You are looking at a 1952 Dodge B-3-C 116 truck.  The B3 designation indicates model years 1951 and '52m the "C" designates 3/4 ton and the 116 is the wheelbase in inches. This vehicle has the groundbreaking Pilothouse cab which offered the 3 window array in the rear of the cab as well as a higher and wider seating position than other trucks of the time.  The powerplant here is the original 218 ci flathead six used for years by dodge in trucks and cars and known for reliability.

Our truck was manufactured at the plant in San Leandro, California and was originally sold to a Santa Rosa, Ca. business man by Sidlow Motors of San Bruno.  The purchaser used the truck sparingly as a delivery vehicle putting very few miles on it (the odometer reads 19,000 miles plus and the vehicle looks good enough for that mileage to be correct although I can't know for sure).  In the 1970's the truck was purchased by a Bay Area man who pampered and painstakingly restored it.  You can tell that it was his pride and joy.  In late 2010 his widow sold the truck to an Idaho collector/dealer and we purchased it from him in early 2011.

Paint is excellent and is in classic Dodge colors.  Interior completely redone in period correct brown vinyl.  New oak bed beautifully finished.  Undercarriage is spotless and completely painted.  New tires with spare.  Engine compartment spotless and the powerplant purrs.  All glass is good and appears to be original.  This truck is ready to show at a high level which we did at the prestigious Art of the Car Concours at the Kansas City Art Institute here in our area.

There are just a few things that I have not been able to resolve as follows:
Original choke knob is missing.  There is currently a brass knob serving the purpose and the choke works fine.  Haven't been able to find one to replace.
The original instrument cluster is non-functional but intact.  Speedometer and odometer work fine and there is an auxiliary temperature gauge to monitor coolant temp.
I have replaced the sockets for the parking lights as well as the bulbs, but they are not currently working and I haven't had an opportunity to go through the wiring and switch to find the problem.  Headlights work fine.
That's about it.  Otherwise this is an exceptionally fine restored classic pickup.

Sale will include original Service Certificate document, owner's manual, and dealer brochure as pictured.
Will help to coordinate shipping if necessary.
Check my feedback and bid with confidence.
Will answer any questions to the best of my ability.

Dongfeng and PSA extend Chinese joint venture

Thu, Dec 19 2019

BEIJING/PARIS — China's Dongfeng and Peugeot maker PSA are extending their business cooperation, despite the Chinese company reducing its stake in PSA to help smooth the French carmaker's merger with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA). Dongfeng said on Thursday it had agreed with PSA to extend the duration of their joint venture Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobiles (DPCA). Under the deal, the venture could get the rights to PSA's new brands in China and will benefit from new technologies and intellectual properties, the Chinese company said. PSA was not immediately available for comment. The announcement comes a day after the companies said Dongfeng would reduce its 12.2% stake in PSA by selling 30.7 million shares to the French company. Analysts said the move could smooth U.S. regulatory approval for PSA's roughly $50 billion (GBP38.97 billion) merger with Italian-American carmaker FCA. The sale of Dongfeng's shares in PSA, worth around 680 million euros ($757 million), will leave the Chinese group holding around 4.5% of the merged PSA-FCA, which is set to become the world's fourth-biggest carmaker by sales volumes. "As the cooperation between Dongfeng and PSA deepens, we expect the joint venture to continue making good progress in China," a Dongfeng representative said. On a conference call, Dongfeng said DPCA would have exclusive rights to PSA's Opel cars should the partners agree to bring the brand to China, and enjoy lower prices on car parts imported from PSA. Earlier this year, a document seen by Reuters showed Dongfeng and PSA plan to cut jobs at Wuhan-based DPCA and reduce its number of car plants to try to make the venture more profitable. Mopar '13 Dart is a bruiser of a compact

Fri, 08 Feb 2013

For the fourth year in a row, Mopar is offering a limited-production car decked with a plenty of add-ons and a unique look. This year's black-and-blue car is the Mopar '13 Dart, which was unveiled at the Chicago Auto Show with the now-signature paint scheme. Like previous Mopar models, only 500 of the '13 Darts will be built. Past models include the Mopar '10 Challenger, Mopar '11 Charger and the Mopar '12 300.
The all-black Dart gets a brightly contrasting, offset blue stripe running the full length of the car, and other styling mods like the aero-tuned body kit, gloss black grille, wheels and mirror caps. Curiously, Mopar chose to stick with the Dart's standard headlights rather than the darker, smoked lights. The interior gets a similar black-and-blue treatment, but this unique cabin features a blue leather driver's seat to go along with the black leather seating for the rest of the passengers.
More than just a styling package, the Mopar '13 Dart also gets some performance and handling goodies to complement the Dart's turbocharged 1.4-liter engine, such as upgraded brakes with slotted rotors, a lowered suspension, retuned electric power steering and a "sport-tuned" exhaust system.

Dodge offering novel 1-year lease on '14 Challenger and Charger models

Mon, 14 Apr 2014

Dodge is just days away from unveiling refreshed versions of the Charger and Challenger at the 2014 New York Auto Show, models promising updated styling and new powertrain options. Depending on how you look at it, the company is either so confident in its forthcoming 2015 models that it's offering an interesting Double-Up lease deal on the current vehicles, or it's so eager to clear out existing stock that it's resorting to novel lease deals. In any case, what they present is an interesting scenario, one which allows buyers to get the existing model right now, and then trade up to the facelifted 2015 models in one year.
Starting April 17, when the refreshed cars debut through the end of August, buyers can lease a 2014 Charger or Challenger for one year and exchange it for a three-year lease on a 2015 model next year, with no additional money down and the same monthly payment. Customers can even switch vehicles when the new lease starts. If drivers want to buy the '15, they get $1,000 off the purchase price. To be eligible, both leases must use the same dealership and be financed through Chrysler Capital. The Double-Up deal excludes the SRT versions of both cars and Charger SE models.
To offset the flood of one-year-old models coming back to dealerships, Dodge has struck a deal with rental car agency Enterprise, which has agreed to buy them all. "One-year leases are highly unusual in the industry," said company spokesperson Ralph Kisiel, and the fleet sale deal is what makes it possible.
