This is a truck you will not find everyday! Nice straight (just look at the bed) D100 SE Sweptline (2 wheel drive), runs and drives great. Highly optioned SE, TWO TONE PAINT, PS, PB, A/C, AM/FM, IN DASH CLOCK, BUCKET SEATS W/FOLD DOWN ARM REST, CARPET DOOR PANELS, SLIDING BACK GLASS, DUAL MIRRORS, 360 MOTOR, AUTO TRANS, CRUISE CONTROL. The only options it doesn't have is a 440, sun roof, and tach. The chrome trim on this truck is very nice. Mileage unknown?

NEW THIS SUMMER: SET OF TIRES, SHOCKS, BRAKE HOSE'S, ALTERNATOR, MOTOR MOUNTS, OIL PAN GASKET AND OIL PUMP, VOLT REG, ECU, ACCEL COIL, HOLLEY 600, EDELBROCK INTAKE, DOOR WINDOW CAT WHISKERS, WINDSHEILD, TAIL LIGHT LENS, etc, etc, $$$!

It's wired for trailer brakes, and has a 2" receiver hitch. The brakes, gauges, radio, heater, clock, lights, and wiper motor work. The body is straight, again the trim is very nice! I can't find any signs of frame or body damage from an accident, the paint is a old repaint, and not real good on hood and fender tops, its the same colors as OEM. There is some primer showing on top of doors and tail gate is peeling at the top. There is rust in the bottom of the pass door, (whiskers were worn out on pass window), bottom of tail gate, and small holes in pass floor (still solid), probably from a old leaking heater core. The frame is nice with only surface rust, the motor is not a matching number, it's a 1978 model 360, the 727 trans has been rebuilt, it shifts great. The rear is a 8 1/4 open, with new 90w, and is quite, with 3.23's gears. The A/C isn't working, it's all there, compressor starts but it has a leak in the system. The cruise control has a bad rubber diaphragm. The interior looks like OEM materials, even the carpet, dash looks very nice, no cracks in the pad, the drivers seat bottom is ripped. The roof had a visor mounted on top, the same color as the roof, that will go with the truck. Also looks like a horn or something was mounted on the roof at one time, the bolts are still there, see pics.

It has the wrong year hood and cowl panel (1979 and up), I have a correct 72-78 NOS hood and used cowl panel that go with the truck. Drive it home, the only problem might be the wiper arms, they don't fit very well on the posts, due to the difference in height of the incorrect cowl panel. I could install the 1977 cowl (unpainted) if its a long drive. A set of chrome beds rails will go with the truck, along with the 2bbl carb, intake, roof visor, and a few other spare parts. Located in central AR. You will need to arrange your own shipping, I could pick you up at Little Rock airport if needed. Prefer COD!!

THE CENTER CAPS, TRIM RINGS, AND BED COVER, ARE NOT PART OF THIS SALE, THEY DO NOT GO WITH THE TRUCK. The caps and rings are on loan from a friend, and the bed cover is off a late model Ram and really doesn't fit correctly. I do have a set of spinners center caps and trims rings that came with the truck, I will put them back on the wheels when it sells.

Questions call me Greg 501-743-2627, if you need pictures let me know.

For Sale local, I reserve the right to end without notice.

I've had some questions about the history of the truck, I bought the truck in Feb of this year, in Miss. about an hour from Memphis. The guy I got it from said it was a local truck, but he didn't know how long it was in that area, that's all I know about it.

Common Dodge Ram 1500 vs. Chevrolet Silverado breakdowns

Wed, May 4 2016

These two trucks are famous for their ability to get the job done. Still, even the toughest vehicle can have mechanical problems at some time. What if we match the Dodge Ram 1500 and Chevrolet Silverado head to head? Let's find out more about common repairs for each model. Also, learn some tricks to pay for car repairs. Clunky Steering Both Dodge and the Chevy owners sometimes notice bumping and clunking when steering. This might be more noticeable when driving over bumps. The cause is usually different in each truck though. In the Dodge Ram, clunky steering is more likely due to a defective lower ball joint. Replacement costs around $300 - $400, parts and labor. Clunky Chevy Silverado steering is probably a steering rack failure. This problem appears more often in trucks with over 90,000 miles. Silverado steering rack repair will run you up to $1,000 or more. Starting Woes For the Chevy Silverado with over 130,000 miles, you might notice trouble starting. This problem may appear occasionally at first, but it typically gets worse. Excluding a weak battery, the culprit is usually the starter. Replacement will cost you around $330 - $500. Of the total cost, $90 is for labor only. Now the Dodge Ram might make a ticking sound when starting, especially on models with over 94,500 miles. The noise often disappears after the engine warms up. These symptoms may indicate a broken exhaust manifold. Repair costs range from $800 - $900. Burning Oil & Gas Gauge On The Blink Sometimes, the Dodge Ram burns oil much faster than normal. In models with over 125,000 miles, this often points towards a leaky intake manifold gasket. A knocking sound may also appear with acceleration along with possible engine misfire. The cost to repair is around $200 - $300. The Chevy Silverado has its own surprises, especially when you've filled the gas tank but the gauge still reads low. Or the needle fluctuates widely from low to full while driving. In trucks with over 120,000 miles, it's likely due to a faulty fuel sensor. You might need a full fuel pump replacement, which can cost you up to $820, parts and labor. Water Inside And Poor Heat The Ram 1500 rear window has been known to leak. You might notice the back seat and floor wet after a rainstorm. This is more common in trucks with over 65,000 miles. Resealing the Ram 1500 rear window costs around $150 - $250.

Big rig gets blown over on Wyoming freeway, flattens police cruiser

Sun, Feb 12 2017

A big rig navigating a stretch of windy Wyoming highway last week was blown over by high winds and landed on a Wyoming Highway Patrol cruiser. According to CBS News, three Wyoming Highway Patrol troopers responded to an accident along Interstate 80 near Elk Mountain on February 7. While the troopers were out of their cars assisting the crash victims, a white Volvo semi-truck lumbered up I-80 toward them. Wind gusts in that part of Wyoming were clocked in at up to 90 miles per hour on Tuesday, and one of them caught the semi as it neared the parked cruisers. Video from one of the cruiser's onboard cameras showed the big rig drift to the right as a big gust hit the trailer. Slowly, the whole rig tipped over and flattened one of the parked cruisers. The truck then slid a few feet on its side and came to a stop just aft of the cruiser. None of the troopers were injured in the incident, and two people in the truck came out of it unhurt as well. Patrol Lieutenant David Wagener told KGWN that that stretch of I-80 was closed on Tuesday to lightweight, high-profile vehicles. The truck driver was cited for the incident. High winds are no joke, and vehicles getting blown around or even clean off the road is a pretty common phenomenon. Way back in 2011, a truck got blown over in Utah. Then there was a train that got blown off a bridge in Louisiana in 2015. MotorWeek relives '80s coupes with Dodge Daytona, Ford Escort EXP

Thu, Aug 6 2015

Get ready for a wave of nostalgia and the rapid realization of the huge progress in performance cars over the last 30 years. For its latest Retro Review, MotorWeek takes a look back at two, front-wheel drive coupes from the '80s that seem to have entirely vanished from the roads today. Both the 1986 Dodge Daytona CS and the 1986.5 Ford Escort EXP were considered affordable, sporty options in their day, but the passage of time hasn't been kind to either of their specs. The Daytona certainly looks the part of a performance machine with a body that's reminiscent of other '80s coupes, like the third-gen Chevrolet Camaro. However with 146 horsepower and 170 pound-feet of torque from a 2.2-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, acceleration wasn't exactly a strong suit. MotorWeek complained about copious torque steer, as well. The optional CS suspension upgrade package on this Daytona was apparently a nod to Carroll Shelby who was working with Dodge at the time. If anything, the Escort EXP withstands the test of time even worse. As a two-seat coupe, you might have expected Ford's engineers to really turn up the performance to fit the sporty image that the exterior conveyed. That didn't really happen, and depending on which model buyers ordered, they got either 86 horsepower with a 1.9-liter engine or the "high-output" version of that mill with 108 hp.
