1981 DODGE CUMMINS CREW CAB Body: This body was stripped of all paint, epoxy primed, and meticulously straightened. Every panel was painted inside and outside off the vehicle in prowler orange pearl (no tape edges). Water sanded and buffed to mirror finish. All the panels were 100% rust free and extremely nice. There are many new OEM parts - wheel flairs, grill, grill inserts, tailgate, window felts, door gaskets, battery tray, rear door glasses, vent glasses, felt runs, and rear bumper. A Buckstop Winch Bumper with KC lights, tow hooks, and receiver was added to complete the front end. This vehicle has been driven 4,000 miles since completion of frame up rebuild. Mechanical: The engine has 88,000 miles. It has been completely regasketed, repainted, all belts, hoses, and accessories we replaced - water pump, fuel pump, alternator, A/C compressor/condenser, starter, radiator, master cylinder and brake booster, and wiper motor. The battery cables (neg. and pos.) A/C lines, cruise control module, throttle and cruise cables, down pipe have all been replaced with brand new OEM replacements. The injection pump and injectors were freshly rebuild upon installation. The motor is stock with the exception of fuel pin and throttle spring. Runs EXCELLENT and pulls strong. Very impressive! Gas prices down, 707-hp engine production up... USA!
Tue, Jun 30 2015On Saturday, the United States of America will celebrate its 239th birthday. That means fireworks, barbecues, block parties, and, oh yeah, Hellcat engines and low fuel prices. The most American of (Mexican-built) powerplants, the big, loud, supercharged, 707-horsepower Hemi is slated for yet another production boost to match up with some serious demand, while the dino juice it runs on is cheaper than it's been in over half a decade. The Saltillo, Mexico engine factory already produces some 4,000 Hellcat engines each year – that's in addition to the Tigershark four-cylinder, the 5.7-liter Hemi, and 6.4-liter SRT Hemi V8s – and it's not entirely clear how many more might get added to that total. What we do know, though, is that Fiat Chrysler can't build the engines fast enough. "We're going to build more [Hellcats] for 2016," SRT boss Tim Kuniskis told Automotive News. "It's a small sliver of what we sell, but it really creates a halo for the rest of the lineup. For example, the next highest car, the Scat Pack Challenger, I have essentially a zero-day supply. It's sold out." This bit of good news comes on the back of something equally good – low summer gas prices. According to the US Energy Information Administration, the nationwide average for for "all formulations" of fuel in June sits at $2.885. Ignoring the remarkably low prices we saw in January and February of this year – figures that themselves hadn't been seen since May of 2009 – the national average hasn't sat that low since October 2010. So yes, it's a very a good time to be an American gearhead. Chrysler teases upcoming outlay of SEMA cars
Wed, 15 Oct 2014Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is hauling a multitude of modified models to the annual SEMA show in Las Vegas this November, and the company is releasing the first teasing sketches of many of them.
Unfortunately, FCA isn't giving many solid details on any of the concepts other than saying the vehicles from Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram and Fiat all benefit from tuning from its Mopar performance brand. The teaser photos include a sinister-looking Chrysler 200S, Fiat 500 Abarth with two-tone paint and a scorpion on the hood, a red and black 500L, seemingly two different takes on the Jeep Renegade, a green Dodge Challenger wearing the T/A badge, an orange and black Dart, a very neon Charger, just the outline of a red and black Viper, a Ram ProMaster in Mopar livery and a Ram pickup called the Outdoorsman.
Take a look through the gallery to see what you think of the sketches for these concepts, and scroll down for the full announcement from FCA.
