This is an extremely rare, and albeit extremely rough, 1959 Dodge Sweptside D-100 pickup. My father purchased it in 1971 to use as a parts truck for his 1958 Dodge D-100 Stepside. I am including BOTH vehicles in this auction. The title for the '58 is clearly in my father's name. The title for the '59 is in hand but was never transferred. The Sweptside was only produced 1957-1959 with the total production in 1959 estimated to be less than 100! The last estimate I've seen is there are probably less than 30 left in existance! I have included photos of both trucks as well as two pictures of a restored 1959. The drivetrain is no longer in the '59. The winner is to send a NON-REFUNDABLE $500 deposit via PayPal within 48 hours of auction end. The remainder will be due at time of pickup. The winner will have 30 days to remove the trucks or the deposit will be forefit and the trucks relisted. The buyer will be responsible for arranging the shipping. I will be glad to make any and all reasonable accomidations to facilitate transport. Please feel free to ask any questions PRIOR to bidding. If your feedback rating is less than 10 please contact prior to bidding.

Chrysler recalls AWD 300, Charger, Ram 1500 over ZF transmission
Tue, 24 Dec 2013What do the Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger and Ram 1500 all have in common? Yes, they're all Chrysler products, and two of them are based on the same platform. And we're sure you could find more similarities between them all, but the common trait we're looking at here is that, while they all come standard in rear-drive form, they're also available with all-wheel drive. And it's the transmission in those models that's the subject of the latest recall notice issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The output shaft on the eight-speed automatic transmission supplied by ZF to Chrysler for the AWD versions of the 300, Charger and Ram 1500 is apparently prone to fracture. That in the end could leave the vehicle without power and could, according to the NHTSA investigation, increase the chance of a crash. The vehicle could also roll away if even if left in Park without the handbrake applied.
That's why Chrysler is calling in 4,194 examples of those three models from the 2013 model year. Dealers will be responsible for inspecting the transmissions and, where necessary, replace the entire unit. See the full recall notice below for all the details.
2015 Dodge Charger Pursuit is ready to serve and protect
Fri, 08 Aug 2014Okay speed freaks, it's time to update your cheat sheet of police headlights, as Dodge has just unveiled the new 2015 Charger sedan's police variant, the Pursuit.
Like previous Charger Pursuits, the 2015 model is based on a modified version of the civilian sedan, featuring the same basic batch of mechanicals and sheetmetal, while adding a number of items specific to the five-oh.
For 2015, cops can select from the same 3.6-ltier V6 and 5.7-liter Hemi V8 available to the civilian population, with former turning out 292 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque and the latter packing 370 ponies and 390 lb-ft. Even loaded down with equipment, Dodge claims the Hemi-powered cop car can hit 60 miles per hour in under six seconds, while both engines are expected return 26 miles per gallon on the highway (thanks to the V8's four-cylinder mode). Rear-wheel drive is standard with both engines, while V8 Pursuits can be fitted with all-wheel drive.
