2002 Dodge Grand Caravan Rear Entry Handicap Ramp Mobility Van
Vehicle is in excellent condition with Low Mileage
Up for auction is our personal vehicle - this is not a business, nor am I someone who purchased this van to "flip" it for a profit - something that is becoming all too common these days. We purchased this van from the original owner a few years ago to transport our handicapped son. This van has been a god send - really. We had a side entry van before this one and time after time had difficulty finding a suitable handicap parking spot due to the ridiculously liberal policies for handing out the passes to people who clearly can walk the extra few feet, but that is a discussion for another time. Having a rear entry vehicle for his power wheelchair that allowed us to park in any spot has changed our lives - and his. With this van we could take him anywhere without concern as to where we had room to park.
The van is loaded - what it didn't have, we added so that we could take trips to family out of state and take him to his doctors both in and out of state, and have his two sisters come along and ride comfortably.
The van is equipped with:
*Front and rear bucket seats ( 4 in total) that are in perfect shape - no stains, rips or marks - very nice shape!
Vehicle can handle (4) people plus the wheelchair - so 5 total
*Rear Wheelchair Entry Ramp Conversion, with 4 point Q-Straint ratchet straps. The two front straps are fixed and the two rear straps can be located in various positions depending upon the size and position of the chair.
The Rear ramp is 33" wide, Lightweight to handle and operate while being very robust for the heaviest of chairs ( my son's chair is very large and it handles him and it with ease) and is maintenance free!
* Front and Rear A/C, which blows nice and cold, and has separate rear controls for the rear passengers
* Power Windows
*Power Locks
* Cruise Control
*In Dash DVD / CD AM/FM radio, which is tied into rear headrest mounted video screens for the rear passengers - your front passenger can watch as well as the rear and you can control the operation from up front so no need to reach behind you while driving!
The body and paint are nearly perfect - I keep the van clean inside and out. I am an ASE Master Mechanic, so everything I own and drive is kept in top shape, and I don't take chances with my family
There is one (1) scratch on the body where someone was so nice as to smack their door into mine in a parking lot. Luckily it hit the passenger rear door handle so it just made a small chip - no dents or dings anywhere, it shines like new.
The interior is as close to new as you can get - no stains, rips, cracks - nothing.
Mechanically the van is also in mint shape - it has low miles - just 73,520, and I have addressed every regular maintenance item as well as every common issue with the Dodge Caravan such as:
New high output alternator about 6 months ago
New battery about 6 months ago
New Front and Rear brakes about 5,000 miles ago
New serpentine belt and belt tensioner about 6 months ago
New radiator about 3,000 miles ago
New valve cover gaskets about 6,000 miles ago
New airconditioning condenser about 6,000 miles ago
New electric fans (2) last year - about 8,000 miles ago
New shocks front - about 10,000 miles ago
New Rear HD coil over shocks about 8,000 miles ago
I use Mobil 1 synthetic oil religiously and change the oil every 3,000 miles or 6 months - whichever comes first.
I also change the filter at every oil change, and the air filter once a year.
As you can see - this van is loaded, in mint shape and needs nothing to get out and help you get that special person in your life mobile again, and with the best possible way to load a wheel chair.
Oh and it gets good gas mileage too
So, why are we selling - we have just outgrown it.
We are looking to relocate down south and have some trips planned to look at houses etc..
Our son has grown quite a bit since we first purchased the van, as well as our family. It kills me to sell the van but we need to move onto a full size van that can carry our whole family, and all of his medical gear and our luggage for long trips on the road.
I just purchased a rear entry full size GMC van with a HD rear lift. The new van is not going to be as easy to park as the Caravan but it is what it is and we have to move on.
You wont be disappointed. I encourage anyone who is interested to come, look the vehicle over and take it for a ride.
update on van i bought van hoping i will need for a long time but mom passed after only two rides to doctor this van is so easy to use mom loved it dont pass this one up. i purchased van from seller allterrainn who has a 100% rating so bid with confidence there are not many vans like this look around.

2015 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack
Fri, 24 Oct 2014We all knew That Kid. As a freshman, he was a big kid, overweight but surprisingly strong. Still, he was often picked on for his size. Then, he chatted with the football coach, who convinced him that his true calling was on the team's offensive line. After a season on the freshman squad and a summer of two-a-days, this mild-mannered, husky high schooler returned for his sophomore year as a big, imposing, solid piece of muscle. Needless to say, the same bullies that picked on him were praying he'd forgotten about them as a 10th grader.
That's the V8-powered 2015 Dodge Challenger. It arrived on the scene with a max of 425 horsepower and a bit of a weight problem. It completed its proverbial freshman year with a nice 2011 refresh, where the SRT8 was bumped up to 470 hp, but it still had some work to do.
Enter 2015, and fresh off three months of constant burpees and wind sprints, the newest Challenger is as big and powerful as it's ever been, but it's now got poise and potential, and my goodness, it's fun in a way that Dodge's muscle car has never been.
Chrysler killing off the 200 Convertible, Dodge Avenger
Sun, 23 Feb 2014When Chrysler rolled out the first-generation 200 to replace the Sebring range in 2010, it included replacements for both the sedan and the convertible. The Sebring Coupe, however, was left out of the mix. And now that the second-generation Chrysler 200 is descending upon us, Auburn Hills is paring things down even further. But this time, it's the convertible that reportedly isn't making the cut. Shame, too, since the rendering above shows what could have been quite an attractive droptop.
As our compatriots at Edmunds point out, sales of the convertible model accounted for less than five percent of overall Chrysler 200 sales, and at those numbers, the considerable cost of engineering a new drop-top couldn't be justified. With the Toyota Camry Solara and Volkswagen Eos also gone from the market (well, the VW isn't gone quite yet), the discontinuation of the Chrysler 200 Convertible leaves the affordable convertible segment largely to the sportier likes of the Ford Mustang and Chevy Camaro and smaller European offerings like the Mini Cooper and VW Beetle.
The Chrysler 200 Convertible isn't the only derivative being left behind with the new model: so too is the Dodge Avenger. That will leave a glaring hole in the Dodge lineup, with nothing to bridge the gap between the compact Dart and the larger Charger. Whether the Dodge brand has any plans to replace the Avenger with another model, not to be based on the 200, remains to be seen.
2015 Ford Mustang vs. Camaro and Challenger [w/poll]
Thu, 17 Jul 2014The horsepower wars are tightening among the Detroit Three, as the Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challenger are getting bigger, more powerful, and yes, more fuel efficient.
That came into sharper focus this week as more information was revealed about the most insane Challenger ever - the 707-horsepower Hellcat - followed quickly by Ford's in-depth showcase of the 2015 Mustang in Dearborn.
It's shaping up to be a golden age for enthusiasts, and what's under the hood is becoming more important than ever.
