Very nice Arizona Survivor. Former Government Vehicle. Runs, drives, steers and stops. All Original 2WD, including original Front and Rear seats. Has the famous 225 Cu in slant 6 Industrial Motor with 4 speed transmission. Basically a barn find original. Not raised, lowered, modified, hot rodded, cut, chopped, channelled, clipped, smoked in or stripped. U.S. Forest Service insignia still visible on doors. A previous owner has "painted" brown spots on it so as to either create camo or as dings and scratch protection? It is NOT rust. It has floor repair and needs redone. Has a few dents. Has very minimal rust anywhere else. Clear AZ Title in my name. No salvage title, bill of sale, lost title guy here. You can take your chances on people who say "all you have to do is"..... or you can buy one with an actual title that matches the VIN plate, like this truck. Anyone is welcome to come and see it and test it. Original Items include: Emblems, all knobs, handles, seat belts, water washer bag, original wheels, original gas tank (cleaned out), Radiator, horn, carburetor and air cleaner, steering wheel, horn button, bumpers, grill, drive train, sliding side windows, some headliner and side trim. 2015 Dodge Challenger gets 6.4L 485-HP V8 Scat Pack
Thu, 17 Apr 2014While it's not seeing the drastic facelift of its brother, the Charger, at the 2014 New York Auto Show, the 2015 Challenger is packing some upgrades of its own. It wears even more retro-inspired styling cues, and there are new 6.4-liter Scat Pack and Shaker trims.
If you thought the Challenger looked retro before, Dodge is taking things even farther with inspiration for the refresh coming from the iconic 1971 model. Up front, it has a new split grille, a larger power bulge in the hood and projector fog lights. At the rear, the classic inspiration continues with split LED taillights with Gloss Black trim, and a rear valance panel redesigned to make the 2015 model look wider and lower.
The '71 motif is carried inside as well with a high-sill center console and aluminum gauge bezels. There's still more than a touch of modernity, with an available 8.4-inch Uconnect infotainment system and 7-inch customizable display between the retro-inspired speedometer and tachometer. For better safety, the Challenger is also now available with forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross path detection. Stability control and electric power steering are standard across all models too.
2013 Dodge Charger SRT8 Super Bee
Tue, 12 Mar 2013I can pinpoint the exact moment when I fell in love with this car. It was starting down a nearly straight entrance ramp at 15 miles per hour when I buried the throttle. In a moment, I was thrown back into my seat as the big SRT8's engine came to life with commensurate sound, fury and force, bringing me up to 75 mph in what felt like two blinks of an eye. This thing feels so much quicker than its 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque would lead you to believe. And mashing the right pedal never, ever gets old.
But beyond sheer speed, I found a whole lot to like about the Charger SRT8 during my week with the Pitch Black test car here in Detroit. And while the whole Super Bee kit isn't really my style, it's really easy to overlook those badges for a package that offers so much for so little.

Thieves still love older Hondas and pickups most, says NICB [w/video]
Wed, 20 Aug 2014No one wants to have their car stolen, but a new study by the National Insurance Crime Bureau has some bad news for older Honda owners and pickup drivers. Fortunately, it has better news for drivers overall. The group is reporting that according to preliminary data from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, thefts were down 3.2 percent in 2013 (versus 2012) to fewer than 700,000 cars. That's the lowest figure since 1967. That's also less than half of the peak of over 1.66 million thefts in 1991. "The drop in thefts is good news for all of us," says NICB President and CEO Joe Wehrle. "But it still amounts to a vehicle being stolen every 45 seconds and losses of over $4 billion a year."
Honda drivers might not find it such good news with older Accord and Civic models topping this year's theft study. Toyota and Dodge can't really celebrate, either, with two models each on the list, as well. Overall, this year's list was split evenly between foreign and domestic models, which were mostly pickups.
The 10 most likely vehicles to be stolen in 2013 were:
