The interior seats are fairly new. The engine; the 440 Mopar engine is in good condition. It ran up until I parked it 3 years ago. I drained the tank and got it started recently, but the carb needs to be cleaned, may need timing, and a tune up all around."

For Sale is a 1970 Dodge D200 truck with a Mopar 440 under the hood.  The truck was bought about 5 years ago as a project for my son.  We never got around to it, and now it needs a new home.  The truck was parked about 2 years ago and has sat dormant since then. I have not drove it but I did drain the gas tank and fuel lines and got it to fire up yesterday.  It absolutely runs but needs the carb cleaned, etc. before it is road ready.  It is a NM truck so there is very little rust, in fact the body is in great shape for its age.  The truck is 2 wheel drive and has an automatic transmission.  I bought the vehicle from a mechanic shop owner who was building it for his son, but the truck was to much for his 15 yr. old so he sold it to me.  The truck is an absolute beast.  The seats have fairly new upholstery to match the truck.

Motor:  I don't know much, I didn't build it but from what the mechanic that built it said he spared no expense and built one nasty 440.  I agree.  The truck is fast.  It has a Holley 4 barrel, headers, new ignition, all the mopar covers, it does have power steering, belts probably need to be changed are all still working, no fluid leaks I know of............. please email me with specific questions and I will get back to you.

The truck is a collectors piece and has one hell of a motor.  There are not many of this body style left, much less in this good of condition.  The truck will make someone a great project.  You should see peoples faces when I pop the hood!  Everybody's jaw drops.  People were always stopping me to try and buy it but I held on to it.  When I was moving it the other day I had a guy stop and ask if I would consider putting it in a local Mopar show.  I just don't have time to do anything with it.  Now I need to sell it; as sometimes life just happens.

Happy Bidding!  And congratulations to the winner, this is an awesome truck.

Dodge Scat Pack for 5.7L Hemi V8 detailed, priced

Sat, 05 Apr 2014

Dodge revived the Scat Pack name back in November at the 2013 SEMA show. At the time, though, we were short of details on forthcoming upgrade packages, which were destined to add some oomph to the Challenger, Charger and Dart. We're still waiting to hear about the upgrades to the Dart's 2.4-liter four-pot, but Dodge has gone ahead and released the details on the upgrades to the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 in the Challenger and Charger R/T.
As we detailed in our original post, three different Scat Packs will be available that will allow customers to upgrade their cars without voiding the warranties. Starting with the $2,195 Stage 1 kit, owners will net an extra 18 horsepower and 18 pound-feet of torque thanks to a Mopar-branded cold-air intake, exhaust and ECU ref lash. Stage 1 is also the only package that could be installed outside of a Chrysler-authorized service center without voiding the warranty (a mechanically competent owner could even do it at home, we're told by Dodge). Stage 2 builds on the entry level Scat Pack, and adds performance camshaft kit, which boosts output over the stock 5.7 by up to 30 hp for $1,895. As with the Stage 1, the ECU is tweaked.
For those that want to go whole hog, they can add the Stage 3 for $4,995. The top-tier gets quite serious, adding CNC-ported cylinder heads, as well as high-flow headers and cats. Output over stock is 58 hp and 47 lb-ft of torque. Each kit comes with a pair of badges, just in case owners want a bit of visual flair.

Roadkill pits every project car against each other

Sat, 22 Feb 2014

The guys behind Motor Trend's monthly Roadkill series have collected nine of their favorite project cars from their videos and pitted them against each other in a battle royale to determine a winner. It's 44 minutes long, but it's completely worth the investment of time.
The cars run the gamut from a 1973 Chevrolet Ramp Truck, a 1975 AMC Pacer and a legitimately impressive 1967 Chevy Camaro, and they are pitted against each other to see which is the fastest around an autocross course. The drivers include Roadkill's two hosts and Motor Trend's Johnny Lieberman and Carlos Lago. It's reminiscent of the best episodes of Top Gear and worth a watch.
So it's the weekend - the perfect time to relax. Grab your preferred beverage, get comfortable and enjoy 44 minutes of some seriously ratty but utterly cool project cars as they are throttled within an inch of their lives (or past it). Scroll down to check out the video.

2014 Dodge Durango leaks ahead of NY rollout

Wed, 27 Mar 2013

Even though Chrysler will reportedly discontinue the Dodge Durango after the current model's lifespan - said to be around 2016 - that isn't stopping the automaker from improving its full-size, three-row SUV. The vehicle won't debut at the New York Auto Show until tomorrow, but images are already leaking out ahead of the embargo lift, and they show that the 2014 model is getting even more aggressive styling to go with more technology inside and out.
Dodge limited its early press shots of the new Durango to just the R/T trim level, but this new look adds a meaner look to this model with more dramatic projector-beam headlights along with a "floating" crosshair grille and a restyled fascia. At the rear of the Durango, LED racetrack taillights show a family resemblance to the Charger and Dart, while a new rear fascia adds to the styling while also allowing for an integrated trailer hitch.
On the tech side, the instrument panel looks to have been redesigned to include a standard seven-inch thin-film transistor (TFT) gauge cluster, and it also appears as if Chrysler's well-liked UConnect system has been updated with the 8.4-inch touchscreen found in other Chrysler vehicles. The 2013 model's conventional console shifter has been replaced by a rotary knob for gear selection, suggesting that there are transmission changes afoot as well. We'll have more details when the silks slide off this big boy tomorrow, so stay tuned.
