Greensburg, Indiana, United States

I have for sale an 03 dodge 2500 crew cab 4wd long bed 5.9 common rail cummins diesel 6 speed manual pickup. Clean Title! I purchased this truck from a new Toyota store in Texas. No Reserve! Needs motor work! Runs fairly smooth but Smokes and has excessive blow-by. Rust Free Texas Truck! The transmission shifts threw the gears fine, but when the truck is running you can put it in any gear without using the clutch and No movement or noises. When the truck is off, it will roll in neutral but if you put it in gear it will not roll even with the clutch depressed. The clutch pedal does feel fine though? There is also NO front driveshaft in the truck! The truck is white in color with brownish gray cloth interior and the armrest console lid is torn up, as well as the drivers seat edge, and there are several cracks in the dash cover, it could also use a good cleaning. The body is in decent condition, as it has a dent in the right front fender and a few dings in the bedsides, a little damage to the front and back corner of the hood, and it appears that the clear coat is flaking off the left front fender and front part of the left front door, and the drivers side fog light cover is missing. It has power windows, locks, cruise, air, etc. The tires are fair and are mounted on a set of 20 inch aftermarket chrome wheels, with very minor pitting on them. The bed is rhinolined and has a gooseneck hitch in it. The truck has 276K miles on it. This is a No Reserve Auction, so please do no bid if you do not plan on completing the entire deal. Buyer is responsible for any and all shipping and arrangements, although I will assist in helping you or the transporter in loading. The truck will be sold AS-IS where is for I have never driven the truck to know anything at all about it. Since I am a licensed dealer Indiana residence will be responsible for 7% IN sales tax. If you have any questions or would like to come and inspect the truck please feel free to call or text me at (812)614-8323 Thanks

25,000 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Dodge Durango SUVs recalled over brake feel

Mon, 10 Mar 2014

Chrysler has announced that it is recalling over 25,000 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango SUVs from several markets over concerns about brake feel under hard braking. The affected models are from the 2012 and 2013 model years, although the actual dates of production aren't available. 18,700 are in the US, while 825 are in Canada, 530 are in Mexico and a further 5,200 outside of North America.
According to a statement, Chrysler was informed of the issue by a component supplier for the Ready Alert Braking system, which primes the brakes in anticipation of an emergency stop. A component in the system was restricting the flow of brake fluid too much.
As Chrysler is quick to point out, the way the brakes functioned was in compliance with regulations and there are no reported cases of drivers losing braking power. Instead, the issue rests with what Chrysler calls a pedal feel that "was not consistent with customer expectations." So it would seem Chrysler is being proactive and fixing a problem not because there's a legal issue at work, but simply because it doesn't feel the way the manufacturer wants it to. Well done.

Chrysler recalling 278,222 trucks and SUVs over bad rear axles

Thu, 14 Feb 2013

Chrysler has issued a recall of 278,222 light trucks and sport utility vehicles here in the United States. The reason: bad rear axles. Specifically, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the rear axle pinion nut may lack a necessary adhesive patch, which could cause the nut to loosen. If this happens, the axle can lock up, which could cause all sorts of havoc on the road.
This is an expansion of the rear axle recall announced in October of last year, where 44,300 Ram 1500 and Dodge Dakota models were being called in. At that time, 12 accidents had been reported due to the faulty axle pinion nut.
Affected vehicles include Ram 1500 trucks from the 2009 to 2012 model years, Dodge Dakota models from the 2009 to 2011 model years, and both the Chrysler Aspen and Dodge Durango SUV twins, both from the 2009 model year only.

Dodge Viper to out-Hell the Hellcat with supercharged V10?

Wed, 20 Aug 2014

The Viper wouldn't be the Viper if it wasn't the most powerful model under the Chrysler umbrella. But with the arrival of the Hellcat engine in the Dodge Charger and Challenger, the Viper has fallen behind in the bragging rights department: where the new supercharged V8 produces 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque, the naturally aspirated V10 offers "only" 640 hp and 600 lb-ft - gargantuan output figures by almost any other standard, but crucially behind on the SRT power scale. Conner Avenue is going to have to do something about that.
Although the Hellcat's engine reportedly won't fit under the Viper's hood, SRT is now rumored to have another trick up its sleeve: supercharge the existing V10. According to the Pentastar performance enthusiasts at allpar.com, Chrysler has already taken delivery of the first such prototype engines so that it can begin the process of fitting it into an upgraded Viper.
The spooled ten-pot is tipped to produce around 800 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. More than that and the Viper's drivetrain, chassis and bodywork would have to be substantially reworked. Though beefier transmissions are available, fitting them would reportedly set off a domino-game of changes required to handle the added torque. Which may be something Chrysler would be prepared to do for the next-generation model, but in the meantime, 800 hp could prove enough to put the Viper back atop the Mopar performance ladder where it belongs, and give it an edge against the new Corvette Z06 to rekindle sales.
