Wilmington, North Carolina, United States
If you have any questions, please ASK before bidding.
This truck is in great shape and is ready to go! She has been well cared for. Really hate to part with it, but the wife says sell it. All original. There are a few imperfections here or there, but overall she's an absolute beauty. Original interior. There is a small paint stain on the passenger side and a small burn hole on the drivers side. ...(see pictures) New paint job last year. Transmission runs great. She has a lot of power. Shifts flawlessly. This truck has the highly desirable 8 foot bed, which is Rhino Lined. Here are the things that need some attention/TLC: The electric door lock on the driver's side just stopped working. Could be just a lose wire. No problem with the passenger side. The radio is the factory installed radio from 1988 including the speakers. There is nothing wrong with the radio. It picks up stations well, however, the speaker on the passenger side works when it feels like it and the tape deck doesn't work. These are really just cosmetic issues. Mechanically speaking, this truck is sound and could be driven to California and back. She will pass any mechanic's inspection. Hood latch release cable replaced 9/2011 Brake line replaced 6/13 Spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, fuel hoses and filter all replaced 6/13 Power window motors replaced (both sides) 6/13 Brakes replaced 5/14 Leaf springs and coil springs replaced 6/14 Fluids checked/changed every 3 months. Not to many of these around anymore, especially this good of shape. All questiones will be answered promptly. I DO NOT accept paypal. Non-Refundable Deposit of $500.00 is due within 72hrs of auction close. |

Chevy Corvette Stingray defeating rivals where it matters most
Wed, 16 Jul 2014Everything is coming up roses for the award-winning Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, as new data from the North American Dealers Association dissected by GM Authority reveals that America's sports car is handily outselling two of its more expensive rivals.
Through June of 2014, the NADA notes that the Corvette has rung up 17,744 sales, handily besting the Porsche 911 and positively spanking the SRT Viper. Of course, you're sitting there thinking, "Corvette is outselling the much more expensive Porsche and Viper. Sky blue, water wet." But what's impressive here is just how thoroughly the Chevrolet is beating its two rivals, with this data serving as a testament to just how popular the seventh-generation sports car has become.
So far this year, Porsche has managed to move 5,169 911s, according to NADA. Considering that the base model starts at nearly $15,000 more than the most heavily optioned Stingray, and that Porsche owners have a vast, expensive options catalogue to select from, Stuttgart's sales are still plenty impressive in relation to the nearly 18,000 Corvettes sold.

Dodge Charger to slim down and run turbo four in next generation
Tue, May 31 2016The current Dodge Charger is getting long in the tooth. It was originally introduced in 2005 as a 2006 model. In car terms, that's an eternity, though it's been refreshed twice. Still, FCA US will keep the LX-generation car going, reportedly facelifting it one last time for 2019. After that, there are some bigger changes in store . Automotive News is reporting that the follower to the current LX Charger will lose almost 500 pounds and will once again offer a turbo four-cylinder. You might remember the front-wheel-drive four-banger Charger of the early '80s. The recharged sedan will be twin-turbo and it's going to use the 300-horsepower four-cylinder engine currently under development for the 2018 Jeep Wrangler, AN says. The target weight for the future car is around 3,500 lbs, while the current car has a curb weight of nearly 4,000 lbs. Look for it to arrive in the early 2020s. The new platform will have a touch of Italian flair instead of the Daimler-Benz flavor embedded deep inside the LX cars. It will be built on an extended version of the 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia's "Giorgio" platform, according to AN. Dealers were already shown a styling-buck almost a year ago.
