1991 Dodge D250 With A 1995 Intercooled Motor on 2040-cars
Urbana, Ohio, United States
This is a 1991 with a 1995 intercooled motor and NV4500 5 speed transmission. Overall this truck is probably in average or better condition when compared to other trucks of it’s age. It has nicks and scratches which you can see in the pictures. As you can see in all the pictures, we didn’t try to make this truck spotless. It does clean up nice but the weather here in Ohio has been bad so we didn’t detail it or clean it up. The motor was professionally built 6,000 miles ago with the following parts: ATS manifold, head studs, O-ringed, P-pump, new power steering pump. It has an oem intercooler. It has a 5 speed NV4500 transmission with a recent input shaft. The clutch is a dual disk and is very sensitive and kind of a pain to drive if you haven’t driven a stiff dual disk before. The fellow that had owned the truck was planning on installing a compound turbo kit on it. He lost his job and sold the truck for less than what he had in it which is why we are starting the bidding at such a low amount. We came across another deal that we couldn’t pass on for another truck so we are selling this one. We already bought the other truck so we need to sell this truck soon. This is a strong running truck and starts up instantly every time. It has a 925 amp battery. There are twin remote mounted oil filters, new radiator and electric fan. There are several auto meter gauges. The 4 gauges on the dash are: Trans temp(for the automatic that was in the truck), Boost , EGT, Fuel pressure. The fuel pressure just stopped working last week, it just needs blown out or I have a new sender unit that I will let you have. There is a tachometer on the steering column and a boost gauge and a air pressure gauge on the piller. I’m not sure what the guy was going to use the air pressure gauge for but we have a new oil pressure gauge that we were going to install in place of the air gauge. There is also an oil pressure gauge mounted under the hood that was used as a fuel pressure gauge that doesn’t work. It needs blown out and if that doesn’t make it work I have included a new one to replace it also. This truck has a push button starter and a knob that you pull to kill the engine. There is also a manual throttle handle. The silver switch on the lower left is for the electric lift pump. The passengers side electric window motor has been lubed and adjusted. The drivers side was rebuilt last fall but the window was froze shut in January and the window motor stripped the new gear so it needs the gear in the motor replaced again, you can get the parts at Advance Auto for 10 or $12. It also has power door locks. We have never hooked this truck but it does have adjustable bump stops in the back and front weight bracket receivers. It weighs approx. #6300. It has a gooseneck ball in the bed. The rear window is a sliding window. The tires are Cooper STT 33x12.50 and as you can see in the pictures, they still have a lot of tread on them. The front shocks are Rancho RS5000’s. There are twin power amps under the drivers seat, all the cab lights work. The clutch master cylinder is 3 months old. Since the winter was so bad here in Ohio I have several parts that we haven’t installed on this truck yet. All the extra parts will go with the truck. The following parts are included: The speedometer doesn’t work so I bought a new sender unit and a used dash cluster. There is a lot of slop in the steering caused by the front leaf spring bushings, I have new front leaf spring bushing that go with the truck(the pitman arm and steering gear box do not have the expected amount of play in them, most of the steering play is from the worn out leaf spring bushings). The U-joints in the front drive shaft are bad and you will get all 3 new u-joints(the shaft is already off the truck). There are extra oil filters and a fuel filter. There is a picture of all the extra parts that you will get with the truck. Another one of the pictures shows a dyno sheet for this truck. The dyno wasn’t loading the truck properly and we only made 22lbs of boost and 2500 rpm but it still made 360 at the rear wheels. I would expect it to make 30 to 35 more with more boost and rpm. The following links will have some additional pictures or video of the truck: Please call with any offers or to set up a time to come look at it. Don937four08nine323 |

Mopar '13 Dart is a bruiser of a compact
Fri, 08 Feb 2013For the fourth year in a row, Mopar is offering a limited-production car decked with a plenty of add-ons and a unique look. This year's black-and-blue car is the Mopar '13 Dart, which was unveiled at the Chicago Auto Show with the now-signature paint scheme. Like previous Mopar models, only 500 of the '13 Darts will be built. Past models include the Mopar '10 Challenger, Mopar '11 Charger and the Mopar '12 300.
The all-black Dart gets a brightly contrasting, offset blue stripe running the full length of the car, and other styling mods like the aero-tuned body kit, gloss black grille, wheels and mirror caps. Curiously, Mopar chose to stick with the Dart's standard headlights rather than the darker, smoked lights. The interior gets a similar black-and-blue treatment, but this unique cabin features a blue leather driver's seat to go along with the black leather seating for the rest of the passengers.
More than just a styling package, the Mopar '13 Dart also gets some performance and handling goodies to complement the Dart's turbocharged 1.4-liter engine, such as upgraded brakes with slotted rotors, a lowered suspension, retuned electric power steering and a "sport-tuned" exhaust system.
Custom 2014 Dodge Durango R/T proves SEMA can be subtle
Thu, 07 Nov 2013The annual SEMA Show in Las Vegas can often be a sensory overload of overwrought madness, with cars that don't even look drivable anymore. But every once in a while, a modestly modified show car graces our presence, like the customized Dodge Durango you see here, which, in addition to giving us our first glimpse at the aftermarket possibilities for the refreshed-for-2014 model, proves that a car doesn't have to be slammed, scooped, donked and Lambo-doored to have presence.
Sure, this Durango has custom hood inserts, dark 22-inch wheels and custom fender flares, but as far as external modifications go, that's it. Inside, Dodge has fitted new door sill guards, an ambient lighting kit, bright pedals, premium floor mats and - of course - Katzkin leather. The automaker has even added wireless internet connectivity as part of the excellent Uconnect infotainment system.
Performance upgrades are minimal on this Durango R/T, which comes packed with Chrysler's 5.7-liter Hemi V8. Larger brakes have been fitted, as have lowering springs (though it certainly doesn't look that much lower) and a custom exhaust.
This SEMA special drag race is absurdly awesome
Fri, Dec 5 2014The SEMA Show came and went last month, and it showed us a ton of heavily modded goodies to dream about during the long, cold winter. The Motor Trend Channel on YouTube is keeping the party rolling a little longer, though, with a drag race inspired by the aftermarket event. All of the hosts were supposed to borrow a vehicle from the show for the big race, but only two of them actually cajoled companies into lending their wares. Still, the result includes four very cool and extremely different examples of the breadth of the automotive hobby. First up, there's a 1955 Chevrolet with a 535-cubic-inch (8.8-liter) Hemi V8 stuffed under the hood. Appropriately, it's dubbed the Blasphemi, and with skinny tires up front, fat rubber in the rear and a stripped interior, this this is made to go very fast in a straight line. Next, there's a stock Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat boasting 707 horsepower. Plus, host Jessi Lang has her dog riding shotgun for the race. A Chevy Sonic RS with some body mods, downpipe and intake is also competing. Finally, the most bizarre of the quartet is a custom 1958 Jeep Forward Control with a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 and treads to replace the wheels. Obviously, the Blasphemi and Hellcat are the only two that really have a chance of winning, but check out the video to see which one crosses the finish line first.
