Custom Hot Rod Dodge Magnum R/t With Side Pipes And Shaker Hood on 2040-cars
North Hills, California, United States
You are bidding on a custom 2005 Dodge Magnum.
It is very unique looking, and it gets looks and thumbs ups from people everywhere you go with it. When purchased, it was fully loaded, and sold for $36,000. It had the leather interior option, the safety option with side curtain air bags, the convenience package, the convenience package 2, the towing package, and several other options. These options include bluetooth hands free phone connection, built-in garage door control, voice-activated features, the ability to play up to 5 data CDs full of mp3 files, dual climate controls, rear climate controls, heated seats, and a number of other luxury features not included in the standard Magnums. It can comfortable hold 5 full-sized adults, with no problems with leg room. And when you put the rear seats down, it has a vast amount of cargo room. It has a custom embroidered arm-rest, with a flame pattern. It also has aftermarket pedals and shifter knob, and a brushed aluminum dash trim kit. The car has a factory anti-theft system, where the car can not be started if the key fob is not physically in the vehicle. As far as custom modification, it has 20" chrome wheels and low-profile performance tires. It has Hotchkis lowering springs, Hotchkis heavy-duty sway bars, and Bilstein gas struts. It handles very nicely, for a larger vehicle. It is not mooshy or saggy when going around corners. It has a cat-back Flowmaster exhaust system, with Zoomers exhaust resonators. It also has dual side pipes, which are functional, with two y pipes split after the cats. It also has a custom Shaker hood scoop, with a functional ram-air system, sealed airbox, and oiled K&N cone filter. It also has a Predator grille, headlight eyelids, and halo fog lights. The car also comes with a Predator computer tuner, that allows you to increase the power, and control almost every aspect of the vehicle's systems. It simply plugs in under the dash, and you can control a variety of performance features. This vehicle features the MDS system. When cruising on the freeway, it cuts out 4 of the 8 cylinders, for better fuel economy. On long highway trips, I have done as good as 26 MPG. Which is amazing fuel economy for a car with a big V8. The car has a custom stereo, but utilizes the stock head unit. It has a separate amplifier for the rear subwoofer, which include custom fiberglass enclosures for both. The stock speakers were replaced with higher quality units. It has a good amount of bass without being insane. It also has Audiobahn flame look speaker grilles on the front doors. Overall, this is a very comfortable vehicle, with incredible utility, for fitting a lot of passengers, but it can also tow, haul, and can also go very fast if you need to. It really is the best of all worlds. I have tried to take very good care of this car, and have fixed anything that came up. I am selling simply because I want to get into off-road vehicles. And this one certainly does not have great ground clearance... |

Dodge Viper returning to Le Mans this year?
Mon, Jan 5 2015If you were among the fans disappointed by Chrysler's recent decision to end the Dodge Viper's racing program, we may have some good news for you, as the racing outfit behind the campaign is reportedly working to bring the American supercars back to Le Mans this year. That racing outfit is Riley Technologies, a constructor perhaps best known for its Daytona Prototypes, but it has also prepared its share of GT racers, too. Chrysler charged Riley with leading its racing program for the new Viper GTS-R, campaigned it in the United SportsCar Championship and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Auburn Hills made the unfortunate decision back in March to pull its Vipers out of Le Mans, and then in October to withdraw from the US series, as well, thereby effectively ending the program altogether. Disappointed though it surely was, Riley remains defiant. The North Carolina-based company is planning on taking the existing Vipers back to Le Mans on its own, with or without factory support. The Viper has, after all, proven a capable machine, having taken both the drivers' and teams' titles in the United SportsCar Championship this past season. "With Le Mans, every driver and every manufacturer needs to have their first trip there, and it isn't always what you want it to be, but we did show reliability and did have some pace," Bill Riley told Racer.com. "Since then, we've worked hard on the cars, they're now strong, front-running cars in the US, and we're working with the ACO on the BoP to make sure the cars are strong at Le Mans. They're super-reliable and fast, and we'd expect to be right in the mix with the other cars." Riley has kept the existing support staff in place, and once it secures its driver lineup and sponsors, chances look good that it could represent America well at Le Mans this year in either the GTE Pro or GTE Am class. Its predecessor did, after all, complete a three-year winning streak that saw it dominate the GTS class right up until its withdrawal in 2000. Mustang, Camaro, Challenger gallop onto USPS pony car postage stamp set
Tue, Jul 19 2022Some of America's most iconic cars are about to be immortalized on postage stamps. A new set by the U.S. Postal Service will celebrate the the golden era of pony cars, featuring five classic examples of Detroit iron. Each one is beautifully illustrated in oil-on-canvas style, with subjects in motion and sunlight glinting off the chrome, and would add a nice touch to any first-class letter. The pony car segment was all about (relatively) small, sporty alternatives to the full-size land yachts of the 1960s. They typically came equipped with 6-cylinder engines or small-block V8s. The category was named after the Ford Mustang, hence the name. Some, though, argue that the Plymouth Barracuda, which was launched a couple of weeks before the Mustang, is the first. Luckily, the Falcon-based Mustang's distinct styling generated a sales sensation, or we might be calling them fish cars. Appropriately, one of the featured cars is a Mustang. But it's not just any Mustang. The 1969 Boss 302, seen here resplendent in Bright Yellow, was created for the hotly-contested SCCA Trans-Am racing series. One of its main rivals would have been the 1969 Chevy Camaro Z/28, also created specifically for the series, and is included in the set in Fathom Green. Representing Auburn Hills in the set is a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T in Plum Crazy, while Southfield's American Motors gets a nod with an AMC Javelin in Big Bad Orange. The Mustang's platform cousin, a 1967 Mercury Cougar XR-7, is portrayed in a gorgeous Burgundy Poly that almost looks incomplete without Neko Case on the hood. It's not the first time the USPS has honored America's rich car culture on its stamps. In 2013, it issues a series of muscle car stamps with the help of Richard Petty. That set featured a 1966 Pontiac GTO, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1970 Chevelle SS, 1970 Plymouth Hemi ’Cuda and, of course, a 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona. Another set in 2016 featured classic pickup trucks. Going further back, a 2008 release had chroed and finned automobiles of the 1950s and a 2005 release featured sporty American cars of the same era. The pony car stamps will debut on August 25 at the Great American Stamp Show in Sacramento, California in partnership with the American Philatelic Society. The public is free to attend the dedication ceremony, but you must RSVP first. After that, they will be available at local post offices and on line at the USPS store.
Fiat-Chrysler shows its SEMA lineup
Fri, 24 Oct 2014Fiat Chrysler Automobiles already previewed its 2014 SEMA show lineup with some slick renders. Now, the automaker has finally showed us the actual cars, and among the group there are definitely some that stand out more than others.
Dodge is really showing off its muscle at this year's show with four concepts that all pump up the power of the brand's models. Perhaps most interesting among them is the Challenger T/A Concept (pictured above) in striking Sublime Green and matte black. It's meant to resemble the classic Trans Am racer from the '70s. Under the hood is a 6.4-liter V8, and to fit the vintage style there's a pistol-grip gearshift inside.
The Charger R/T also gets some attention with the Mopar concept that shows off what FCA's aftermarket performance arm can do. Mods include an updated body kit, cold-air intake for the 5.7-liter V8 and a coil-over suspension kit. Beyond that, the Dart R/T Concept looks a lot meaner with a black hood with duct work that leads straight to the air intake. The rest of the compact sedan is dolled up in O-So-Orange paint and is fitted with upgrades to improve handling like a coil-over suspension and big brake kit from the Mopar catalog.
