Condition: UsedA vehicle is considered used if it has been registered and issued a title. Used vehicles have had at least one previous owner. The condition of the exterior, interior and engine can vary depending on the vehicle's history. See the seller's listing for full details and description of any imperfections.Seller Notes:"Exterior: No dents or notable defects. Minor cracking of color-matched rear bumper. All electrical/lights/signals work. Strong engine, good running condition, engine/transmission are strong and smooth. Overhead console computer works accurately. 6 disc factory integrated DVD system works well. Dependable engine with timing chain instead of timing belt (no replacement cost!). This van has the larger 3.8L V6 engine which mates better with the transmission, greatly reducing the potential for costly transmission repairs. High mileage but mostly highway or longer trips of 12 miles or more. Regular maintenance has been done. AC recently recharged. Power sliding doors work well. Power heated front seats. Rear wiper/washer/defrost works well. Dual mode power sunroof. New custom floor mats. Full Stow-N-Go option (all five rear seats fold flat into floor). Few repairs have been necessary."

This vehicle is the Special Edition version of the Grand Caravan, and is in very good condition inside and out. It has no dents or notable exterior defects. All electrical/lights/signals have been tested and work. The 3.8L V6 engine is strong and the transmission is smooth. The larger engine mates better with the transmission and results in better overall reliability. The engine also is equipped with a timing chain instead of a timing belt, which removes the need to have costly timing belt replacement.

The integrated 6 disc DVD player works well and is great for the kids on longer trips. The overhead console computer works accurately, displaying trip miles, elapsed time, miles to empty, and gas mileage, as well as outside temperature and vehicle direction. The vehicle is equipped with smart cruise control, which keeps the speed more accurately than the typical cruise control and helps to save gas.

We have seldom used this vehicle for trips less than at least 12 miles at a time, and have often used it for longer out-of-state travel. Most of the miles are truly highway miles. Few repairs have been necessary during our ownership. We've done regular maintenance. The oil was changed less than 1000 miles ago and the tires are about 50%. AC was recently recharged. The brakes were done about 3000 miles ago, so are almost new. We love this vehicle, but we've outgrown it! We recently upgraded to a larger vehicle due to a new addition to the family! Our loss is your gain.

Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat #0001 raises $825,000 for charity

Sun, 28 Sep 2014

$60,000 doesn't strike us as a lot to pay for a muscle car with 707 horsepower on tap. $825,000... now that's a different story. But, according to the official SRT blog, that's how much one generous and eager buyer paid for the privilege of getting his (or her) hands on the very first new Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.
Decked out in Stryker Red paint that's usually reserved for the Viper, the supercharged Challenger bearing the VIN 0001 went up for auction at the Mandalay Bay hotel and casino in Las Vegas on Saturday under the auspices of Barrett-Jackson. By the time bidding ended, the gavel dropped at $825,000 - nearly 14 times the sticker price - 100 percent of which will benefit Opportunity Vehicle, a charity that aids the intellectually handicapped in the Las Vegas Area.

Chrysler recalling 700k minivans and Dodge Journey for ignition switch woes

Tue, 01 Jul 2014

General Motors isn't the only automaker with ignition switch problems. Chrysler is fighting it too and is now announcing a recall of 695,957 examples worldwide of the Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans from the 2008-2010 model years, plus the 2009-2010 Dodge Journey.
According to a statement from Chrysler, the models have a bad wireless ignition node detent ring in the ignition switch, making it possible for drivers to appear to have the key in the "Run" position but for the spring not to fully engage. It can then slip back to the "Accessory" position and shut the car off. If this happens, the vehicle loses power steering, brake boost and the airbags.
There is some disparity about the number of vehicles affected under this recall. In its statement, Chrysler claims that it covers 525,206 vehicles in the US, 102,892 in Canada, 25,591 in Mexico and 42,268 elsewhere. However, the recall announcement posted by The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration lists an estimated 438,109 vehicles in the US. Chrysler spokesperson Nick Cappa told Autoblog via email that the reasoning for the different figures "will become clear at a later date."

2016 Dodge Viper ACR First Drive [w/video]

Fri, Jul 17 2015

The Dodge Viper is not a comfortable car. Livable, yes. The interior is covered in fine materials. But you still climb over a hot door sill to enter the tiny cabin. And the frequency range of the engine's noises seem specifically designed to cause headaches. What happens, then, if you remove all pretense of civility from a Viper and add equipment solely aimed at improving lap times? You would have the 2016 Dodge Viper ACR. In terms of achieving its purpose, this car is a absolute success. In many ways it's also the most honest Viper of the current generation. Prices start at $121,990 (including $2,100 gas-guzzler tax and $1,995 destination), or $32,900 more than the least expensive Viper. In ACR trim, the Viper loses the under-carpet padding, 9 of 12 speakers plus amplifier, carpet and trim from the cargo area, and sound deadening in front of the rear wheel wells. The parts of the interior still covered add healthy amounts of Alcantara or optional carbon fiber. That weight loss is compensated by the addition of go-fast bits like the giant rear wing (or the larger "x-wing" on the Extreme Aero Package), 10-way adjustable Bilstein Motorsports shocks, Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, a rear diffuser, and a front splitter. Total claimed curb weight is 3,392 pounds in Aero trim (standard ACR trim is 18 pounds lighter), which is within a few stone of the rest of the Viper lineup. The diffuser strakes and leading edge of the splitter are removable, made to be replaced after rubbing on track tarmac and make street driving slightly more practical. Not that you'd want to drive the ACR on the street, with the lack of noise insulation and spring rates twice as stiff as the Viper TA, but it is street-legal. Dodge claims the DOT-approved Kumho Ecsta V720 tires on the ACR allow faster lap times than some race compound tires. Our test was limited to on-track shenanigans at Virginia International Raceway. Which is fitting because we wouldn't have anything good to say about driving the car on the street. The ACR is, essentially, a race car sold in the showroom, although with the Viper's 1 of 1 customization program, your custom build can include as many creature comforts as you like. Lined up in pit lane at VIR, the Viper ACRs for our evaluation blur the air with heat shimmer. All of the test cars have air conditioning, but that shuts off at full throttle with a six-second reset.
