1992 Dodge W250 LE Cummins Turbo Diesel 4WD.  Clean original truck with typical dings, dents and fading/peeling Dodge paint.  Very well maintained and not abused or a construction truck.  I had the hood stripped and urethane primered because all the paint was coming off, the same will need to be done to the roof.  With a complete paint job this will be a very nice $10,000 plus truck as seen here on eBay.  The bed has a liner and under the liner is a very clean straight bed.  The truck has not done much work, mostly highway driving.  I have only driven the truck a couple thousand miles in the last few years and I really don't need it.  It has all the "LE" options, the cruise control is not working and the AC is cold but not ice cold.  I am looking for some R19 to add so it will be real cold again.  Everything else is working correctly.  It has the 3.53 gears so you can get good gas mileage and cruise at 75 MPH no problem.  The truck starts easy hot or cold.  Tires have plenty of tread.  I believe the engine is all stock with no performance modifications.  I am not the original owner so I don't know all the details.  I purchased the truck from an elderly gentleman who used it to commute between Denver and Glenwood Springs, CO.  The truck has probably been in Colorado for most of its life so there are no rust issues as we have a dry desert type climate here.  I will be happy to provide any additional pictures or information.  Please feel free to call me in the evenings at home 303-642-3969 for honest answers to any questions.  Rick

From Maseratis to rental cars | Autoblog Podcast #511

Fri, Apr 7 2017

On this week's podcast, Mike Austin and David Gluckman are in a huddle room (again), because the studio was already taken (again). We talk about the all-wheel-drive Dodge Challenger GT (again), as well as the Jeep Wrangler, Maserati Levante, Miata RF (again), and then David waxes poetic on mediocre rental cars (or similar). The episode wraps up with the traditional doling out of Spend My Money buying advice, with some input from an S2000 owner on advice discussed last time. The rundown is below. Remember, if you have a car-related question you'd like us to answer or you want buying advice of your very own, send a message or a voice memo to podcast at autoblog dot com. (If you record audio of a question with your phone and get it to us, you could hear your very own voice on the podcast. Neat, right?) And if you have other questions or comments, please send those too. Chrysler recalling 280k Dodge Ram 1500 pickups over axle seizures

Fri, Dec 19 2014

Following a June investigation by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will be recalling 280,000 Dodge Ram pickups from model year 2005. The issue, NHTSA told The Detroit News, centered on a loose pinion nut, which could cause the rear axle to seize and, potentially, the driveshaft to detach. The affected vehicles were built between January of 2004 and August of 2005, while of the 280,000 trucks, only 257,000 were sold in the US market. According to The News, the recall will begin on February 13, and will see owners report to dealerships to have "a retention feature" added to the pinion nut.

Dodge Challenger returns to Trans Am

Fri, 15 Aug 2014

NASCAR's Nationwide Series may have switched (in appearance anyway) to muscle cars, but American racing fans know that if they want to see real muscle cars on the street circuits, the only place to look is Trans Am. The all-American racing series is packed with Mustangs, Camaros and even Corvettes. The one thing it's been missing is the Dodge Challenger, but now SRT Motorsports has announced it's bringing its muscle car back where it belongs.
Rather than waiting until next year, the Miller Racing team is switching mid-season to the new Dodge Challenger SRT Trans Am racer you see here, just in time for this weekend's race at Mid-Ohio. And not just that - it's lined up a compelling pair of drivers to pilot it, as well.
The No. 11 car will be driven by Trans Am legend Tommy Kendall, a four-time series champion who's been off the grid since 2004. Backing him up in the No. 1 Challenger will be none other than Cameron Lawrence, the driver who has won five out of six races in the Chevy Camaro so far this season, losing out only once to American racing scion Adam Andretti.
