This is a one owner Dodge Grand Caravan Sport with Braun Entervan handicap wheelchair conversion which I purchased new and recorded every mile driving from my wheelchair. The van has a 10" lowered floor, power sliding passenger door with power folding ramp operated via remote control or by one of the many buttons located on the van. The driver and/or passenger seat can be removed allowing a person to drive from a wheelchair or ride as a passenger. Today, the Braun Conversion by itself costs approximately $15,000 plus the cost of the van. This van also includes reduced effort steering ($3,000), a hand control ($1,000) along with remote start and an updated stereo system. It has newer tires, newer brake pads and rotors, many new front end parts along with all new fuel tank seals. The main item that makes this van very desirable is it recently received a brand new (not re manufactured) engine which currently has around 20,000 miles on it since being installed. I used this van daily, took it on several long trips with my wife and never wanted to be stuck some place while it was broken down so have been very proactive regarding maintenance and upkeep. The van has a number of dings and paint chips that have been touched up. It has surface rust near each rear wheel that has been repaired but is noticeable and some surface rust between the doors on the passenger side. The rear heat does not work as the core recently developed a leak so I rerouted the lines to bypass the rear as the van stays very warm without it even in the cold Nebraska winters. Regarding the Braun Conversion, the van has a kneeling system that lowers the rear passenger side of the van as the ramp deploys to reduce the angle of the ramp. I never used this feature and when I recently tested it it would not turn off so it's currently disconnected. The van has no leaks and the A/C (front and rear) is ice cold. It will make a great van for someone driving from their wheelchair and/or someone transporting a loved one. Don't miss this van!!!

Dodge Challenger spied exercising supercharged Hellcat Hemi V8
Wed, 23 Oct 2013One of the prime complaints against the Dodge Challenger is that, even in SRT8 guise, its 470 horsepower is responsible for hauling over 4,200 pounds of vehicle. For comparison, the 420 hp in the Ford Mustang GT only has to deal with 3,618 lbs. Things only get worse from there, as the higher-performance variants of both the Mustang and the Chevrolet Camaro are far more powerful than an SRT8 without adding on much heft.
So what is Chrysler to do? The correct answer is add a whole lot more grunt to its hefty two-door and even the odds. That's where the all-new Hellcat engine comes into play. We reported on this engine in May, and suggested that the Hellcat, a supercharged powerplant based on a 6.4-liter V8, would easily generate 500 to 570 hp and could likely arrive boasting more than 600 ponies.
Chrysler's ace in its sleeve has now been spied testing, with a number of Hellcat-equipped Challengers running the potent new engine both in more urbanized areas and under the sun of Death Valley. The hoods on these testers have been raised to accommodate the engine, and that camouflage over the fascias of these prototypes is there to hide a larger air intake. We also note what appears to be a new split grille under wraps. As for power output, our spies are now suggesting a Viper-equalling 640 hp from the Hellcat-equipped cars.
Are supercars becoming less special?
Thu, Sep 3 2015There's little doubt that we are currently enjoying the golden age of automotive performance. Dozens of different models on sale today make over 500 horsepower, and seven boast output in excess of 700 hp. Not long ago, that kind of capability was exclusive to supercars – vehicles whose rarity, performance focus, and requisite expense made them aspirational objects of desire to us mortals. But more than that, supercars have historically offered a unique driving experience, one which was bespoke to a particular model and could not be replicated elsewhere. But in recent years, even the low-volume players have been forced to find the efficiencies and economies of scale that formerly hadn't been a concern for them, and in turn the concept of the supercar as a unique entity unto itself is fading fast. The blame doesn't fall on one particular manufacturer nor a specific production technique. Instead, it's a confluence of different factors that are chipping away at the distinction of these vehicles. It's not all bad news – Lamborghini's platform sharing with Audi for the Gallardo and the R8 yielded a raging bull that was more reliable and easier to live with on a day-to-day basis, and as a result it went on to become the best-selling Lambo in the company's history. But it also came at the cost of some of the Italian's exclusivity when eerily familiar sights and sounds suddenly became available wearing an Audi badge. Even low-volume players have been forced to find economies of scale. Much of this comes out of necessity, of course. Aston Martin's recent deal with Mercedes-AMG points toward German hardware going under the hood and into the cabin of the upcoming DB11, and it's safe to assume that this was not a decision made lightly by the Brits, as the brand has built a reputation for the bespoke craftsmanship of its vehicles. There's little doubt that the DB11 will be a fine automobile, but the move does jeopardize some of the characteristic "specialness" that Astons are known for. Yet the world is certainly better off with new Aston Martins spliced with DNA from Mercedes-AMG rather than no new Astons at all, and the costs of developing cutting-edge drivetrains and user interfaces is a burden that's becoming increasingly difficult for smaller manufacturers to bear. Even Ferrari is poised to make some dramatic changes in the way it designs cars.
