1987 Dodge Ram LE250 360 cu. In. 4WD

In 1997, I purchased this truck from a friend who sells wrecked vehicles.  This truck had front end damage only, no frame damage.  Replaced what was needed.  New shocks, brakes and hardware, calipers, drums and rotors.  All wheel bearings were replaced.  Tires and wheels were bought new.  This is not a magnum motor, air cleaner is not original to vehicle.  Everything was done in 1998.  Odometer when purchased read 123,252, it now reads 125,869.  Title will say rebuilt salvage.

Right passenger door has 2 small dents and surface rust around mirror bracket, right fender has a small dent, tailgate has three primer spots, roof in primer also.  Wiper cowl will need painted.  AC worked until a year ago, clutch still kicks in but only blows cool; R12 is still in system.  Right  window motor needs replaced.  Will need complete exhaust system in future.  Valve covers need replaced.  Left power door lock is not working.

This truck is equipped with cruise control, AM FM cassette player, power windows and door locks, tilt steering and sliding rear window.  Truck has rear cargo light.  Truck bed has been coated with Herculiner.

Since I have owned this truck, it has been housed in garage and never seen winter.  This truck is a head turner as it is.  My idea was to show it in car shows, but I'm now 60 years old with too many projects.  I don't think you will be disappointed.

My name is John, message me or call with any questions, 440-577-1310 or cell 440-228-4889.  More photos can be added upon request.  Vehicle is sold as is with no returns.  No shipping, pick up only, no international bidders.  A deposit of $500.00 through pay-pal only, with the balance paid in cash when truck is picked up.

Stellantis announces ‘Circular Economy’ business to drive revenue, decarbonization

Tue, Oct 11 2022

Stellantis has already announced its plans to reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2038. Today, the automaker has announced a new business unit to help it reach that goal while generating 2 billion euros per year in revenue by 2030. The “Circular Economy” business will help make revenue less dependent on finite, rare and ecologically problematic materials. The Circular Economy model features what Stellantis calls a “4R” strategy, comprising remanufacturing, repair, reuse and recycling. The goal is to make materials last as long as they can, reducing reliance on the acquisition of those precious new materials in the future by returning them to the business loop when theyÂ’ve reached the end of their first life. Through these processes, Stellantis says it can save up to 80% raw material and 50% energy compared to manufacturing a new part. Remanufacturing, or “reman” in Stellantis shorthand, means dismantling, cleaning and rebuilding parts to OEM spec. Nearly 12,000 remanufactured parts are available for customers to purchase. Some remanufacturing is done in-house, and some with partners and through joint ventures. Repair is pretty obvious — fixing parts to put back into vehicles. This also consists of reconditioning, to make a vehicle feel like new. Stellantis boasts 21 “e-repair” centers for repairing electric vehicle batteries.  Reuse refers to parts still in good condition from end-of-life vehicles sold as-is. Stellantis says it has 4.5 million multi-brand parts in inventory. These are sold in 155 countries through the B-Parts e-commerce platform. Reuse also refers second-life options, such as using batteries outside of automotive purposes. Recycling involves dismantling parts and scraps back into raw material form that is then looped back into the manufacturing process. Stellantis says it has collected 1 million parts for recycling in the past six months. Recycling doesnÂ’t get counted in that aforementioned 2 billion euros of revenue, but it does save the company money on acquisition of raw materials. As for batteries, specifically, Stellantis expects this recycling business to ramp up after 2030, when the packs currently in service begin to reach the end of their lifecycle. Stellantis will use its new “SUSTAINera” label to denote parts that are offered as part of its Circular Economy business.

How fracking is causing Chrysler minivans to sit on Detroit's riverfront

Fri, 25 Apr 2014

It's fascinating the way that one change to a complex system can have all sorts of unintended consequences. For instance, there are hundreds of new Chrysler Town and County and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans built in Windsor, Ontario, sitting in lots on the Detroit waterfront because of the energy boom in the Bakken oil field in the northern US and parts of Canada.
The huge amount of crude oil coming from these sites mostly use freight trains for transport, and that supply boom has resulted in a shortage of railcars to carry other goods. According to The Windsor Star, North American crude oil transport by train has gone from 9,500 carloads in 2008 to 434,032 carloads in 2013. Making matters worse, some North American rail infrastructure is still damaged because of this year's harsh winter, and that's slowing things down even further.
Chrysler admits to The Star that it has had some delivery delays due to the freight train shortage. In the meantime, it's using more trucks to deliver its vehicles. Trucking is a far less economical solution, partially because a train can carry so many more units at one time, but alternatives are slim. The Windsor plant alone has a deal for 33 trucks to distribute the minivans around Canada and the Midwestern US.

Hero gets his truck back better than new thanks to community support [w/video]

Sun, 29 Jun 2014

You ever hear a story and start cringing before you hear the end because you know how it's going to turn out? That could very well have been the case with the story from a few weeks ago in West Valley City, Utah, where a 14-year-old kid stole his grandfather's Hyundai Veloster and took it for a joyride - through a park full of children. But instead it turned into a heart-warming tale of heroism and a community banding together to do what's right... and then some.
Bryson Rowley was that hero who identified the danger and, rather than sit idly by and watch the joyrider potentially run over a child, got into his truck and drove it into the menacing runaway hatchback. The collision caused some $7,500 to his 2008 Dodge Ram 2500, but instead of getting stuck with the bill - one which his insurance may very well have refused to pay since the crash was, technically speaking, intentional - his community pitched in a helping hand.
Bryan Ellison, who owns West Valley Carstar with his brother, saw the news on television and wanted to help. So he brought Rowley a rental car, picked up his truck and brought it back to his auto repair shop. People from around the community donated parts, and when all was said and done, some $15,000 of work and upgrades were performed on the Ram that was returned to an overwhelmed Bryson Rowley better than new. Watch the video below for the full story.
