Here is a very clean low mileage 2001 dodge 2500 4x4 quad cab, equipped with the bullet proof 24v Cummins turbo diesel. this truck has under 100,000 miles and runs great fires right up and purrs.   this is a second owner truck so it does have some minor dings and scratches. interior is in great shape except for cracks in the dash which is very common for these trucks. this truck has almost all of the steering components replaced from the steering gear box to the intermediate shaft. It has the essential steering brace that eliminates frame flex. New upper ball joints, tie rod ends etc. cold air intake, 4 inch dual exhaust, edge 3 level tuner, 2 inch front leveling kit, gooseneck  ball and rails for fifth wheel hitch, electric brake controller. power heated tow mirrors, new windshield, custom tail lights, running lights. And I'm sure I have forgotten a couple of things, but the bottom line is the truck runs amazing and sounds great. the truck was purchased from a dealer who got it from an insurance company due to a theft recovery, so it does have a salvage title, but the truck has a clean car fax with no accidents. I don't know what else to say about this truck, it is great, and the only reason I'm selling is because I am trying to add on to my house and need more money, and I have another truck to pull my camper. so just keep in mind this isn't a new truck, it does have average wear and tear for its age. This is a very nice rust free non smoker south western truck.  Pick up and or delivery is buyers responsibility. Thank you and good luck!

NHTSA investigating 110,000 Ram 2500s and 3500s, one death alleged

Fri, 23 May 2014

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has launched an investigation focusing on 110,000 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 pickups from model years 2004 to 2006. One death has already been reported, according to NHTSA, due to a potential fault with the clutch interlocks on manual-transmission versions of the heavy duty pickup.
According to the report, these trucks can be started without depressing the clutch. There have been three reports so far, and as we mentioned above, one very sad incident seems to have resulted in the death of a child.
"One complaint involved an incident that occurred when a child was able to enter the vehicle and start the ignition without depressing the clutch. The vehicle then moved forward striking another child resulting in a fatality," NHTSA said in the investigation bulletin, which you can view below.

Dodge, Jeep and Ram could soon be owned by Chinese automakers

Mon, Aug 14 2017

For the past several years, Fiat Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne has made it widely known that the automaker he helms is up for grabs. First, he sent an email to GM CEO Mary Barra, who immediately refused to even discuss a merger. Later, Marchionne set his sights on Volkswagen. That too was swiftly rebuffed. It seemed like no global automaker was remotely interested in a partnership. Now, Automotive News reports that several Chinese automakers have come calling, only FCA isn't ready to answer. At least not yet. The news broke this morning that a major Chinese automaker had made an offer to purchase FCA for slightly above market value. FCA refused, saying the offer wasn't quite generous enough. It's unclear which automaker made the offer, but Automotive News says there's more than one interested party. FCA representatives have recently traveled to China to meet with Great Wall Motors, while Chinese representatives were seen at FCA corporate headquarters in Auburn Hills, Mich. The Chinese government has a lot of money invested in local automakers. It's putting pressure on these automakers to expand globally, including to the United States. As it stands, it's a matter of when a Chinese automaker will start selling cars here, not if. Purchasing an established automaker with a wide range of products and a huge dealer network would do wonders in giving the Chinese a foothold here. Sure, Geely owns Volvo, but a luxury automaker doesn't have nearly as much reach as a more mainstream company like FCA. This seems like the best case scenario for both a Chinese automaker looking to move into the U.S. and for FCA, at least from a business standpoint. The latter doesn't seem to have any other interested parties. It will be interesting to see how FCA would sell a deal like this to the public. We're not sure everyone will be happy with Dodge, Jeep and Ram falling under Chinese ownership. FCA didn't turn down the Chinese because they didn't like the idea. It turned down the offer because there wasn't enough money on the table. Related Video: News Source: Automotive News Earnings/Financials Alfa Romeo Chrysler Dodge Fiat Jeep RAM
