*** All Original 1966 D100 Shortbed Hotrod Shop Truck *** on 2040-cars
Riverside, California, United States
I am selling my 1966 Dodge D100 Shortbed pickup. 318 Poly V8 with 4spd stick. It was to be my hotrod shop truck project but it has been sitting for over a month and I could use the $$$ for bills. The truck runs and drives good, just put a new clutch master and slave on it but it could use some tires and a battery. Heater box is out and probably needs a new core. Seat has been reupholstered and is nice. Paint appears to be all original except for inside the bed where someone painted a redish color. I bought the truck out of Phoenix and bought some CA black plates and had them assigned to the truck through DMV. Clear title in my name.
Great patina, a few dents and scratches, but they just add to the character. Both rocker panels and the floors around both front cab mounts are rusted. I have replacement panels which are included with the sale. I am also including all of the parts that I have collected for the transformation into a hotrod. This includes a rare vintage Edelbrock P600 tri-power intake manifold for the poly engine. I bought this off ebay for $1,200 from Ron's Tripowers in Il. There are three freshly rebuilt carbs that have never been run. The outboard carbs were specially modified by Ron's for the tri-power setup, removing the idle circuits and modifying the throttle plates to completely close. Also includes a fuel supply hard line, universal linkage, and air cleaners. Next is a set of Dodge Truck Association (DTA) ceramic/chrome coated poly headers for the D-series truck. These retail for $1,000. I also have a nice white steering wheel and a set of dashboard trim from a custom cab pickup. The hardware to hold the horn ring on is missing some pieces. Just get yourself a dropped front axle from Sid's and a flip kit from the rear and you're ready to cruise. I am located in Riverside, SoCal. I am willing to work with a shipper, but you must arrange and pay for it. I have set what I think is a reasonable reserve based on the extras I am including. I will not disclose my reserve, there is no buy it now option. Parts are not available separately. $500 Deposit due within 48hrs (paypal accepted) Full payment within 7 Days. Cash in person or other arrangement acceptable to me. Please contact me with your questions. Happy Bidding. |

2015 Dodge Charger Pursuit is ready to serve and protect
Fri, 08 Aug 2014Okay speed freaks, it's time to update your cheat sheet of police headlights, as Dodge has just unveiled the new 2015 Charger sedan's police variant, the Pursuit.
Like previous Charger Pursuits, the 2015 model is based on a modified version of the civilian sedan, featuring the same basic batch of mechanicals and sheetmetal, while adding a number of items specific to the five-oh.
For 2015, cops can select from the same 3.6-ltier V6 and 5.7-liter Hemi V8 available to the civilian population, with former turning out 292 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque and the latter packing 370 ponies and 390 lb-ft. Even loaded down with equipment, Dodge claims the Hemi-powered cop car can hit 60 miles per hour in under six seconds, while both engines are expected return 26 miles per gallon on the highway (thanks to the V8's four-cylinder mode). Rear-wheel drive is standard with both engines, while V8 Pursuits can be fitted with all-wheel drive.
2015 Dodge Charger configurator opens up shop
Thu, Dec 11 2014Itching to get your hands on a new 2015 Dodge Charger? Your day is almost nigh, my friend While you're waiting, you can spec out how you'd want your muscle sedan to look as Dodge has included the revised four-door in its online configuration tool. Though it's not the most impressive or interactive of configurators we've seen, the site lets you choose any color you want (from the limited array available anyway) along with all the key options packages and such. First you'll need to choose a trim level though, but we're afraid the Hellcat version isn't part of this site, and the SRT site hasn't launched a configurator yet for the world's fastest production sedan, so you'll have to choose between SE, SXT and R/T trim levels. Dodge revamping lineup with AWD Challenger and lighter Charger
Tue, Sep 6 2016Dodge's current lineup is aging rapidly. The Charger, for example, is going on 5 years old but its platform dates back to 2006. FCA, according to Automotive News, is working on revitalizing Dodge's lineup with the first of some new models debuting later this year. The report reveals plans for the majority of FCA's brands, but the most interesting bit of information is an all-wheel-drive model for the Dodge Challenger, which is being referred to as the GT AWD. Mopar unveiled the Challenger GT AWD Concept at SEMA last year as a concept, but it looks like the idea stuck. The vehicle is set to make its debut this fall and will lead the way for a wide-body, Hellcat-powered version that will be released in 2017. That model will be called the Challenger ADR. The entire Challenger lineup will be redesigned in 2018, which includes switching over to the lighter Giorgio platform - the same one that underpins the Alfa Romeo Guilia Dodge will also redesign the Charger to accommodate the new Giorgio platform in 2018. A new two-door convertible could debut in 2021, resurrecting the Barracuda moniker. The aging Dodge Durango will get a light refresh in 2017 with the addition of an SRT model, which Automotive News reports will feature a 6.4-liter V8 engine. Other changes are in store for other FCA brands, including the debut of full-size crossover in 2018 for Chrysler, which will be followed by a midsize crossover in 2019. The Jeep Compass and Wrangler will get a redesign for 2017, with the Cherokee getting a light makeover, as well. The Wrangler-based pickup truck, which we recently spotted testing, is set for its debut in 2018, while the Wagoneer will come out a year later.
