Barn Find    Look !!!

Buyers this is the real thing,  this truck was purchased off the showroom floor in Mayberry North Carolina and owned by the original owner in South Carolina and the original Mayberry dealer decal is still on bumper.  Yes the mileage is 59,000 miles but I have no way to guarantee this but it looks like its correct. and the truck looks brand new. The owner was a Highway Patrolman and the truck was kept in his barn for years and he drove it only once and a while.  ,  Unfortuanetly he has passed away now and his wife sold it to me. This is a beutiful truck and everything is in great condition and original, and you can drive it away.  It has cold air conditioning,  power steering,  The only thing I see wrong is when you reach 40-45 mph the front end shakes I believe its the tires because they are dry rotted some but I dont know, but still in good shape, also the exhaust is broke loose on bottom of the upright tail pipe.  It just needs welded. Both upright tailpipes are in perfect shape  NO RUST   I bought this truck to keep and now I cant. I sold my building I was storing it in.  I will answer any questions you have and you can see how clean and original it is in the pictures even the interior is almost worn free. This truck will make someone a colletor item. Original Engine dosent smoke runs excellent transmission shifts right,   rear end quiet,  brakes good.  Look at motor pictures no oil leaks also all the wood is in great shape. All this truck needs is some TLC small maintenance. You will be proud and if you want to look before you buy call me anytime Im puting a very low reserve but of course its sold AS IS no Warrantys  because of its age again any questions call me  STEVE  803-518-7252   Buyer must pay all shipping but seller will help loading if needed at no charge.

Dodge CEO and Gas Monkey Garage dissect the 10-second Challenger Hellcat

Fri, 11 Jul 2014

So far, whenever we've seen the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT with its 707-horsepower, supercharged Hellcat V8, the muscle car has been smoking its tires. Dodge is finally proving that the SRT can do more than ruin perfectly good sets of rubber, though. In it's latest video, company CEO Tim Kuniskis hands the Hellcat off to the guys from Gas Monkey Garage to show how quickly the automaker's most powerful model can make it down the drag strip.
Of course, the only fitting contender to race against Dodge's latest top muscle car is its grandpa - a Hemi-powered 1971 Challenger, in this case. Before getting to the main event, the hosts also show off some of the SRT's unique features like the blanks in the grille that feed the intercoolers. We'll go ahead and spoil that the Hellcat makes its pass in the 10-second range, and the video admits the tires on the production version would take just a touch longer to cover the quarter-mile. However, you have to watch film to see just how quick it actually goes. Scroll down to see a classic example of American muscle drag racing against its modern legacy.

Roadkill pits every project car against each other

Sat, 22 Feb 2014

The guys behind Motor Trend's monthly Roadkill series have collected nine of their favorite project cars from their videos and pitted them against each other in a battle royale to determine a winner. It's 44 minutes long, but it's completely worth the investment of time.
The cars run the gamut from a 1973 Chevrolet Ramp Truck, a 1975 AMC Pacer and a legitimately impressive 1967 Chevy Camaro, and they are pitted against each other to see which is the fastest around an autocross course. The drivers include Roadkill's two hosts and Motor Trend's Johnny Lieberman and Carlos Lago. It's reminiscent of the best episodes of Top Gear and worth a watch.
So it's the weekend - the perfect time to relax. Grab your preferred beverage, get comfortable and enjoy 44 minutes of some seriously ratty but utterly cool project cars as they are throttled within an inch of their lives (or past it). Scroll down to check out the video.

How fracking is causing Chrysler minivans to sit on Detroit's riverfront

Fri, 25 Apr 2014

It's fascinating the way that one change to a complex system can have all sorts of unintended consequences. For instance, there are hundreds of new Chrysler Town and County and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans built in Windsor, Ontario, sitting in lots on the Detroit waterfront because of the energy boom in the Bakken oil field in the northern US and parts of Canada.
The huge amount of crude oil coming from these sites mostly use freight trains for transport, and that supply boom has resulted in a shortage of railcars to carry other goods. According to The Windsor Star, North American crude oil transport by train has gone from 9,500 carloads in 2008 to 434,032 carloads in 2013. Making matters worse, some North American rail infrastructure is still damaged because of this year's harsh winter, and that's slowing things down even further.
Chrysler admits to The Star that it has had some delivery delays due to the freight train shortage. In the meantime, it's using more trucks to deliver its vehicles. Trucking is a far less economical solution, partially because a train can carry so many more units at one time, but alternatives are slim. The Windsor plant alone has a deal for 33 trucks to distribute the minivans around Canada and the Midwestern US.
