlier reports suggest that among the changes, buyers will be able to look forward to an eight-speed automatic gearbox, which ought to improve the three-row SUV's fuel efficiency.
