1991 Dodge D250 Reg. Cab 8-ft. Bed 2wd - Diesel on 2040-cars
Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania, United States
THIS IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO OWN A GREAT TRUCK, A 1991 D250 PICKUP WITH 5.9 CUMMINS TURBO DIESEL. THIS FIRST GENERATION MODEL IS BECOMING EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND IN A DECENT AND ROADWORTHY CONDITION. FOR THOSE WHO KNOW, THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST HIGHLY DESIRED TRUCKS OF THE 90S VINTAGE. THEY ARE BUILT TO PERFORM DUTIFULLY AND THEY WOULD LAST MANY LIFE TIMES. THIS TRUCK NEVER CEASES TO SURPRISE ME, IT STARTS IN ALL WEATHER CONDITION WITHOUT AN ELECTRIC BLOCK HEATER, NO MATTER HOW COLD IT GETS. THIS IS ONE GREAT TRUCK.
THIS TRUCK RUNS AND DRIVES GREAT AND EQUALLY IMPORTANT, IT PULLS LIKE A FREIGHT TRAIN AND IT STILL GIVES ME AN AVERAGE OF 20 MILES PER GALLON OF FUEL, LOAD OR NO LOAD. THIS TRUCK HAS BEEN USED AS MY FREQUENT DRIVER SINCE I ADDED IT TO MY INVENTORY; IN ENJOYING IT I HAVE DONE THE FOLLOWING REPAIRS TO IT IN THE LAST YEAR:
INSTALLED A NEW BATTERY, VOLTAGE REGULATOR AND ALTERNATOR
INSTALLED BRAND A NEW BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER, BRAKE BOOSTER AND REAR BREAK SHOES.
FRONT PADS ARE GOOD
MILEAGE READS 169824 ON A DEFECTIVE ODOMETR, APPROXIMATE MILES ON THE TRUCK IS ABOUT 175,000 MILES. SPEEDOMETER WORKS SO YOU CAN AT LEAST MEASURE AND CONTROL TRUCK SPEED. THE WATER TEMPERATURE GAGE STOPPED WORKING AS A RESULT OF A DEFECTIVE VOLTAGE REGULATOR THAT OVERCHARGED THE BATTERY AND SENT TOO MUCH VOLTAGE TO THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AFFECTING THE TEMPERATURE GAGE. THE TRUCK RUNS WELL AND DOES NOT OVERHEAT, SO LET NOT YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED.
THE BODY CONDITION IS AS PICTURED AND CAN BE ENJOYED ASIS, THE TOP RIGHT FRONT CORNER OF THE ROOF HAS SOME RUST PLEASE SEE PICTURE. IF BY ANY CHANCE RESTORATION IS IN YOUR PLANS FOR THIS TRUCK, THIS IS A CANDIDATE FOR A LIGHT AND EASY RESTORATION. RIGHT SIDE OF FRONT BUMPER HAS A DENT AND THERE IS A CRACK IN THE WINDSHIELD, TRUCK WILL ALSO NEED A NEW RIGHT FRONT SIDE MARKER LIGHT LENS, THE ONE ON THE TRUCK IS BROKEN. THE CHROME PLASTIC GRILLE HAS AN ALMOST INVISIBLE CRACK. ALL THESE ARE COSMETIC FLAWS THAT DO NOT IN ANYWAY DEMINISH THE TRUE INTEGRITY OF THIS TRUCK.
APART FROM THE ESSENTIAL REPAIRS THAT I HAVE DONE ON THIS TRUCK, I HAVE ENJOYED THIS TRUCK TREMENDOUSLY AS A WORKHORSE IN THE LAST YEAR, SO COULD YOU WHEN YOU BECOME ITS NEXT PROUD OWNER. TRUCK IS BEING OFFERED FOR SALE ASIS WITH NO WARRANTY WRITTEN OR IMPLIED, PLEASE COME AND INSPECT AND TEST DRIVE THIS TRUCK BEFORE YOU BUY. YES I HAVE DESCRIBED THE TRUCK TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE, BUT WHAT YOU THINK IS THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS. CALL ME FOR AN APPOINTMENT TO SEE, INSPECT AND TEST DRIVE THE TRUCK. THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION, SO BID WHATEVER YOU ARE COMFORTABLE WITH. HAPPY BIDDING!

2014 Dodge Dart Blacktop glosses over performance
Tue, 14 Jan 2014The Dodge Dart is a decent little car. It's honest, basic transportation, and many of us at Autoblog are genuinely fond of the Alfa Romeo-based compact sedan. For 2014, not a whole lot changes in the Dart world, save the addition of this new Blacktop edition that makes its debut here at the Detroit Auto Show.
It's all very simple, this Blacktop package, and doesn't actually alter performance in any way. Instead, buyers are treated to blacked-out exterior bits like 18-inch wheels, the crosshair grille and headlamp bezels. Inside, black/tungsten or black/red cloth seats are available, with red contrast stitching throughout the cabin.
Adding the Blacktop pack to your Dart SXT with the Rallye Appearance Group will set you back a scant $295, and while it's just an appearance package, it all looks pretty nice to us.
Chrysler recalling 644k more Dodge Durango and Jeep Grand Cherokee SUVs over brakes
Wed, 02 Apr 2014Early last month, we reported on Chrysler issuing a preemptive, proactive recall for about 25,000 units of the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango. The issue revolved around a brake system that wasn't causing any actual problems, but delivered an unsatisfactory brake feel, so Auburn Hills called in a good 25,000 of SUVs around the world, including 18,700 in the United States.
Now Chrysler, having apparently determined that the brake problem on its sport utes is actually much bigger than it initially realized, has drastically broadened the scope of the recall. As a result, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall for precisely 655,354 examples of the Grand Cherokee and Durango, covering the 2011 through 2014 model years. In addition, Chrysler is recalling 42,380 units in Canada, 21,376 in Mexico and 159,685 overseas.
The problem which Chrysler found revolves around the brake booster, whose center shell has been found to be subject to corrosion, allowing water to get into the brake system. That water in turn could freeze, preventing the brakes from working as well as expected.
Chrysler recalling over 280k minivans because airbags may deploy on wrong side
Mon, 08 Jul 2013Chrysler has issued a recall for some 2013 Town & Country, Dodge Grand Caravan and Ram C/V Tradesman vans built between May 10, 2012 and June 7, 2013. These vehicles may have a software error that would cause the wrong side (opposite side) airbags to deploy in a crash. With this defect, a left-side impact would cause the right-side airbag to deploy, etc.
The recall affects 281,500 vehicles in total: 224k in the US, 49,300 in Canada, 2,900 in Mexico and 5,300 in other locations. Chrysler will notify owners of effected vehicles, and reflash the offending occupant restraint control module to resolve the issue. Scroll down to read the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration press release.
