Dodge Hellcat orders on hold due to 'unprecedented demand'

Want to get your hands on a 707-horsepower Dodge Challenger or Charger Hellcat to call your very own? We don't blame you, and you're not alone. According to Motor Authority and confirmed by a spokesperson from Chrysler, Dodge has gotten so many orders for its stable of Hellcats that it simply cannot keep up with demand: "Due to unprecedented demand for the 2015 Dodge Charger and Challenger SRT Hellcats, we are temporarily restricting orders while we validate current orders that are in the system." Put another way, if you're waiting for a Hellcat, your wait is likely to be a lot longer than you'd like. We've reached out to Chrysler to find out how long it might take for a new customer to get a new Hellcat, and we'll update if and when we hear back. Bull leads Texas police on four hour chase

A bull leading police on a chase through a Texas town may sound like something out of a country music song, but police in Arlington, Texas recently had just such a situation on their hands. According to WFAA, on the afternoon of May 9, a young bull got loose from his pen and decided to take a stroll through the streets of Arlington. "There was a cow walking down the neighborhood," said Arlington resident Jillyan Nance. "It trotted down my home and cut across our yard into the neighbor's yard." Arlington police were alerted to the escaped bull and, in a scene more Texas than Steve Earle drinking a Shiner at the Alamo, they attempted to chase it down with police cruisers. For the next four hours, police engaged the creature in a sedate, low-speed chase through Arlington, Dalworthington Gardens, and other neighboring towns. The bull, for his part, largely ignored his pursuers and the throngs of people coming out of their houses to watch the strange scene and post pictures to Facebook and Instagram. With numerous police cruisers in not-quite-hot pursuit, the bull ambled along the shady streets, stopping here and there to munch on some grass and take in the views. Eventually, a friendly local rancher showed up and lassoed the bull in Dalworthington Gardens just before 9:00 p.m. Police have not released the name of the bull's owner or any motive for its escape. Perhaps, like the unicorn that escaped into a California orchard back in February, it decided that it had had enough of working for a living and was looking for something else. That's where we are with the latest episode of Roadkill, wherein Messr's Freiburger and Finnegan dig out a 1968 Dodge Charger that Freiburger acquired in exchange for a set of cylinder heads, and intend to stuff it with the big-block motor from a long-bed, three-quarter ton Dodge pickup.
Only the pickup is too nice to tear apart, and the Charger needs a whole lot more lovin' - and parts - than initially expected. Enter, stage right, the Class A Dodge Pace Arrow motorhome with a 440 big-block purchased for $1,000, and a retired Plymouth Fury from a previous episode.
What ensues over the course of the 40-minute installment is more cuttin', yankin', leakin', stallin', hammerin' and smokin' action than you've seen in a long time, and some techniques that would have made even Cooter wonder, "I'm not sure if we should do that."
