1968 Dodge D100 Sweptline Short Box Custom Cab Pickup Truck. Absolutely zero rust! Original California car. 318ci engine with automatic trans shifted via the factory dash mounted shifter. Rebuilt heads. MOPAR electronic ignition. Edelbrock intake manifold with Edelbrock carburetor. Rebuilt radiator. Manual steering, brakes, windows and locks. Recently reupholstered period correct Dodge truck bucket seats with fold up/down center console. New Carpet kit, new door seals and window felts (window felts and carpet not yet installed) will be included with the truck. Floor boards replaced with factory repo steel pieces. Stake pockets, fuel filler, and antenna holes smoothed/filled professionally by Carrillo's Auto Body in San Diego. Fuel tank relocated to under the bed between the frame rails. Professional three stage paint applied in the factory colors by Carrillo's Auto Body in Dodge truck white over Mohave yellow. All emblems and front and rear bumpers re-chromed. NOS parts installed include: reverse lights, bumper license plate lamps (chrome), hard to find front turn signal assemblies (clear), gas pedal, window cranks, outside door handles, door locks, and front and rear window rubbers. New BFG T/A tires, 255-60R15 up front, 275-60R15's in the rear mounted on 15 inch American Racing rims. New battery. New AutoMeter ProComp 3" water temp and oil pressure gauges. 2014 Challenger R/T Shaker, Mopar '14 Challenger bring back iconic hood
Tue, 05 Nov 2013Enamored of the Dodge Challenger but wish you could get one with a shaker hood? We've got good news, because Dodge and Mopar have teamed up to bring it back.
The 2014 Dodge Challenger R/T Shaker packs the same 5.7-liter Hemi V8 as the standard Challenger R/T, but upgrades the business end with a through-the-hood exposed cold-air intake system. The retro hood scoop protrudes from the center of the hood in satin black (matching the decklid spoiler) to feed the Hemi and shakes with the engine just like the original from 1970. The Shaker model also comes with a Super Track Pak that adds a new steering rack, brake linings, shocks and 20-inch Goodyear Eagle F1 Super Car rubber. You can also shut off the stability management system completely in this car. A series of interior and exterior trim enhancements round out the look. The whole package adds $2,500 to the price of a Challenger R/T Classic for an all-in MSRP of $36,995.
In case that's not enough, Dodge is also offering a limited-edition Mopar Challenger that follows the 2010 Mopar Challenger, 2011 Mopar Charger, 2012 Mopar 300 and 2013 Mopar Dart. Limited to just 100 examples, the 2014 Mopar Challenger gets the same Shaker hood intake, unique graphics and wheels, an enhanced interior and a long list of optional extras from the Mopar parts catalog. Dodge isn't saying just yet how much the Mopar Challenger will cost, but you can bet it will command a considerable premium for the exclusivity alone.

NHTSA investigating Chrysler for airbags, ignition switches
Wed, 18 Jun 2014Chrysler is being targeted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in a pair of actions that focus on over 1.2 million Jeeps, minivans and crossovers.
The first is a "preliminary investigation" that focuses on an airbag issue afflicting the Jeep Commander built in model years 2006 and 2007 and Grand Cherokee from 2005 to 2006. In total, 700,000 vehicles could potentially be affected. It's not entirely clear what the airbag issue is, with The Detroit Free Press simply stating that the restraint systems in the affected Jeeps may be "faulty."
The other investigation is what's called a "recall query" and it covers a problem that General Motors should be familiar with. In this case, there could be a problem with the ignition switches of 525,000 vehicles, ranging from 2008 to 2010 Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans, to the 2008 to 2010 Dodge Journey crossover. Again, it's not entirely clear what sort of behavior prompted the 32 complaints that NHTSA has received on these vehicles.
