1975 DODGE POWER WAGON 300 1-TON ADVENTURER 4X4 MINI-PUMPER FIRE TRUCK.
This is a very very clean and nice 1975 dodge fire/emergency truck nicknamed "LITTLE RED". It has that little red express look, but much tougher. If you want an awesome rare 4x4 to use or show, this is it. You won't be able to drive it anywhere without people and kids wanting to look at it. It really is an attention getter. Chevy and Ford guys will be rubbernecking to see this. It is a '75 model but was not completed or driven until '77 after it was converted to a fire truck. The conversion was done by 3-D metals, and the information tag is still on it. This truck is very nice and has seen little use. I am absolutely certain the mileage is original. It is just way too nice and tight for the odometer to have rolled over. Mileage now is 13,696. The truck was most likely garaged most of it's life and like most fire trucks, saw little use. It was certified as recently as 2004 as an emergency vehicle and the sticker is still in the window. It spent a good portion of it's time in Texas. This truck is a rare dodge collectible and it's very difficult to find a power wagon from this era that is this nice. It would be great to use, or just drive for fun or put in parades. I'm sure it would have a crowd around it in car shows also. Here are all the details and specifics on the on the dodge. It runs excellent and has absolutely no rust. This truck would be great for a toy and possibly use it for wildfire suppression or whatever you desire.

MECHANICAL
This dodge is a 1-ton 4x4 dually. It has a 318 V-8 which I'm sure is original and looks completely original. It starts and runs excellent. No major leaks. Has the normal seepage of a '75 V-8. Pretty clean compared too most though. Runs cool. All gauges work and has an aftermarket 70's era tachometer that works and also an auxillary voltmeter that works. There is a master switch on this that cuts off all power to everything. I suppose many emergency vehicles use these just in case somebody leaves something on or there is a battery drain. Shutoff works fine. The dodge starts up perfectly and automatic choke works as it should. Transmission is a 4-speed. 4x4 works as it should. Tires are brand new. Rear are buckshot mudder 265/85r16 radials. Fronts are super swamper 33x12.50x16 radials. The tires still have the little knobbies on them. I would personally put buckshots in the front so they all match, but also because they are narrower than the superswampers. The truck drives fine, but when you have 12" wide tires in the front and dually mudders in the rear, it does not drive as good as if it had 235/85r16's all around. It looks SO much cooler though with the mudders on it. The wide mud tires wander a little but it still drives fine. I have another set of new rims for the front (they match the rears) that I will include instead of the wheels/swampers on the front. They are a better size to work on the front if you put matching buckshots on this to match the rear tires. I have some tires I can mount on them for shipping. The frontend is tight and has no problems. Steering is tight with no slack. Shocks and steering stabilizer look newer and are performance models. Wheels are newer. Inside rear dually wheels are not aluminum. It doesn't matter really, as you cannot see them, I just wanted to add that so there are no suprises. Exhaust newer duals that exit under the bed. The truck has PS and PB, but no air. 4x4 works as it should. Hubs look to be newer HD selectro units. Engine has sufficient power but this truck is heavy. It's not going to win any races. Has a 2-barrel on it. Gearing feels to be 4:11's approximately. Drives down the road fine. Clutch works as it should with no slippage or bearing noise. The truck has a safety rod that will lock it in neutral while using the pump. Parking brake works also. Rearend is a dana 70, frontend is a dana 60. I'm not a differential expert but they are stamped and pretty sure that's accurate. There is an exhaust leak on the passenger side that sounds like the donut where the exhaust bolts to the manifold. I should get around to checking that out and potentially fixing it before the auction is over. This has front disc brakes. The fire truck has many expensive fire truck/emergency vehicle accessories on it. The pump unit on the front is driven buy the engine. It is a hale unit. I'm sure it works, but I do not know how to use fire equipment so I didn't test it. The previous owner said all the fire stuff worked. A cover is included for the pump and is pictured. This truck also has a scotty brand foam eductor/mixer model #4071. I was told it worked also. Many hoses are included and the original hose reel in the rear looks in nice shape. I'm not sure the size of the water tank but I'm guessing 300 gallons because that's what most minipumpers this size have. Better built toolbox on the side is new. Other side boxes are all in nice shape. Many keys for the boxes were included but I haven't tried them all to make sure they are all there. Previous owner said they were. Two sets of keys for the truck itself. All lights, strobe light, siren, radios, do work. This has pulsing emergency headlights that work, and the reverse alarm works also. This has two different style of emergency radios. One primarily runs the siren stuff and one is a new emergency FM transmitter radio. I know little about emergency radio stuff but they appear to work. The book is included for the newer one. I'll take pictures of them for you to see what they are for yourself. The stereo is a new JVC deck with new infinity speakers and tweeters in the door. It sounds really nice. Metal that was cut out for the speakers is included. Everything on the truck works. Actually, there are some added electrical outlets in the rear window you can see. I don't know if they are wired to an inverter somewhere. That's what I would assume, but I have not tried them and don't see an inverter.

BODY
The body on this dodge is exceptional and rust free. There are no dents and the paint is in nice shape. The paint isn't perfect but you can see from the pics that it is very nice and looks great. There used to be a "24" on the passenger door also that was removed. There are small scratches there but it's not real noticeable. If you got a couple decals (business name or?) it would cover it. You could just get another 24 to match the drivers side and put back on. The 24 on the drivers side is paint and you can get it off without damaging the paint but it takes an experienced paint/detail person to do it without hurting the red. The doors and hood shut nicely on this dodge. It is tight, which is not usually the case for dodge pickups of this era. This truck has been babied and not hammered on rough roads and abused. Glass is all nice. I believe the truck was originally black, but painted red in '77 when it was built into a fire truck. The paint is nice quality and has no runs or orangepeel that I could find. Interior paint is black. At one point one of the tool doors on the drivers side was painted and not matched back well (or it faded). I'm sure it could be repainted to match better. Not that noticeable though.
INTERIOR
The interior is as nice as the rest of the truck. Dash is very nice with no cracks. Seat is nice with no rips. Floormat is original and nice. Stereo is nice, new, and sounds great. Interior and dash lights all work. Seat springs feel like new. All gauges work.

While Jeep has created a number of vintage-bodied custom vehicles with modern components, this year's SEMA show plays host to Dodge's take on the idea. The Shakedown concept began life as a 1971 Challenger and ditched almost everything in it, including the engine and chassis. What's left is a modern car with a retro look. The chassis was a particularly complicated part of the job, since the Challenger was originally a unibody car. However, Dodge chose to separate the Challenger's iconic body from its structural parts, and moved it onto a custom, one-off chassis from which the body can be removed as needed. The chassis also carries lowered suspension, Challenger Hellcat brakes, and a 6.4-liter 392 Hemi V8 connected to a six-speed manual transmission from the Viper. Dodge also installed the engine using the new Hemi engine swap kit from Mopar. With the shaker cold-air intake and custom exhaust, the Shakedown's powerplant makes 485 horsepower. View 13 Photos The body itself received plenty of tweaking as well. Dodge shaved off the drip rails, door handles, and turn signals for a cleaner look, and also fitted the grille, headlights, and taillights from a 2017 Challenger. The whole thing is finished in matte black paint with a "vibrating" stripe offset on the left side. The Shakedown also gets 20-inch Slingshot rear wheels and a pair of custom 19-inch versions for the front. On each fender is a bright red "392" decal that uses the same font as the labels on classic Mopars 360 cubic-inch V8s. Inside, the Shakedown gets the same radical upgrade as the chassis. Two Viper seats accompany a Viper steering wheel, and the rear seats are gone altogether. The Viper gearbox is shifted with a Challenger Hellcat gear knob, and carbon-fiber accents and leather adorn the wheel, door panels, instrument panel and center console. Obtaining credentials for an auto show is generally a pretty selective process, especially at one of the world's premier shows, like Geneva, Los Angeles or Detroit. That didn't stop online prankster Dennis Roady from getting credentialed for the 2015 North American International Auto Show on behalf of a Russian YouTube channel to cover the show. While he wasn't brought on strictly to cause mischief, Roady couldn't help but have some fun at the expense of the product specialists during the serious business of covering the show. He took to an app called "Dude, Your Car," which allows Apple iPhone users to take snaps of vehicles and then edit them to add some serious, but fake, dents and scratches. Naturally, the pranking session was caught on video, where you can enjoy the sight of poor product specialists freaking out over damage to vehicles ranging from the Mercedes-Maybach S600 to the Audi R8 and a lovely Dodge Challenger. Take a look. News Source: howtoPRANKitup via YouTube, The Detroit News Humor Detroit Auto Show Audi Dodge Mercedes-Benz Coupe Luxury Performance Videos Sedan 2015 Detroit Auto Show prank

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced that it's looking into Chrysler Group's handling of a pair of recalls affecting roughly one million Ram pickup trucks. Reuters is reporting that the regulatory agency is focusing on the availability (or lack thereof) of parts and "poor communications" from the automaker in its investigation. "Customers have been advised in accordance with the regulations governing recalls," Chrysler spokesman Eric Mayne told Reuters via email. "We are continually replenishing our supply of replacement parts. Chrysler Group regrets any inconvenience our customers may have experienced." NHTSA disagrees, arguing that the recalls, which affect 972,000 trucks from 2003 to 2012, are being delayed by the lack of parts.
