2005 Dodge Neon Srt-4 on 2040-cars
Kirksville, Missouri, United States
For sale today is my 2005 Dodge Neon Srt-4-This car has a CLEAN and CLEAR title. As it sits the car currently has 97,135 miles and runs like new. This car has never given me any problems to date; It is almost completely stock (it's incredibly hard to find an SRT4 that has been as unmolested as this one has) **This vehicle has never been street raced or taking to a track in it's lifetime** This car also has the 6 disc cd player with the kicker amp which is fully functional, as well as the viper inspired bucket seats!. The transmission shifts absolutely perfect, smooth as butter-no pop outs, grinding, or anything of the sort; It is only driven in comfortable conditions and never in the snow.
The body is in extremely good condition (the rear wing does have a slight slight clear coat issue- the area of problem is very small and I can send pictures. Above the right wheel well there is slight bubbling of the paint occurring-again very very minor.) This bumper has a slight crack in it which can be seen close up in the picture -the fog light casing also cracked and is no longer on it (the light also isn't functional)- There is also a crack in the dash. The sun roof no longer works -the motor works fine however it doesn't catch on the clips- Modifications: -AEM Cold Air Intake -Mopar Lowering Springs (1.5" in the rear and 1" in the front) - Adjustable Gas Shocks all the way around -Aftermarket BOV -Tinted Windows -AGP Wastegate (The car has always been set at stock boost levels of 15PSI; never any higher) This car has always been treated with the utmost respect in regards to its physical appearance as well as mechanical accuracy. It is hand washed once a week as well as waxed to prevent build up of oxidation, and all the recent maintenance has been done since it was first purchased from the factory. In the last 500 miles I have done the following (Maintenance): - NGK 4306 Copper Spark Plugs (all four were replaced) - Brand New Tires (all four were replaced at the same time and have 95% tread left an ALL) - Fuel Filter Replace - As a preventative measure I had a shop install a third gear extender to eliminate the possibility of ever having the notorious "third gear scratch". -Replaced the stock shift selector with an AGP billit selector I can't stress enough how well maintained this car has been throughout it's lifetime but I'll let the pictures speak for themselves! If you have any questions please feel free to contact me! If you need any pictures of ANY part of the car I will respond immediately with anything inquired about. |

Dodge Dart Registry helps you crowdsource money for your next ride [w/video]
Wed, 23 Jan 2013To be honest, we're surprised something like this didn't pop up sooner. Chrysler is riffing on gift registries for couples getting married or expecting babies and cross-pollinating it with a social media funding website like Kickstarter to help customers buy its 2013 Dodge Dart. The Dodge Dart Registry allows people to build and customize a new Dart exactly how they want it, then let other people purchase some or all of the components as gifts.
The registry lets you add features like dark headlights, dual exhaust, various wheels and even interior options without choosing a specific trim level. This sounds a lot like the system Scion uses to let its customers configure cars, and this could be a great idea for Dodge. Of course, this system has the added benefit of being a social media affair for you to share with your friends... you know, so they can help pay for some of the parts, too.
The best thing about the registry is that you can configure your dream Dart from the comfort of your home computer, which strikes us as much better than walking around Bed, Bath and Beyond for the better part of an afternoon with an electronic scanner. The one thing that Dodge doesn't offer? "Thank You" cards. Those are on you.
Dodge vs. Chevy tug-of-war taken to the extreme
Mon, 17 Dec 2012They say "idle hands are the devil's playground," but said playgrounds grow to Disney-sized proportions when a pair of jacked-up trucks, two egos, a chain and an empty mall parking lot are involved. Proof of this is the video below, which shows a Cummins-powered Dodge Ram circa 2006 to 2008 chained tail-to-tail with what looks to be a gasoline-powered Chevrolet Silverado from the late 1990s or early 2000s.
We don't necessarily have to tell you who wins this battle, but we'll let you see for yourself the lengths the "winning" driver goes to prove his point. There's plenty of foul language in the video below, so beware that this might be Not Safe For Work, and not that we should have to tell you, but please, do not try this at home.
FCA goes all-in on Jeep and Ram brands on cheap gas bet
Wed, Jan 27 2016It's no surprise that as SUV and truck sales remain strong in the wake of unusually cheap gas, Jeep and Ram sales are taking off. What is a surprise is that FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne thinks that cheap gas will be a "permanent condition," and feels strongly enough about it to change up North American manufacturing plans. Jeep appears to be the biggest beneficiary of the product realignment. In addition to increasing the sales estimates for the brand worldwide upwards to 2 million units a year by 2018, the brand will get a flood of investment for new product and powertrains. Consider the Wrangler Pickup to be part of the salvo, as well as the Grand Wagoneer three-row announced in 2014 as part of the original five-year plan. The Wrangler four-door will get at least two new powertrains, a diesel and mild hybrid version, in its next generation. That mild hybrid powertrain may utilize a 48-volt electrical system like the one that's being developed by Delphi and Bosch – which the suppliers think will be worth a 10 to 15 percent fuel economy gain at a minimum. Down the road, in the 2020s, the Wrangler could adopt a full hybrid system. The diesel powertrain is planned for 2019 or 2020. The Ram 1500 is also pegged to receive a mild hybrid system, again potentially based on 48-volt architecture, sometime after 2020. Lastly, Jeep and Ram will take over some of the production capacity of existing plants. The Sterling Heights, MI, plant that builds the Chrysler 200 will now build the Ram 1500; the Belvidere, IL, facility that produces the Dodge Dart will take over Cherokee output; the big Jeep facility in Toledo, OH, will be used for increased Wrangler demand. In 2015, according to FCA's numbers, car and van demand went down by 10 percent, but SUV demand went up 8 percent and truck demand 2 percent. Considering that these are high-margin vehicles, FCA can't ignore the math. FCA also won't build any new factories to supplement production to meet demand, but instead are reshuffling production priorities. Think of it this way: FCA is gambling on cheap gas being a permanent part of our lives, at least into the 2020s. By doubling down on SUVs and trucks, the company stands to win big, unless a spike in gas prices changes the landscape. FCA isn't talking about a Plan B, so they're all in. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out.
