I'm selling my 2002 Dodge Intrepid SE. It has a 2.7L V6 engine. I just replaced the engine, alternator, tensioner pulley, battery (Walmart warranty), 2 belts & Oil Pressure Switch (AutoZone warranty) because I was keeping it for a while longer, but I decided to get me a new Dodge Challenger. A/C blows cold and inspection is up-to-date. Transmission shift super smooth. Everything runs good, and I also included a short video of driving it. All that has been replaced is less than 30 days old, I was gonna keep it but I got a Dodge Challenger. The only minor issue is there is small oil leak which looks like it is coming from the oil pan and needs the gasket replaced. It is a very light leak. Also when I replaced the alternator with a used one, it works fine, but the voltage could output a bit better so if the buyer buys it at the sell price, I will replace it with a brand new alternator. The check engine light is also on because of an O2 sensor. I replaced the sensor but the AutoZone associate told me that I would have to drive it for about 100+ miles before the car would recognize it and shut off the light. The wheels on this car alone are worth $1,600. They are 22" Chrome Wheels with good tread on the 235/30/22 tires. Also includes a 7" In-dash Touchscreen DVD Jensen Stereo Head Unit. I would rate this car 8 out of 10 for being a 12 year old car. Has normal wear for a car this age, but overall its a nice ride. Please send me a message if you would like to stop by and see it in person and give it a test drive. You can also check the VIN and see that it is a clean history, no issues.

Weekly Recap: New bosses try to jump-start Cadillac and Lincoln

Sat, 26 Jul 2014

Both of America's domestic luxury brands seem to be stuck in neutral.
It's ironic that Cadillac and Lincoln got new bosses within days of each other this month. It's also a commentary on the fact both of America's domestic luxury brands seem to be stuck in neutral.

Dodge Demon's A/C helps its supercharged Hemi make more power

Thu, Mar 30 2017

Staying cool is one important key to performance. Simply, more air means more power, and cool, dense air is better than hot air. While forced induction might help make copious amounts of horsepower, turbos and superchargers produce heat. Intercoolers help, but the new Dodge Demon and its supercharged Hemi need a bit of an extra boost. In Drag Mode, the Demon's engine commandeers the car's air conditioning system to help chill things out. The Demon will have the first production application of a liquid-to-air charge air cooler chiller system. Literally, the car's air conditioning system is used to cool the air going into the engine, dropping temps by up to 45 degrees Fahrenheit. Dodge claims the system helps achieve "temperatures previously unattainable by pressure-charged street-legal production vehicles." As cool as this may sound, the technology isn't new. Ford had a prototype system in the early 2000s called SuperCooler, though that system never made it to production. While the Demon's system doesn't have a super cool name like the one from Ford, the pair essentially work in the same way. In theory, it should have the same effect as a bottle of nitrous. According to Autoweek, Ford's system bumped up the output of the F-150 Lightning by about 50 horsepower. Turns out that air conditioning isn't always a huge power suck. Related Video:

Dodge lets us drive 100-years' worth of history [w/videos]

Thu, 03 Jul 2014

A raft of important production models from the last hundred years were available for me to either drive or ride in.
Dodge is 100 years old this year. So, as happened on Ford's recent centennial, the 50-year birthday of the Porsche 911, and others, the company has an excuse to trot out the highlights of its history next to its upcoming model lineup, and declare that "these are the fruits of the Dodge Boys' tree whose roots have grown strong." Or something like that. Never so hampered by marketing skepticism that I'll pass up the opportunity to burn someone else's rubber, I was happy to drive out to Meadow Brook Hall in Rochester Hills, MI - former grand estate of the Dodge family - to hear the spiel.
