This vehicle is a 2000 Dodge neon ES and is MANUAL. It is being sold AS-IS and has NO RESERVE. It RUNS but does NOT drive. With that being said this car is being sold for parts, or as a project car. This car was bought and had no problems, and a new battery. But when I was driving it in the rain one day to work, I spun and hydroplane into a guardrail on the highway so it has a side swiped effect with the doors pinned in on the left side. The left back door does not open, and the left front door only opens if you use a crowbar to pry it open at the top of the door. This car has a NYS inspection sticker that expires july 2013. The car was driven for months after the accident with no problems until recently it starts but wont shift into gear. The car does have some rust which for the most part you can see in the pictures. There is a tiny bit of rust at the front of the hood where it has a tiny bit of paint bubbling, there is rust on right side of the bottom of the door frame and also on the left side of the bottom of both doors. There is rust as seen in some places all along the left side of the car from where the car has been indented and scratched from hitting the guardrail. Besides the left side of the car the over-all exterior of the car has some minor dents and scratches. There is a small dent on the right side of the car on fender. I have a ton of pictures of the car if you want to see them, just send me a message. You must pick up this vehicle or have it shipped/towed within 7 days of the end of the auction unless a date is discussed otherwise. A $500.00 deposit must be paid via Pay Pal within 24hrs of auctions end. The rest of the payment must be made within 7 days of the end of the auction also made via Pay Pal or Cash in person, NO CHECKS. If you cannot comply with these rules please do not bid. The buyer is responsible for all shipping/towing costs. PLEASE REFER TO THE PICTURES BEFORE BIDDING. SERIOUS BIDDERS ONLY. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL ANY BIDS PLACED ON THE VEHICLE AT ANY TIME IF SOMEONE LOCALLY WANTS TO BUY THE CAR. ALL SALES AS-IS, ABSOLUTE, FINAL, NO WARRANTY, NO EXCEPTIONS. 1 Of 1 Dodge Viper looks a fabulous mess in Chicago
Fri, Feb 13 2015Earlier this year, we told you about the new Dodge Viper 1 Of 1 program, which offers buyers the chance to customize their supercars to the tune of some 25 million different combinations. With 8,000 paint colors, 24,000 hand-painted stripe patterns, 10 wheel options, and 16 interior trims to choose from, you'd be right to think that the possibilities for personalization are endless, and can probably get a little weird. That's kind of what's going on here in Chicago, with a Viper showcar that's definitely... unique. It doesn't really look bad, necessarily. It's just kind of strange. We call this color job, "Oh no, there are tiny paint cans falling from the sky, but I simply can't stop driving 200 miles per hour." And when it came time to spec wheels, it looks like FCA US said, "Aw heck, let's just use all of 'em." You'll definitely want to take a look at this unique creation, in the gallery above. And be sure to let us know if you think this Viper is hot or not, in Comments. Related Video:
Will Dodge limit 2015 Challenger SRT Hellcat to 1,200 units?
Sun, 20 Jul 2014With over 700 horsepower on tap and a price tag barely over $60k, Dodge appears on paper to have a winner on its hands with the new Challenger SRT Hellcat. But if you want to get your hands on one, you may have to act quicker than this most powerful of muscle cars covers the quarter-mile.
That's because, according to our compatriots over at Edmunds, Dodge may limit production - in the first year, at least - to just 1,200 units. That would amount to barely a quarter of the Challengers that Dodge moves each month, and would also mean only one Hellcat for every two Dodge dealers in the US - which could lead to some serious contention over which stores and which customers can get their hands on the ultimate Challenger.
Reached for comment, SRT spokesman Dan Reid told Autoblog that "there is no plan to limit production of the Challenger Hellcat," echoing the words of Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis who told Edmunds: "We don't know what the market demand is." Which doesn't mean that it won't restrict production, but doesn't mean that it will, either. It just hasn't decided yet - or announced any such decision, at any rate - over what will be the final allocation strategy for what could be a game-changing muscle car. That is, at least, until new versions of the Mustang and Camaro come along in pursuit of Dodge's bragging rights...
How Dodge dealers are earning the right to sell Hellcats
Wed, 10 Sep 2014We all hate the idea of the dreaded dealer markup when it comes to buying a highly anticipated new car. Take the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, for example. You might spend hours reading about its supercharged V8 and speccing the model just right in the configurator, but when it finally comes down to laying down the cash, the dealer adds thousands of dollars as a "market adjustment" on the muscle machine of your dreams. As it turns out, when the Hellcat starts hitting showrooms in the third quarter, Dodge is trying to make sure that's not the case.
Dealer orders for the much-hyped Hellcat recently started, but Dodge boss Tim Kuniskis has put some special caveats in place to ensure that the Hellcat makes it to the road quickly. The initial allocation is based on the number of Dodge products that a showroom has sold in the last 180 days, and a second allotment in December is based on the last 90 days of sales and 30-day turnover. "You sell a lot of Darts for me, Journeys for me, Durangos for me, I'm going to give you the rights to this one, too, because this is a halo of the brand," said Kuniskis to Automotive News.
Furthermore, how quickly the Hellcat sells is also going to decide whether showrooms get more of them. "If you want to market-adjust the car, that's your right. But if your days-on-lot goes above what the other guys that are selling them at MSRP is, they will end up earning the allocation because their days-on-lot will be lower," he said to Automotive News. Obviously, this doesn't prevent dealers from marking up the Challenger SRT, but the strategy certainly discourages it.
