Rare is an understatement for this truck. If you're into 70s Dodge Adult Toys.
You may have seen the Warlock's West Coast cousin the True Spirit.

Bucket Seats, Gold pinstriping, factory chrome slot wheels, with wide
Goodyears,  Tuff steering wheel, Bright mirrors and bumpers,

This is in the one year only Sunfire Metallic Black, and is an original
D code 440 4bbl.

If you're going to restore a truck why not have something unique and crazy fast
when you get done. A 1977 True Spirit 2WD uteline with a factory 440 4bbl all in black.

This is an original one owner Southern California truck purchased new at Anaheim
Dodge. It comes with a nice file of original paperwork including the original
build sheet from Warren truck, The original schedule notice, with options,
the original sales contract from May of 1977. It has it's original radiator core
support tag (in poor condition) door vin tag and matching cert label.

It received Dealer add on Air conditioning, an AM/FM radio, a Tach and cruise
control before customer delivery, all as per the original sales contract. The dealer
got $6681 and it was financed at an APR of 13.22% OUCH!

Total miles are not documented, the motor was rebuilt or replaced at some point.
It is missing the original Carb/intake/exhaust and whatever else is not shown
in the pictures. It runs and drives, but needs and deserves total restoration.

The body has the nicest floors I have ever seen but still has some moisture
rust thru in the rear cab corners, the front of the roof, the top of the front left fender
and the doglegs of both. The drivers door needs to be replaced. Most of
what is shown is surface rust or the original red oxide primer. Some of the
roof was rattle canned to prevent rust.

The motor sounds tired, but has decent oil pressure, the tranny is slow to engage, the brakes are soft. The tach
radio, gas gauge, and speedo do not work. The air and some of the lights do not
works, window mechs are froze or broke.

The original owner installed stiffer coils and additional leafs. It's very stiff.
The front wheels are 15/7s rears are 8s they need rechrome.
tires are old.

The whole thing needs your time and Love.

It is sold AS IS in Minden, Nevada 89423 and must be paid in full in 5 days and picked up
within 30 days of auction close.

The Title is signed off from the original owner. I can also give you a bill of sale from me.
They wont match, and that is a problem for Canada and some states. Check your
local requirements. For a California buyer, there may also be Non op or other
fees required, they are the buyer's responsibility.

No Reserve. It goes to the High Bidder.

Cars.com runs 11-second quarter with Dodge Charger Hellcat

Mon, Jun 1 2015

The Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat and its Challenger sibling are two of the heroes of the modern performance world. With a headline-grabbing 707 horsepower from a supercharged 6.2-liter V8, their output even shames many supercars. But how quick can one really cover a quarter mile? Cars.com recently decided to find out by taking a Charger Hellcat to the drag strip to see if the sedan lived up to Dodge's 11-second claims. The results were quite impressive. After 13 quarter-mile runs of adjusting variables like the tire pressures and the car's various electronic aids, the Charger Hellcat managed a pass in 11.03 seconds at 126.61 mph – the pinnacle result of the day. This car was mechanically stock and wore the optional Pirelli P Zero tires. According to Cars.com, other quick sprints reached 11.09 seconds and 11.1 seconds, which even beat the site's 11.41-second best from a Challenger Hellcat last year. Getting the Hellcat's prodigious power down without losing traction was a challenge, even on the summer tires. Cars.com thought it had a run that could have dropped below 11 seconds, but then the wheels spun. Using the factory-recommended pressures, the Charger Hellcat was no still slouch with an 11.27-second time recorded, but taking things down to 25 psi proved the quickest at the strip. We already knew that the Charger Hellcat was a wonderful vehicle for eating up huge gulps of asphalt at high speeds and could verify its 204-mile-per-hour top speed (quite a bit faster, incidentally, than the Ferrari California T's 196 mph top-speed). Apparently, the 11-second quarter-mile claim is just as accurate. Also, for any curious owners, the Cars.com story divulges many of the tweaks required to reach this seriously quick time. FCA recalling 63k Jeeps, Vipers and Ram ProMaster City vans

Thu, Apr 23 2015

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has announced a pair of recalls cover nearly 63,000 vehicles. The bigger of the two actions covers manual-transmission-equipped vehicles from 2006, including the Jeep Liberty and Wrangler, as well as the Dodge Viper. FCA engineers uncovered that the clutch ignition interlock switches use a kind of wire that was part of a previous recall campaign. Because of this, the company said that affected vehicles may not start, although in rare cases, "if recommended starting procedures are not followed," the affected vehicles may lurch forward after turning the key. Those recommended starting procedures "include activating the parking brake, placing the shift lever in neutral and pressing the clutch pedal before turning the vehicle's ignition key." Recall number two affects the company's 2015 Ram ProMaster City cargo and passenger vans. Owners will need to report to dealers to have a piece of tape removed from the side-curtain airbags. The tape is added during assembly and in some cases, may not have been removed. That could prevent the airbags from deploying in the event of a crash. Just under 59,000 vehicles are included in the first recall, including 43,874 in the United States, 11,309 outside of North America, 2,944 in Canada and 706 in Mexico. The ProMaster City recall includes just over 3,900 vehicles. FCA claims it's unaware of any injuries, fatalities or accidents related to either recall and will perform repairs free of charge. Scroll down for the official press release on both campaigns. Related Video: Statement: Clutch Ignition Interlock Switch April 23, 2015 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - FCA US LLC is launching a voluntary recall of an estimated 43,874 older-model U.S.-market cars and SUVs equipped with manual transmissions. The Company will replace their clutch ignition interlock switches at no charge to customers. The action follows an investigation by FCA US engineers that discovered these vehicles are equipped with switches that contain a certain type of wire implicated in a previous campaign. The wire, which was temporarily substituted by a supplier for the specified material, may break. As a result, the vehicles may not start, and in rare cases – if recommended starting procedures are not followed – a vehicle may exhibit unintended movement when its ignition key is turned. FCA US is unaware of aware of any related injuries or accidents involving this population of vehicles.

How Dodge dealers are earning the right to sell Hellcats

Wed, 10 Sep 2014

We all hate the idea of the dreaded dealer markup when it comes to buying a highly anticipated new car. Take the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, for example. You might spend hours reading about its supercharged V8 and speccing the model just right in the configurator, but when it finally comes down to laying down the cash, the dealer adds thousands of dollars as a "market adjustment" on the muscle machine of your dreams. As it turns out, when the Hellcat starts hitting showrooms in the third quarter, Dodge is trying to make sure that's not the case.
Dealer orders for the much-hyped Hellcat recently started, but Dodge boss Tim Kuniskis has put some special caveats in place to ensure that the Hellcat makes it to the road quickly. The initial allocation is based on the number of Dodge products that a showroom has sold in the last 180 days, and a second allotment in December is based on the last 90 days of sales and 30-day turnover. "You sell a lot of Darts for me, Journeys for me, Durangos for me, I'm going to give you the rights to this one, too, because this is a halo of the brand," said Kuniskis to Automotive News.
Furthermore, how quickly the Hellcat sells is also going to decide whether showrooms get more of them. "If you want to market-adjust the car, that's your right. But if your days-on-lot goes above what the other guys that are selling them at MSRP is, they will end up earning the allocation because their days-on-lot will be lower," he said to Automotive News. Obviously, this doesn't prevent dealers from marking up the Challenger SRT, but the strategy certainly discourages it.
