05 Hemi Dodge Ram 1500 Slt 4x4 Only 69500 Miles on 2040-cars
Bristol, Virginia, United States
For Sale is my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT 4x4 with the 5.7 Litre HEMI. This truck has plenty of power with 345 horsepower and 375 lb/ft of torque. It is in great condition and has been garage kept since I purchased the truck in June of 2010. This truck only has 69500 miles on it. That's less than 8000 miles per year. Everything about this truck works perfect. I have an aftermarket grill and tail lights (I have the originals if purchaser wants them). It has 17" Pro Comp wheels wrapped in 305/70r17 Nitto Terra Grapplers. The tires are practically brand new. 4 wheel drive works perfect. This truck was never abused or taken off-road. It has the towing package with the foldable towing mirrors. I pretty much only used this truck to put my boat in and out of the water as I have a car that I ride 99% of the time. I've always waxed the truck at least twice a year. My Ram doesn't suffer from the rust on the side of the bed that a lot of Rams have. I had a Daystar Leveling kit installed right after I purchased the truck. It was installed at RPM off-road in Bristol, TN and they also aligned the front end. This truck has cruise control, cd player, power mirrors, power door locks, keyless entry and has an automatic transmission. It also has a bed liner. I hate to sale the truck but my wife just bought an SUV and we don't need 3 vehicles. I'm selling this under Blue Book so act fast. Feel free to ask any questions. Local Pick-Up only. $500 deposit required at the time of purchase. I have the title in hand. I will not ship the truck anywhere. Purchaser has to pay in person the remainder of the balance at time of pick-up with cash or I will go with them to the bank so you can have a cashier's check issued or I can deposit a cashier's check and I will release the truck whenever it clears. Someone tried to scam me once before so I am cautious now. Thanks! |

Is Mopar readying a special-edition Dart for Chicago?
Sat, 26 Jan 2013Chrysler has released the above teaser of a limited-edition Mopar 2013 model that will be unveiled at next month's Chicago Auto Show. Although the automaker doesn't announce what vehicle will get the Mopar treatment, closer investigation of the seats and center console suggest that this car will be a special version of the 2013 Dodge Dart.
This will be the fourth Mopar model in as many years, following on the heels of the Mopar 2010 Challenger, Mopar 2011 Charger and the Mopar '2012 300. There are no details for the Mopar '13 Dart, but we do see that the car will retain the signature black-and-blue color scheme as past Mopar editions. Like these previous models, we expect production of Mopar '13 Dart to be limited to just 500 units.
Scroll down for Chrysler's press release teasing the new Mopar model, and we'll be sure to bring you plenty of live images from the show floor in a couple weeks.
IIHS says these are the safest cars of 2013
Wed, 02 Jan 2013The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has revealed its annual list of Top Safety Picks, an award that highlights automobiles it says offer "superior crash protection." A new and still more significant award, the Top Safety Pick+ honor, is given to those vehicles that earn good ratings for occupant protection in four out of five areas of measure. And while some 117 vehicles were given the TSP seal of approval for 2013, just 13 passed muster for TSP+.
To be fair, IIHS only evaluated 29 vehicles with its new testing procedures for TSP+ (we'd expect that the number of qualified cars will rise substantially for 2014). Luxury and Near Luxury midsize cars were the first groups evaluated, followed by midsizers in the Moderately Priced Cars category - unsurprisingly, it's only midsize cars that you'll find among the class this year.
Only two luxury sedans made the list of 13 for 2013: the Acura TL and Volvo S60. The other 11 cars on the list included entries from domestic, Japanese and German car makers: Dodge Avenger, Chrysler 200, Ford Fusion, Honda Accord (sedan and coupe), Kia Optima (but not its close kin, the Hyundai Sonata, strangely), Nissan Altima, Subaru Legacy and Outback, Suzuki Kizashi and the Volkswagen Passat all made the grade.
Hellcat no help to Fiat-Chrysler's bottom-of-the-pile mpg average
Wed, Oct 15 2014What, you expected the "fastest muscle car ever" to help fleetwide fuel economy? Nope, don't think that's going to happen. That means Fiat Chrysler will likely to continue to languish at the bottom of the heap when it comes to fleetwide fuel economy among the largest automakers serving the US, especially as the automaker starts to sell its Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat. A few hundred Fiat 500E electric vehicles aren't going to turn the trend around. See, Chrysler has once again finished at the bottom of the list when it came to fleetwide fuel economy among automakers for 2014 model-year vehicles, according to a preliminary study by the US Environmental Protection Agency. Chrysler and Fiat had an average of 21.1 miles per gallon. That substantially lagged the overall 24.2 mpg average, but it was an increase from the company's 20.9 mpg average last year and the 20.1 mpg average two years prior. For 2014, General Motors had the second-worst fleetwide fuel economy at an even 22 mpg. Fiat Chrysler does say it's working on improving its fuel economy, according to Automotive News. The company plans on making its inline-four-cylinder and V6 engines smaller, and will sell more vehicles with eight- and nine-speed transmissions. Heck, there's even a plug-in hybrid version of the Chrysler Town & Country minivan in the works for late 2015, and the company can tout fuel-efficiency gains with the Chrysler 200 and Jeep Cherokee. We would be remiss if we didn't note that, compared to its muscle-car forefathers, the Hellcat actually performs pretty well at the pump. Last month, word got out that the 2015 Challenger Hellcat, equipped either with a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission, got a combined fuel economy of 16 mpg. Heck, the automatic-tranny version got 22 mpg on the highway. And that's for a car with 707 horsepower and a 10-second quarter-mile time. Still, with the pedal floored, the car can burn a gallon and a half of fuel per minute. Ouch.
