This was NOT a work truck, although it did tow heavy loads from time to time. Both the original owner and I had jobs that did not require trucks. That being stated, there are a handful of minor problems. Among them are, crack in lower middle windshield. Worn steering wheel (2 inch section at top of wheel). Headliner pulled away from the top/front portion of ceiling. Driver side headlight needs to be wired up (installed incorrectly)."

I am only the second owner. I had planned to keep the truck long term but I must sell it soon. I have easily spent more money in upgrades in the last 2 years than the truck cost me. The truck ran perfect when I bought it, except for the gas gauge. Now it runs even better and I fixed the gauge. Surprisingly, it cost me $1,500 to fix the issue but now you have a completely new fuel sending, receiving, and pump system. Many high end replacement parts installed. 

Good News: Over $10,000 in recent upgrades including, cold air intake, Banks Twin Ram and BanksTechnicooler systems, Bilstein HD shock, 90hp DDT injectors, Amzoil dual bypass oil filter system (25,000 oil change interval), lift & level suspension, EBC rotors and pads, custom exhaust, HID headlights, LED brake lights. very high end NURF bars, and much more. 

No so good news: Overall the truck has a few dings, dents, loose door panel and a few other things to expect in a cared for but 16 year old truck. But, trust me, its a solid truck that will last a very long time to come.

Additional Information: The vehicle report says that there are 3 "estimated" owners. I bought the truck from a wholesaler that introduced me to the original owner and told me all the great work and maintaniance he had performed through its life. The missing owner was simply the company that handled the buy/sell between the original owner and myself.

Toyota, Lexus dominate KBB's Best Resale Value Awards

Toyota and Lexus stormed the 2014 Kelley Blue Book Best Resale Value Awards, winning a combined 18 categories including best brand and best luxury brand. This marks the third year in a row that both automakers have won the Brand and Luxury Brand resale value awards. In all, Toyota won 11 categories and Lexus won seven.
Honda made a good showing, as well, winning two segments (Accord Plug-In Hybrid and Civic Si) and putting one car on the top-10 Best Resale Value list (CR-V). Chevrolet did even better, winning two segments (with the V6 Camaro and the Corvette) and placing three cars on the top-10-overall list (again, the Camaro and Corvette, plus the Silverado 1500).
The other winners came from Jeep, Dodge, Infiniti, Subaru and Audi. To give you a clearer picture of the Toyota and Lexus domination, their 18 mentions represents more than half of the 34 awards (including the top-10-overall list).

Fiat Chrysler to get $105M fine from NHTSA for recall woes

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is about to send a powerful message to automakers doing business in the United States, assuming reports of an upcoming $105 million fine against Fiat Chrysler Automobiles comes to fruition. In addition to the record-setting monetary fine, according to The Wall Street Journal, FCA will have to accept an independent auditor that will monitor the company's recall and safety processes and will be forced to buy back certain recalled vehicles. In other cases, such as with Jeep Grand Cherokee and Liberty models with gas tanks that could potentially catch fire in certain types of accidents, FCA will offer financial encouragement for owners to get their recall work done or to trade those older vehicles in on new cars, according to the report. FCA could reportedly reduce its fines if it meets certain conditions, though those remain unclear at this time. These actions against FCA are being taken after NHTSA began a probe into the automaker over almost two dozen separate instances where the government claims FCA failed to follow proper procedures for recalls and safety defects. Included in those safety lapses are more than 11 million vehicles currently in customer hands. These penalties and fines are separate from the investigation over security problems with Chrysler's Uconnect system that allowed hackers to obtain remote access into key vehicle systems in 1.4 million vehicles.
