up for bid is a nice 1999 rust free dodge cummins 4x4 quad cab short bed. I drove this truck up from Houston, Texas last fall. It has never had any rust. The under side is also rust free. It does have sun fade on the hood and roof. I had the transmission completely rebuilt in January less then 1,000 miles ago. the injection and lift pump were both replaced, the front end has been completely rebuilt, the tires 285 series with less then 1,000 mile on them, It has a current PA inspection which means the truck has been completely gone through and is solid, every option on the truck works as it should, runs excellent and goes down the road straight, there is a couple of small cracks starting in the dash, it has a power seat, overhead temp and mileage, auto dimming rear view mirror, it does not leak and fluids, it has a tow package with helper springs on the rear, 3:55 gear ratio with limited slip in the rear, newer batteries, all of the glass is good, spray in bed liner. Chrysler minivans under investigation for stalling after fuel refill
Wed, 10 Sep 2014According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, at least one man has reported that his 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan stalled unexpectedly on the highway shortly after being refueled. The unidentified man who contacted NHTSA regarding the issue cited as many as eight similar instances reported by other drivers.
NHTSA has announced that it will launch an inquiry into this issue, which could affect as many as 160,000 minivans from Dodge and Chrysler that were sold in 2007 (or more, if a problem is found that extends to additional models years, we'd assume). As of yet, there's no formal investigation, let alone a recall, on these vans, as the agency is merely determining if further action is needed.
Two months ago, Chrysler recalled nearly 700,000 vehicles, the majority of which were minivans, from the 2008-2010 model years to replace ignition switches after an investigation found that their weak springs and detent positions could fool a driver into thinking the car was in the "Run" position, when it's actually in the "Accessory" position.

A raft of important production models from the last hundred years were available for me to either drive or ride in.
Dodge is 100 years old this year. So, as happened on Ford's recent centennial, the 50-year birthday of the Porsche 911, and others, the company has an excuse to trot out the highlights of its history next to its upcoming model lineup, and declare that "these are the fruits of the Dodge Boys' tree whose roots have grown strong." Or something like that. Never so hampered by marketing skepticism that I'll pass up the opportunity to burn someone else's rubber, I was happy to drive out to Meadow Brook Hall in Rochester Hills, MI - former grand estate of the Dodge family - to hear the spiel.
