This is a very clean and very well maintained truck that has never had any mechanical problems whatsoever. I purchased it back in late 2008 with 83,000 miles from a dealership in Evansville Indiana. I've only put about 37,600 miles on the truck since I bought it. I'm moving to Texas soon and need to sell it so am ready to negotiate to get it sold ASAP. It will make an awesome truck for anyone who needs one! The only "issues" this truck has are purely cosmetic.I've never even taken this truck in the mud or off-roading (hard to believe but true!). It's ready for a new home and will provide many more years of enjoyment to whoever buys it. The truck is fully paid off and I have title in hand.

The good stuff:
  • Interior is in excellent shape
  • AC blows ice cold
  • Full fluid change at 105,000 (coolant, transmission/transfer case, front and rear differential, brakes, and power steering)
  • Bilstein HD shocks
  • 5 speed auto, 4.7L V8, 3.92 rear end, limited slip
  • 4 new brake calipers, brake fluid flushed
  • Royal Purple oil and K&N filters since I bought it. Last change about 500 miles ago with Pennzoil Ultra and K&N Filter
  • TPS and IAC sensors were replaced last summer
  • Fastman ported throttle body installed
  • Volant cold air intake installed
  • Custom flowmaster dual catback exhaust with Magnafow tips
  • Alpine CDE-HD138BT stereo just installed recently, included bluetooth mic for hands free calling and can stream audio from your phone.
  • 6000k HID foglights
  • OEM Bedliner
  • Laredo Tonneau cover (premium seal-less roll-up version with velcro and locks)
  • Custom tail gate lock that operates with the door locks
  • Husky liner floor mats

The not so good stuff:
  • One tire is practically new, the other 3 are original and could benefit being replaced before this winter.
  • The battery has not been replace since I've had it. There's no problem but I wanted to mention it.
  • There are some light scratches along the body
  • There is rust above the driver rear wheel well
  • The paint is starting to bubble above the passenger side wheel well
  • There is a small ding in the passenger rear quarter panel beneath the taillight
  • There is a very small ding in the rear bumper
  • The headlights show their age and could use a good restoration kit applied

Local sale only around Vincennes, IN area. I'm willing to meet within a 150 mile radius but the buyer will need to send a $500.00 deposit to me through Paypal for safe measure. I will only accept cash or a cashiers check for final payment for the truck. This vehicle is also for sale locally so this listing may end at any time. Please make me an offer I need this sold ASAP! Roadkill builds crazy-cheap 1968 Dodge Charger rat rod using an old motorhome

Tue, 24 Dec 2013

Certain requests for description simply cannot be fulfilled, like if someone asked you to describe Picasso's Guernica or Gilliam's Brazil. There is only one appropriate answer to such entreaties, and that is: "You just gotta see it." That's where we are with the latest episode of Roadkill, wherein Messr's Freiburger and Finnegan dig out a 1968 Dodge Charger that Freiburger acquired in exchange for a set of cylinder heads, and intend to stuff it with the big-block motor from a long-bed, three-quarter ton Dodge pickup.
Only the pickup is too nice to tear apart, and the Charger needs a whole lot more lovin' - and parts - than initially expected. Enter, stage right, the Class A Dodge Pace Arrow motorhome with a 440 big-block purchased for $1,000, and a retired Plymouth Fury from a previous episode.
What ensues over the course of the 40-minute installment is more cuttin', yankin', leakin', stallin', hammerin' and smokin' action than you've seen in a long time, and some techniques that would have made even Cooter wonder, "I'm not sure if we should do that." By the end, though, the payoff is good enough to make you think about perusing AutoTrader for a '68 Charger just to see if maybe...

Dodge Viper now available in matte finish

Tue, Jun 23 2015

The prospect of buying a new Dodge Viper just got that much more enticing with the introduction of matte-finish paint direct from the factory. Available as part of the "1 of 1" customization program, the matte finishes aren't being offered in just a handful of colors like some other automakers do: customers will be able to specify a matte finish on any of the 8,000 colors that are already part of the program's palette. The matte finish option adds yet another step to the exhaustive hand-painting process that Dodge offers on the Viper - a painstaking endeavor that takes upwards of 145 man hours to complete. Specialists start by applying a base coat and a clear finish, followed by the paint and clear coat. The finished body panels are then smoothed with 1,000-grit paper and polished. A second sanding process is required for the matte finish before the application of a matte clear coat. Specify custom stripes (available in five colors or by custom order) and they're applied under the paint, not as decals on top. The availability of the matte finish in conjunction with the stripe options and new satin badging and fuel cap leads to over 50 million combinations. Needless to say, that means no two Vipers need ever leave the Conner Avenue assembly plant the same – though there will surely always be certain favorite combinations, especially on those units ordered from outside the customization program. 2014 Dodge Durango

Wed, 25 Sep 2013

Say what you want about the Dodge Durango, but ever since it came on the scene in 1998, it has occupied its own niche in the SUV market - not too small, not too big, tough, able, not always the best on the road and not always the best off-road. If it were a football player, it would be a tight-end that can block and catch. If it were a hamburger - a double burger with cheese and bacon, but not the Whopper.
As part of a mid-cycle upgrade for what was already a very capable SUV that Chrysler introduced in 2011, and built on the same platform as the Mercedes GL-Class and Jeep Grand Cherokee, the 2014 Durango has gotten some refinements worth noting that have cleaned up its tailoring and toned up its body and powerplant. The result is an SUV that shows itself to be a very good value in a category full of sticker prices that can run away faster than a kid who's been told he has to take ballroom dancing lessons.
Chrysler executives showing us the new Durango made a special point to reiterate that the Dodge brand is not going away, as has been rumored after the company took the Ram and Viper - the cream of the brand - out from under the Dodge umbrella. Turns out Dodge has been the brand attracting the most young people (who knew?) and has a younger average age buyer than Honda. The Dodge brand historically has also attracted buyers who aren't exactly Phi-Beta Cappa, which some companies worry about. Chrysler not so much. Dodge buyers tend to be more the working, high-school-educated, community-college-educated backbone of the work force in America. If they keep coming to Dodge, the Durango is a pretty good piece of hardware to save up for.
