Up for auction - 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan. This van has belonged to my mom for a couple of years now. She is downsizing and needing to sell. Van runs and drives good. 3.8L V6, automatic, cruise, tilt, power windows, locks and dual power sliding doors. CD and Cassette Tape radio. Stow and go seating, middle and 3rd seat fold into floor for storage. No major rips/tears in seat. She never smoked in the van (there is one small burn on the passenger seat from prior owner) and it has not had children in it. NO ODORS. No major rust issues but it does have a minor paint scrap on the rear bumper and a small spot of paint bubbling on the hood edge. The a/c does need a recharge. Oil changes always done on time. Newer battery. Tires are a match set with 10,000 miles on them, plenty of tread left. Van can be seen prior to close of auction. The van did have to fender benders over the years she has owned it. It was professionally repaired both times and no major damage was done. NEVER had any frame damage. Drives straight down the road. Sold as is, where is. Sorry for the dirt in the photos, it has rained non-stop here for 4 days. Van will be washed. :) We have a clear Michigan title in hand. Full payment MUST be received prior to delivery. CASH in person or bank wire transfer only (except Paypal deposit). Located 20 mins north of South Bend, Indiana (home of Notre Dame), one hour from Chicago, near I-94. Happy to work with buyer to get it transported or fly in, train in, bus in and I can pick you up and you can drive it home! I wouldn't hesitate to drive this van cross country. We have a local transport company that will deliver this van for discounted rates. Email with any questions or comments. Thanks for looking! |

MotorWeek proves '90s were awesome with Supra, Stealth, RX-7, Corvette, 968, 300ZX comparo
Thu, 24 Jul 2014Oh, the heady days of 1993, back when the Clinton Presidency was just getting underway, and it seemed like every hot new rock band was coming out of Seattle. Sports cars in the US had finally shaken off the shackles that slowed them during the '70s and '80s, and you could buy any number of legitimately quick vehicles again. MotorWeek recently went digging into its archives to find this six-model test from 1993 showing off some of the best semi-affordable performance coupes that money could buy at the time, and it's priceless.
Featuring the 1994 model year Toyota Supra in twin-turbo guise and MY 1993 versions of the Porsche 968, Nissan 300ZX TT, Mazda RX-7, Dodge Stealth R/T Turbo and Chevrolet Corvette LT-1, MotorWeek definitely covered all of the bases. One thing that might surprise younger readers is these cars' performance. The video only provides 0-60 acceleration times, but several of these vehicles would still be considered pretty potent today - over 20 years since going on sale. The Supra is especially impressive, hitting 60 miles per hour in just 5 seconds. Even today, that's nothing to sneeze at.
Given their performance potential and still-attractive looks, it's amazing that some of these coupes are old enough to drink now. The progress of interior design and safety equipment in the intervening years is pretty shocking, though. In most of these models, having two airbags is touted as a big deal. Scroll down to watch a Throwback Thursday blast from the past about some of the '90s best sports cars.
2015 Dodge Challenger Drag Pak previewed
Fri, 29 Aug 2014Dodge and Mopar have never strayed far from success in drag racing, be it on run-what-you-brung nights at the local strip or at the highest levels of the sport. Hoping to both add to that heritage and capitalize on some of the media spotlight that's shown so brightly on the brand of late, Dodge has given us our first look at the 2015 Mopar Challenger Drag Pak test car.
Though this first iteration doesn't make use of the 707-horsepower Hellcat engine, it seems to be a pretty formidable racing package. Starting with a stock '15 Challenger, Mopar adds a full roll cage built to National Hot Rod Association specs. Rubber front and back is drag racing-ready as well, with 28x4.5-inch tires in the front, and fat 30x9-inch tires out back - all from Hoosier.
Powering the beast is a massive 426-cubic-inch (7.0-liter) Hemi Race V8, with output levels that are still unspecified. A Chrysler 727 automatic transmission connects up to a racing style shift lever, with integral line lock.
Jeep Grand Cherokee, Dodge Durango to lose color options temporarily
Wed, 19 Nov 2014In the market for a Jeep Grand Cherokee or Dodge Durango? Well, if you fancy a more expressive color for your new SUV, you'd better get your order in, or plan on waiting until well into 2015.
The SUVs will be limited to just four monochromatic shades - black, white, silver and gray - until at least February, thanks to an upgrade to the paint shop at the two vehicles' Jefferson North factory. For the Grand Cherokee, that means it's losing more than half its color palette while the Durango is dropping two-thirds of its color catalog.
The loss of colors is inconvenient, but the upgrade will have a slightly bigger effect on the overall supply of SUVs, as Chrysler will need to end its relentless build pace at the factory for a three-week shutdown starting on December 22. The good news for fans of the SUVs is that once the work is completed, we should see a gradual expansion of the color palettes for both the Durango and Grand Cherokee, beyond even what's offered now.
